We enjoyed a very relaxing two night stay. There is a wonderfully cozy feeling from the time u enter the front door. Next time we will definitely stay longer.

Thanks for the Memories
This is one of the most enjoyable stays my family and I have ever had. The property and house was absolutely relaxing and cozy! Surrounded by 2 acres of trees and nature the place has hard wood floors, up to date modern kitchen, Wi-Fi, a large deck that overlooks the property, just a beautiful place to get away from it all. For us (my wife and two kids) the place was enchantingly magical. My kids were blown away when they saw a herd of deer walk by while sitting on the deck. The look on their faces was priceless and made me feel so happy to be there with them. My family is a fast pace, high tech sort of family (even with kids ages 11 and 14), but for that week we were there; we were suspended in a tranquil and peaceful state of mind collectively as a family. The fire from the pellet fireplace lured the entire family into playing board games nightly; I even won a couple of times! We sprawled on the floor took out the games and it was on! Best of all there was laughter, joking around and just plain family fun and harmony. Believe me when I say “ this place sure is special”. Mary thank you so much for opening up you home to us. And Oh! Did I say that we brought in the2012 New Year there! As a father and a husband I can truly say this place made new memories for me and my family! It’s a special place run by a special person. Thank you so much Mary for the memories.

Upon arrival we were surprised by a Anniversay Card and Basket of goodies from Mary...extremely thoughtful...Our 20th Anniversary and our dog Shiloh's 5th Birthday were great reasons to great away!...and Mary's home was perfect...the grounds were just beautiful...we enjoyed every minute of our 2 days there and will certainly consider returning...We were able to get in a hike and a visit to downtown Julian but were always anxious to spend as much time at Mary's house as possible. Everything was perfect and we enjoyed the peaceful surroundings as well. Will certainly recommend Mary's Liliac Acres to our friends and family...Thanks. Doug, Jodi and Shiloh too!

2 lilac acres was the bomb!!

My mom and I spent a week at Mary's amazing house in the woods of Julian for my 50th b-day get away and it was absolutely PERFECT!! We were astounded at the the beautiful and super spacious house which included every possible thing we might need. The 2 acres are filled with so many beautiful trees which we enjoyed from the awesome large deck. It is very private and quiet and peaceful and we saw so much wildlife just sitting on the deck! We had deer and wild turkeys crossing through the property, and bluejays, woodpeckers, hummingbirds and many other wild birds who were drawn to the feeders placed around the property. It was truly everything an more than we could have hoped for!
I couldn't possibly recommend this vacation home enough. Anyone lucky enough to get to experience 2 lilac acres will be blown away. Thank you to Mary for sharing this amazing paradise which was only an hour's drive from my home. I love Big Bear, but this was just as pretty and so much closer. sue in san diego

Relaxing Weekend Getaway

My girlfriends and I decided to have a weekend retreat so we booked this Julian house. Everything was just as it was described or better. Having brunch on the deck was a great way to start the day. The daffodils were in full bloom around the property. It was such a nice time. We can't wait to go back. Thank you Mary!

SO HOMEY AND COMFORTABLE!!

First things first! This place is soooo homey! Me and my husband Tony booked our stay for in the winter time so maybe we could catch some snow! The pellet stove was great and so romantic. Our favorite part was laying a blanket by the fire place and having a great glass of wine while listening to contemporary jazz on the stereo that was provided! They have a TV set up, but we were to outstanded by the snow and homey warmth me and my hubby just stayed comfy cozy with each other. The yard was great and every morning wild turkeys and deer would pass by! They have a whole kitchen set up, dining room, and three bedrooms! MARY AND ALLY thank you from the bottom of our hearts! With our little one on the way you better bet this will become a family tradition!

I have booked Mary's property several times over the past few years and have always had a great experience. Mary has always gone out of her way to make sure my party was taken care of. I would recommend this property to anyone that wants a nice, quite, clean and comfortable place to spend some time. Thanks Mary for all your help and I look forward to returning soon.

OMG! This was one of those times in life where you look SO forward to a vacation SO much and the experience actually EXCEEDS the expectation!!! Mary and Ally, I need to THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart for giving our family one of the most memorable vacations that will always remain dear to our hearts. We had TONS of fun between touring quaint Julian and just hanging out in your lovely, immaculate home! It's so spacious! And not only is the structure of the house beautiful, but the way you've decorated it gives it SUCH a cozy feeling! In fact! Every time we'd leave to go exploring the kids couldn't wait to get back they enjoyed it so much LOL! I have to admit, hanging back at the house all together playing the games and music you provided and watching an occasional movie of yours was my favorite part too :-) We even fired up the pellet stove, even though it wasn't necessary, just to add to the ambiance of an already cozy atmosphere. Again, THANK YOU for your AWESOME hospitality! Mary and Ally, you went ABOVE AND BEYOND with your attention to detail and over the top customer service. I will be in touch to book something over the summer to enjoy your beautiful retreat and town in yet a different season! All the best until then!
