Great house, love Puna. Will be back!

We stayed here for 4 nights in January. The photos online do not do this home justice. The house is beautiful and well appointed. The kitchen had everything we needed including many spices, cooking oils, etc. The downstairs is newly remodeled and has gorgeous high ceilings and designer bathrooms with bamboo floors throughout. The upstairs is also beautiful. Spacious, modern and super clean. You can't see the ocean from the home because of the dense foliage, but it is a 5 minute walk to the path that leads down to the beach and then another 3-5 minute hike down to the beach from there. The path is fairly rough. We made the hike in flip flops, but it would be very difficult for someone who is elderly or frail. The beach is beautiful, and there were people swimming there, but we did not since it was very rough and chilly. We did sunbathe there - but go early because the sun sets behind the cliff around 3 or 4. About 1/2 of the people were clothed, 1/2 were not - no one cared either way.
We loved the sound of the frogs at night, but they are really loud. Personally, I think it's the best white noise ever and slept great here. When you are here, be sure to visit Uncle Roberts on Wednesday nights for the Farmers Market and live music. Also the Kapoho tide pools were like snorkeling in an aquarium...pristine coral and tons of fish!
Also, Juan was great to work with. Very friendly and laid back, yet promptly answered all emails and questions.
