"I loved your studio. It was immaculate and stocked with any and every amenity I could hope for as a renter from paper towels, laundry soap and such staples to lovely furniture, cookware, and such a comfortable bed! Your generosity in giving us half of the garage for storage, umbrella and beach chairs and an amazing outdoor shower was just icing on the cake! Nothing could have been better than this perfect "treehouse" surrounded by light and such a short walk to the most beautiful beach on the island!"

spacious, bright, and tastefully decorated (even with some original art). It's
spotless and immediately welcoming. The bathroom and all the appliances
are new. It has its own deck and the property even has an outdoor shower!
The location is private and very quiet, yet within walking distance to the
beach. You will feel like this is really your own special place on The

My boyfriend and I would recommend this rental to any couple who likes to be away from the touristy crowd yet still be close to everything. First of all, the studio is airy, comfortable, nicely decorated, immaculate, and extremely private. It's located in a quiet, natural setting that is walking distance to the beach and 2 ponds. Since we live in the suburbs, we really appreciated not being tied down to the car. Also, West Tisbury has such a laid-back vibe (much different from Oak Bluffs and Edgartown).
We look forward to coming back.

We are writing this review and we are still here but had to post this now. We could not ask for anything better than what we found with Alice's West Tisbury studio. It is immaculate, provides more than adequate living space, well equipped and is listed 100% accurately regarding description and amenities.

After touring the entire Island and other towns, this "is" the place to be to experience what the Vineyard is all about. Alice's home is located in the woods, away from all the touristy stuff yet close enough when you want to go to those places. Staying here gives you the feel of being a resident of the Island. And West Tisbury is by far the most quaint of all the towns on the Island. We would never stay anywhere else when we return.

We did make one mistake. We assumed that because we needed to bring our own linens that we needed to bring a lot of other stuff. So we bought staples (salt, pepper, oil, etc.) and supplies (foil, wrap, paper towels, etc.) before we came onto the Island. WRONG! All that and more is already provided. So just bring your sheets and towels. Also, so nice to have a washing machine right in the studio as we assumed it would be downstairs in the garage.

The kitchen is fully equipped and more than adequate to prepare even an extensive meal. Just be aware that there is no stove or oven. There is a hot plate, toaster oven and microwave which turned out to be just fine. Even though the amenities did not list a range, we figured there would be one but quickly learned that it is no big deal. Plus, we used the outdoor grille a lot.

We don't need to go anywhere the rest of our stay to enjoy the Vineyard. Staying here in the studio, laying in the hammock, having cocktails in Alice's lovely grounds, or walking to the pond or beach is more than adequate.

Alice, thank you for being such a gracious hostess from the time we first contacted you and for providing this spot of Vineyard "heaven" for our enjoyment. We love it so much that it inspired us to make our 25 year partnership legal, at least here in Massachusetts, so got married in West Tisbury by a Justice of the Peace on Friday at the Field Gallery.

We stayed at the apartment for a wonderful long weekend. A great place to relax, the apartment is impeccable and has it all. It is in a beautiful location. We specially enjoyed the nearby beach and the walks on the wooded trails.

May husband and I wanted to get away for a week and just relax. The apartment is set back in a "country like" setting and was extremly comfortable. The owners were very helpful in letting us know how to navigate the island and the best places to go and see. It was great to have a washer/dryer in the apartment and the outside shower is a "must" to try!! We are renting another week this year and look forward to another time to kick back and have fun.

My husband and I have rented this property 2 years in a row--it's ideal for a couple and very charming. The location is so special--we loved the freedom to walk to the beach whenever we felt like it (it's so close, we could go and come back leisurely as many times a day as we wanted) Also, the conservation swimming spot, literally a few minutes walk, is out of this world. West Tisbury is such a peaceful, uncrowded part of the island. This is a great value for anyone on a budget!
