Texas Barn was a wonderful home away from home

My husband and I and our three boys stayed at the Texas Barn and it made our stay in San Antonio fantastic. There is plenty of room for a family of five and the grounds are amazing. There is a beautiful pool that is shaded from the Texas heat, family pets for the children to play with, and plenty of space so that you are not on top of each other. The owners are wonderful and the house is in an ideal location that is close to everything but not at all touristy.

Outstanding again

April 2012 was our second stay at the Texas Barn. We love the Barn. It is just as avertised and I would recomment it to anyone. We love entertaining our granddaughter on the very secure and roomy property. The TV is great! The listing is very well decorated and also very clean. The owners are great and will help in any way. We look forward to another visit at the Texas Barn.

WONDERFUL, PEACEFUL VACATION PROPERTY

We stayed at this property for a month and can't say enough good things about "The Barn."
We had never been to Texas and because of staying here, we have fallen in love with Texas. The owners are caring and extremely hospitable. The "Barn" is very comfortable and felt like home. It is a fully equipped "home away from home." The two golden retrievers will melt your heart. You forget that you are actually in a large city, because it feels like you are in the country. The property is fully gated and the grounds are beautiful. We would definately recommend this property and are looking forward to our month long stay next year.

Warm Country Feeling

We loved staying here! It was like being in the country but was close to so many wonderful shopping malls and other interesting sites. We went to the Riverwalk, SeaWorld, San Marcos Shopping Mall. All within driving distance. We also went to LBJ's "White House" which was a very informing and interesting time. I did not remember him spending so much time on his ranch during his term as President. We saw deer outside the window. It is just a wonderful place to stay and Paul and Ronda are very kind and I am sorry we did not get to spend time with them but we were on the go all the time with me shopping and Ron golfing and spending time with family. But if we ever get back to San Antonio, We will definately check to see if the 'Barn House' is available. Thank you for a lovely time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Awesome, Exceeded all Expectations

A very delightful, helpful, couple.Their hard work has truly paid off in a very unique and very comfortable stay. In a nice quite area, excellent location in an othwise busy city. Our stay could not have been anymore enjoyable. I just wish we could have enjoyed that bottle of wine with Ronda and Paul, and wish them all the best. We would stay here anytime.

Thanksgiving Delight

We visited family over Thanksgiving and stayed with our dog at the Barn House, for the first time. The Barn House is a VERY charming apartment. It is very well appointed, comfortable and clean. The bed in the master bedroom is especially, comfy! I felt right at home, because some of the wallpaper prints were the same as fabric window coverings I had in one of my own homes! I even felt comfortable enough to have my family over one night for dinner. Traveling with a pet is not always easy, but Rhonda and Paul made our dog feel, as welcome as, they made us feel. Our dog enjoyed playing with their two dogs and met his first cat (each of their three!) He had as good a time as we did! Rhonda and Paul could not have been more accommodating and friendly. We had a great time and will return again!

Home away from Home!!!

My family of three from Arizona had a wonderful and memorable 30-day stay at the Barn. I am a stay at home mom to a 12 month old and my husband is finalizing medical school and was rotating through a medical program in San Antonio. We enjoyed our stay at the barn for so many reasons that I was eager to post a review.
• Excellent floor plan and move in ready. No need to bring anything as they had it all! We had enough space to set up a home office, a safe play area for our 12 month old son and enough closet space to completely unpack and store our luggage. Our son enjoyed the soaker tub and played in it daily. We enjoyed the open floor plan because we could cook, watch TV and keep an eye on our son ALL at the same time.
• Location, location, location – gated estate with a beautiful pool in a safe, peaceful and quiet neighborhood close to everything: restaurants, medical facility, YMCA, parks for jogging and walking the baby, Six Flags, downtown and the river walk.
• Lovely family – we had the pleasure to get to know Rhonda and Paul and their 2 dogs and many cats. They have created a lovely home and atmosphere, which was a treat for us since we have been living away from our home for many months. They exude southern hospitality and are just nice people.
Shawn and I would recommend “The Barn” to anyone needing a temporary home away from home.

We really loved the property and felt very secure. The pets were great and so were their owners. Staying here made our visit very pleasant and enjoyable. I felt that everything was clean and well cared for. The quarters were roomy, plenty of closet, well decorated and not cluttered. I just cannot say anything negative about the Texas Barn or the owners. We will definitely stay here again and recommend it highly.

Better than we ever expected, definitely would stay here again in a second.

We just returned from a full week stay at the Barn House in San Antonio. We have two children (5 and 7 yrs old). The property is very clean, nicely decorated, private and feels very safe. The owners home is a very short walk away from the barn, and has the pool (which we enjoyed every day, sometimes more than once) and the pets! They have lots of cats, one small kitty (Little Bear) and a wonderful dog named Molly. My children (especially the daughter) was in love. My son enjoyed the swingset and the fact that part of the driveway is on a hill and he could roll his lego creations down the hill. Paul and Rhonda are wonderful hosts, very nice people, nice to talk with and hang out with, but with just the right touch, giving the right amount of privacy and the right amount of hospitality. We just had a fantastic time. Our children didn't want to leave, and on the drive home asked if we could "rent it for a year...and sell our house in Dallas...", that's how much they liked it.

I would recommend this property 1000% without reservation. Especially if you have 2 younger children that can share a bed still....and they love animals..this is the place for you.
