Perfect Florida Vacation

We loved this house and the whole area. The owners were friendly, easy to work with, and immediately responsive to our questions. The house is fresh, cozy, and family-friendly. The listing photos are very accurate; if anything, it felt more comfortable in person. We loved the beautiful art and the open, island feel. The kitchen had everything we needed. It is well stocked for all paper goods, soap/shampoo, beach toys, and towels and linens. We really appreciated being able to use the bikes to explore the area as well as the kayaks to paddle in the Gulf. We were amazed that it was warm enough for the kids to swim in the Gulf in early January, they had a blast! This area is so natural and lovely. We kayaked the Weeki Wachee, saw manatees, saw the mermaids, saw sandhill cranes and a bald eagle - writing this is making me wish we were still there! We did drive to Orlando one day to see the Harry Potter stuff and it was a nice drive through rural Florida. And Tampa is also an easy drive. I definitely would recommend it, and hope to return next year with extended family for another relaxing and fun week on the island.
