Photos and Description of the West Village vacation apartment rental
Apartment, 1 Bedroom + Other (See Description), 1 Bath, (Sleeps 2-3)

This wonderful apartment with stunning hardwood floors is one of only two in the building. Up one flight of stairs with exposed brick walls, and into your 600 sq ft city getaway you will find a sparkling white bathroom (with combination shower/tub) and in the bedroom, your Queen- size, latex mattress awaits you (doctor recommended for bad backs).

Perfect for meals you may wish to “eat in,' the kitchen is fully stocked with dishes, pots, and pans for the cooks among you. But why cook? Some of New York’s finest restaurants are in the neighborhood.

Only steps away is the Grand Szechuan, recently opened and acclaimed by New York Magazine as Best New Chinese Restaurant and for the best price, too. And authentic to boot! Across the street is the famous St. Luke’s Place, listed in every guidebook as the Historic “must see” street in The Village. As day turns to night, the urban sounds of the city immerse you in the magic of the New York City experience.

You can rent a book from the Hudson Branch of the New York Library and enjoy it nearby in The James J. Walter Park. The Park packs plenty of entertainment for children of all ages; from jungle gyms to tether ball, ball fields and athletic fields, as well as an Italian Bocce Court for the young-at-heart. Adjacent is the Tony Dapolito Recreation Center which offers adult memberships at $35, seniors at $10, and 6-17 year olds are free.

Bleecker Street, only two short blocks away, is famous for its new designer shops and specialty food stores, selling everything from freshly baked bread to homemade Italian sausage.  Experience what it is like to be a real New Yorker with anything that you could ever want within 2 blocks.  We are sure you will enjoy your stay in this charming Village apartment near all transportation, shopping and some of the best restaurants in the Village.  The 6th and 7th Avenue subway lines are close and all other lines are nearby.

Whatever your heart desires, from music to food, is within minutes of this magical apartment.

I really enjoyed my ten days at this convenient and comfortable apartment. Gianluca could not have been more helpful, charming and thoughtful! The apartment is on the second floor on 7th. Ave. so it can be loud at times...especially this time of years when it's nice to have the windows open. I got used to the typical city noises but some people might not. People have mentioned the subway noise and vibration. Yes, I was aware of it but it was no big deal to me. I actually found the rumble quite soothing. I don't watch much TV but I did notice that every channel you could want is available. I had problems with the WiFi and that is the reason for 4 instead of 5 stars. I needed VERY reliable internet for my work and there were times when I was frustrated. Gianluca would reboot the router which usually helped but the signal seemed a bit weak in the apartment. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was large by NYC standards. Everything was well laid out and I felt very much at home. GREAT restaurants all over the neighborhood. Every subway line within a very short walk to get all over Manhattan and Brooklyn.

The apt. is exactly as pictured. Wifi worked perfectly. The rumble from the subway was minor. It is conveniently located with lots of restaurants and subway stations nearby. Gianluca was very helpful. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

I had the pleasure of staying in this little apartment in Greenwich Village late September. The weather was great, the rooms were clean, the people were great to deal with. The place is close to Houston Subway station so it was easy to get there using the Air train and the subway. Surrounded by restuarants.. I had a delicious spinach salad topped with chicken at Spunto right downstairs. My only negative was the regular vibration and noise from the subway passing under the apartment. I can see where city people might not even notice it, but I live in the quiet forest,, and found it a bit disturbing. But , I do recommend this as a great place to have a nice personal base in NYC.
