Situated in a two acres property at the edge of the Topanga State Park, our guest house has a spectacular Ocean view as well as a huge deck and two flat yards surrounded by tall trees. Floor to ceiling windows, seven skylights, and a fire place opening up on master bedroom and living room. It is equipped with fridge, oven, dish washer, kitchen ware, and access to washer and dryer on the property. Table for six, love seat, and hammock for two, make its large deck the part of the house most enjoyed by our guests, especially at sunrise or sunset when the spectacular Ocean view is clearest.
Wi-Fi service but no tv or land line. This is a place for rest and/or work in communion with nature.
I am a University Professor, and my wife Elisa is a film editor. We live on the property along and have four dogs, and four cats, but they stay behind an invisible fence. We love pet-loving people!
Topanga means 'A place above' in the language of the local American-Indian tribe that inhabited this place. It is indeed a sacred space that inspires to reach 'above' practical and material concerns in life. Living in the heart of Los Angeles in contact with a nature still untamed makes for a unique daily experience, still in touch with the spiritual roots of this nation. We just cannot think of living anywhere else in this area and love to share our good fortune with friends and occasional renters.
Quiet, privacy, silence, peace.
