This year, our family of five decided to spend Thanksgiving away in Vermont. We were lucky enough to come across The Wazilewski's beautiful house on homeaway, and had 6 wonderful, relaxing days there. Upon arrival, Katie and John had started a roaring fire, and holiday music was playing throughout the house. The table was even set with gorgeous dinnerware for the anticipated turkey dinner! The house was so perfect....absolutely wonderful accomodations...clean and impecably kept! We couldn't ask for anything better! All we ask is that there are future weeks that we can rent from these lovely owners!! A true gem of a home!! Thanks for the wonderful Thanksgiving memories! The Muldowney Family :)

This property is totally magnificent inside and out. It doesn't get any better than this. The owners are so pleasant and helpful. The home is decorated beautifully and is much better than it shows in photos (if you can imagine). We have been renting for almost 30 years in Vermont and this one takes first place. What you see is absolutely what you get....and more. Centrally located to all of our favorite locations in Vermont. Bedrooms very large and spacious, kitchen is gorgeous, bathrooms are stately. Downstairs gameroom is very comfortable. Can't say enough about this place. Will be back again soon.

if spacious rooms, exquisite decor, high ceilings, fully-equipped House and Garden kitchen, inviting outdoor pool and total privacy are not priorities for your next vacation, do not stay at Katie and John's manse in bucolic Belmont, Vermont.

Looking for exciting night life? Think competititve ping pong challenges night swims in the lit pool, flashlight hikes on meadow trails,barbecues on the deck overlooking the vast acerage,with the Vermont hills as backdrop or just chill out in front of the huge t.v. on the lush couches downstairs.

Katie and John exemplify New England hospitality. Everything in the house was available to us and the open policy (from herbs to the unlimited use of the phone) added to the feeling of being at our own home(although ours is not decorated in such a plush and elegant fashion. (The pictures do not do the house justice; not at all.

We were a family of seven, three generations, with two teen-agers. The large bedrooms and the expansive public spaces provided just the right balance between togetherness and privacy. Wait until you see the master bedroom suite, and a suite it is.

The house and property are immaculate and in perfect condition. We all thoroughly enjoyed the serenity and built-in relaxation, the ample provisions of dishware, china, etc. and the fact that the seven of us easily fit around tables, inside and out.

This is a not-to-be missed special place. You are lucky to have found it.

I would like to begin by saying a big thanks to Katie and family for sharing this wonderful place with our family. They were at the house when we arrived, explained how everything worked, gave us contact numbers in case we needed anything and quickly departed. They were absolutely charming. Our stay was during July and the weather was couldn’t have been nicer, warm days and cooler evenings. We enjoyed short day trips and evenings swims followed by the whole family gathering in the large wonderfully equipped kitchen to prepare dinner. Everything in and around the house was thoughtfully taken care of and we all had the most wonderful stay. The property is beautiful from the picture perfect views to the neatly mown walking paths and ducks on the pond, which we all enjoyed. The home has everything you could want and more, with lots of room and things to do for everyone, it allowed you do as little or stay as busy as you wanted. Our three year old couldn’t have been more excited about the play set out back, it was the first spot we visited every morning before starting out on our daily excursions. And how exciting it was to be visited by a mother deer and her baby every morning while having breakfast, I’m certain Katie must have arranged this !! What a perfect location. Vermont is a beautiful place to vacation in the summer, the people are warm and friendly, the location is breath taking and we were all sorry to have to leave so soon. We are looking forward to our next visit to this wonderful place in the near future. Thanks for a wonderful vacation!

