Our group, the Apostolic Leadership Institute, had our annual planning meeting here and we were blown away by the excellent accommodations of Spruce Lake Farm. Everything about the house and grounds was excellent! We will definitely be back again.

Oh, my, what a place you are renting to me...It has a magical feeling to it.

Drove out there with a friend yesterday, which turned out to be a glorious drive, and walked around the house and around part of the lake. Among other things, it looks like heaven for the grandchildren. The whole place reminds me of the estates of my childhood (I grew up in the Netherlands) and of my ancestral home, so I felt quite at home walking around. It exudes peace, warmth, care, imagination and class....

I cannot rave enough about Spruce Lake Farm. The house is beautiful and very spacious! We had 7 adults and 3 large dogs who loved the privacy and room to run! Everything and anything we needed was stocked in the home.(We did bring our own food of course) The lake is peaceful and adds to the ambience of the estate. I would suggest printing out directions to the house when you come. We relied on cell phone GPS which we lost in Bovina but we met some wonderful people along our way who guided us to our temporary home! We will certainly return. Adam is a wonderful "host" who was very responsive to our questions and gave us great information about the area. This is no doubt a 5 star home! Thanks for sharing it with us!

My new wife and I picked Spruce Lake Farm as the venue for our wedding over many other places that we looked at in the Catskills because of its stunning views. We could not have made a better decision. Everything from our experience with Adam, to the weather that day, to all of our vendors familiarity with the area.

We had a beautiful ceremony and reception in mid september at midday on the edge of the lake. Prior to the wedding our families and friends stayed at the house for a few days and had a wonderful time relaxing and preparing for the wedding. The house, in addition to being more than enough space, is beautifully furnished, fully stocked and more than comfortable for the 12 people we had staying there. The first night we grilled out on the porch (the grill works perfectly and there is extra propane at the house). We all sat down in the dining area and had an amazing time drinking and eating as we looked out over the lake.

The next morning we received our rentals from Morris Tent Rental (they come highly recommended for being very helpful, timely and friendly-I worked with Penny and Stephanie). That night we had our rehearsal dinner at Peekamoose Restaurant down in Big Indian, one of our favorite restaurants in the Catskills, ask for Marybeth.

The day of the wedding went flawlessly. Our caterers (Quarter Moon Cafe) had everything they needed at the house and when we couldn't find the hose, Adam was an easy phone call away (he answered immediately). Quarter Moon Cafe was more than we could ever have imagined. Aside from the food being out-of-this-world delicious, they took care of absolutely everything with ease and expertise. Dealing with Jonah Shaw (the owner and chef at Quarter Moon Cafe, based in Delhi) was a pleasure and he went above and beyond to make sure that the wedding was easy and flawless for us, a blessing for a couple planning their own wedding.

We will, most definitely, be staying at Spruce Lake Farm again. I definitely recommend it for anyone interested in a small intimate mountain wedding (ours had about 80 people). But if you just want to spend the week there for a vacation you couldn't choose a more relaxing space, with a more welcoming and accommodating host.

What a wonderful place to get away from it all, secluded and quiet is the key here. We spent hours just gazing at th wonderful scenery right outside your door. what more could you ask for. The house is HUGE and well appointed for entertaining a large group. Adam was very accomodating and his staff was also there to help with any needs as they might arise. We so enjoyed the place we are thinking of going again next summer. Thsi is a true get away from it all so if that's what your in th market for ths place will not disapoint you. Even on a rainy day there is enough to keep yourself occupied. Well worth the cost.

This is the place you're looking for. The house is HUGE, comfortable and secluded. It sits right on the its very own private lake, with a dock and some row boats for use. There is a huge back lawn to use for tossing a ball around or other games. Ping-pong table in the basement. Huge deck with TWO great grills. And Adam is wonderful to deal with and understanding. I could not possibly recommend Spruce Lake Farm highly enough, it is exactly what we - a group of 6 couples - wanted to spend some time together. We WILL be back!!

Spent a week here with our son, daughter-in-law and 3 grandkids. I was concerned that the kids might be bored being in the "electronic" generation but they had a great time. They took advantage of the row boats and spend lots of time fishing, swimming or horse playing in the lake. Also the grounds provided plenty of opportunities for outside games and indoors there was the ping pong table and even a piano, which 2 of the grandchildren really enjoyed. It is a beautiful house and property and the owner, Adam, is very responsive and easy to work with. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone looking for a place for extended family to spend time together.

After much debate about where to go away for weekend away, we settled for the Catskills region, as it is a reasonable commute (+/- 3hrs) from NYC. We needed pet-friendly accommodation, preferably private and definitely beautiful. When I discovered Spruce Lake Farm I knew we had to go there and I quickly went about organising a party big enough to full the 4/5 bedrooms and make use of the ample facilities! Even though our group was only there for a few days and the weather wasn't the best, we had an awesome time BBQing, playing board games and walking in the grounds. The house is so carefully stocked in terms of everything you could need on holiday - labels on all the kitchen cupboards, a pool table, fireplace, piano, croquet - you name it! At the end of the weekend, it appeared unanimous that no-one wanted to leave! Hopefully we'll be back and next time we will get to test the canoe on the lake!
