Amazing loft in the heart of Manuel Antonio

Casa Amanecer is simply one of the most beautiful, relaxing places we stayed during our Honeymoon in Costa Rica. Christen and her staff have created something truly magical.
Not knowing what to expect never having been to Costa Rica, this property was THE highlight of our trip. It's surrounded by lush foliage, by with an amazing view that stretches across the valley toward the water. Every morning we were greeted by a couple of Iguanas and every evening a small troop of monkeys in the tree next to the balcony.
The property itself is amazing. It's sits on a huge plot of land, secured by a gate. The house has an alarm and every amenity you could ask for, including a gas grill on the patio. Anything you need is just a phone call away.
Steps from the Estates are two fantastic restaurants. And Manuel Antonio Park (easily one the most beautiful national parks in the world) is down the road about 10 mins away.
I cannot recommend highly enough how great our experience at Casa Amanecer was. It's a hidden gem.

Tranquility in an aesthetic surrounding

We spent our first week of our stay in Costa Rica at this spectacular, very special loft house. It certainly was the best of the five accommodations we experienced. The various views from the different levels of the house, from inside as well as from the many balconies outside, are phenomenal. The villa is a paradise for people who are seeking relaxation and tranquility in a contemporary, aesthetic surrounding. The kitchen is well equipped, no need to venture out. Everything in the house feels very comfortable. All around the house you are close to nature - Toucans, other colorful birds and wildlife come directly to the trees surrounding the villa. Having a 4-wheel drive vehicle was helpful since the roads inside the El Salto Estate are rough and steep. The owner is extremely helpful and competent.

Great for a Romantic Getaway

My biggest concern before arriving there was security. Something that is not fully explained is that the house is located within a very large private compound of homes, with a front gate that is manned 24 hours. Then on top of that, the house itself has it's own fully fenced-in lot, and modern home security system with central monitoring. I was very much at ease after I saw all this.
Now for the other good stuff: My fiance and I went to Manuel Antonio primarily for the beach, and private romantic time together. This place was perfect. You have the utmost in privacy, with only the sun, the birds, and the butterflies facing you from an open jungle view. The house is clean and you have all the mod-cons if you want them, and you're only minutes away from what I consider to be one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. We would definitely go back. This could be my next home away from home!

Jewel in the Jungle

We celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary in this fabulous home and it lived up to all of our expectations. The property was absolutely gorgeous and the pictures do not do the views justice. We woke up to gorgeous sunrises daily and watched the monkeys frolic in the trees. If you are looking for a place to rest and relax this is the perfect spot for you. This was our first visit to Costa Rica and the owner was an invaluable part of our trip. She was very helpful in making sure we had a wonderful time and her advice and recommendations were spot on. We were a little disappointed in the management company but we refused to let it tarnish this "Jewel in the Jungle" and the owner proved herself to be the Hope Diamond! Thank you so much for being so attentive to our needs. Christen you are fabulous!!!!!!

Already Planning the Next Trip Back!

My son and I had the pleasure of staying at Casa Amanecer for 8 days in early August 2011, and the experience greatly exceeded our expectations on many levels. The house itself is an absolute treat--every inch is gorgeous and the views are beyond description. There is no better way to start the morning than by waking up to a panoramic view of the sun rising over the jungle. And our daily backyard visitors--10 to 15 squirrel monkeys--made sure that our early evenings were full of entertainment!
The house is perfectly situated--close and convenient to Manuel Antonio Park and Quepos, while set apart enough to feel like a private retreat. Additionally, the owners of the house and property management took great care of us by helping arrange tours, checking in regularly to make sure we were comfortable, and even making sure we were fed and pampered when we arrived extremely delayed and without our luggage (the airline temporarily lost our bags!). They are wonderful people.
Essentially, time spent inside of Casa Amanecer was just as exciting and fulfilling as time spent enjoying the great outdoors of Costa Rica. Even indoors, you feel like you're a part of the natural surroundings.
We are already planning on next visit, and wouldn't dream of staying anywhere else!