I rented the home for a vacation for my family. Upon arrival we were met by Katie
and her son Josh. They showed us around the house gave us an idea of where everything was and how things operated. Wonderful Family, who told us to call if we needed anything.The house was immaculate and was in one of the most beautiful locations I have seen in Vermont. Total peace and quiet. The nearest town, Belmont was less than a five minute drive. Not much to the town, but if you needed
some groceries, they were close by. Ludlow and Okemo were a fifteen minute drive. You can find everything you need in Ludlow. The kitchen was huge and we were told if we needed something or ran out of something to help ourselves. You dont find this anywhere! The bedrooms were all large and spacious, with very comfoftable beds. I had four nights of terriffic sleep!
Downstairs was a great place for family fun. A ping pong table, foosball table, mini basketball for the children, a huge tv with a playstation. It was a great place for the children to be especially since they were a little older and the adults could relax upstairs in the kitchen and livingroom where there was another tv and a huge fireplace. The kitchen was stocked with plenty of cooking utensils, so if you enjoy to cook you can go to town. The house had radient heat, so the air was never dry, like some homes I had rented in the past. The rugs were all new, and I would suggest taking your shoes off and leaving in the huge mud room. I have a house that I rent, and know how much people can be slobs, it does not take much to clean up a little before you leave, and if you really have made a mess, you should be charged extra for cleaning, since cleaning services charge more. You are renting someone elses home and you should respect it.
If you are looking for a clean, comfortable, quiet location the house is ideal. If you are looking for a party house, I would look elsewhere.

My friends and I can honestly say we couldn’t have asked for a better experience during our stay at the Wasilewski household. It is very spacious and the kitchen was incredible. The house was exactly how the Wasilewski's described it, and the pictures still may not illustrate how truly immaculate and breathtaking it was. The proximity to Okemo is extremely ideal, and the ski conditions were much better than we all expected. The Wasilewski’s even surprised us with a gift basket that we found upon arrival. The night before our stay some of us went up to Ludlow for an extra day of skiing, and Katie was able to provide us with various housing options in the area. A few days after our stay I received an email from Katie that someone had left an earring, and she kindly returned it with our security deposit. They are great people who made the renting process simple and stress free. I genuinely believe it would be almost impossible to find a better deal for such an awesome house and I would recommend it to anyone. My friends and I are looking forward to renting this house again this season!

IT'S VERY DIFFICULT TO DESCRIBE SOMETHING THAT'S AS PERFECT AS THIS HOME. VERY COAZY, SPACIOUS, LUXURIOUS HOME EQUIPPED WITH EVERY LITTLE THING YOU WOULD NEED ON A VACATION FROM A FULLY EQUIPPED KITCHEN TO THE SMALLEST DETAIL AS TISSUES IN EVERY BATHROOM OR SHAMPOO. THE AREA WHERE THE HOUSE IS SITUATED IS JUST A WINTER WONDERLAND, EVEN THE DRIVE UP TO THE HOUSE TAKES YOUR BREATH AWAY. WHAT ELSE CAN I SAY.....EXCEPT THAT WE CAN'T WAIT TO COME BACK AND STAY IN THIS MAGNIFICENT HOME.

How much more beautiful could this home and property be? The home and its surroundings are straight out of a Vermont postcard.
My family and I had the pleasure of experiencing the most wonderful vacation in September '11 that we ever had. From the moment
we arrived, we were pleasantly surprised by everything. Pictures do this home no justice!

The home is surrounded by the most beautiful specimens of nature we have even seen. Every morning while sipping our coffee in the
dining room that overlooked this nature preserve, we got to enjoy birds, flocks of turkeys and even deers frolicking in the meadows.
We also shared our morning and sunset walks through the meadows with these wonderful creatures.

Maple Hill Road is a majestic road with tree lined towering Maples. We cannot wait to come back for our winter vacation and see
these amazing trees covered in snow! This property has it all! It is a short ride to all major attractions, but who ever want to leave?
The home is supplied with everything you need, sheets, towels, a full pantry, a packed picnic basket and a welcome baskets filled
with Vermont goodies!

Our children spent hours playing outside on the play set and flying kites in the fields. When weather did not permit, we were inside playing
ping-pong, Foosball or the WII on a huge TV. Okemo mountain being so close to this home, a simple 10 minute drive allowed us to enjoy
their new Mountain Coaster, miniature golf and indoor swimming pool.

The family that owns this lovely home are the most considerate and personable people you would ever want to rent from. They made sure
we had whatever we needed to make our stay perfect. We have already reserved our 2012 winter and summer vacation!
