This apartment will make your stay unforgettable! It is located in a safe and quiet area called 'Champel' in the heart of Geneva, next to a gorgeous park called 'Bertrand', served by bus a taxi stop and all kind of shops.

At the second floor, with elevator, of a 1940's building, this apartment enjoys a South-West exposure making it a very luminous place.

The apartment is at 15 minutes from the train station (by bus n. 3) and 30 from the airport (by bus n. 3). With the bus n.1, in four stops one can reach the Geneva lake.

Description of the inside: After the entrance (there is a secured door), there is on the left a wooden walking closet (roughly 5 square meters). On the right there is a, as I call it, laundry and technical corner: behind 3 big elegant sliding doors there is a wash machine, a sink for washing by hand, a hanging clothesline on one side and a storage room for cleaning products and tools (iron, ironing board, vacuum cleaner...) on the other side. The hall gives access to the living room as well. The kitchen is fully equipped (with dish machine, oven, toaster, kettle, dishes, pots, cutlery, glasses and so on), the fridge is tall and has a freezer. The bedroom is separated by sliding doors from the living room and the bathroom and has access to the small balcony. The whole apartment has wooden floor and has been recently renovated. The bathroom has an italian shower with 3 functions (front jets, fixed shower and a shower phone).

Balcony: The balcony measures 5 square meters. I have furnished it with a table with 2 chairs and where I used to breakfast in the morning or dining often (it's for 2 max).

IT: The apartment has also a high speed Wi-Fi, flat screen TV with more than 100 international chains and a DVD.

beautiful refurbished apartment in fancy champel

my husband and i stayed in clarissa's apartment for 6 months, so we certainly got to know her apartment and the neighborhood well.

location: great location, just blocks from a wonderful park for walking. just around the corner from le pain quotidian, where we went often for breakfast, close to metro, buses come super regularly. my husband worked at the wmo, near the un, and had an easy commute.

the actual apartment: very nice small building with friendly neighbors, 1 bedroom apartment exactly as pictured. modern kitchen, modern bathroom, beautiful hard wood floors, huge closet. the apartment is well stocked in terms of kitchen gear and cleaning supplies. it's an upscale apartment for sure. comfortable bed. couch in the living room extends to a sleeper, for visitors.

the owner: clarissa is very kind, conscientous, moral...no problems whatsoever with paying the rent or getting our security deposit back at the end of our stay. she's such a good person and given the length of our stay even went above and beyond and ordered us extra english language television channels (which we didn't ask for...just her kindness) and she brought over plants and flowers and potted them for the deck/patio, turning the patio in an explosion of color and greenery for us. the geraniums all along the ledge were just gorgeous. the deck is a nice sunny spot on a quiet street, great for meals, great for relaxing.

we had a fully positive experience staying in clarissa's apartment.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Girls Getaway, Tourists without a Car, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway

Home away from home

My husband and I just returned home from a month stay at this apartment in the Champel area of Geneva. The location of this apartment is ideal, close to a wonderful park, great shops around the corner and just a short block to the bus stop. It is an easy walk to downtown Geneva. The apartment was just as shown in the pictures. It was immaculate and well stocked with cleaning and kitchen supplies. There is ample storage space and well supplied with linens and towels. What makes this a special place is the owner Claris. She is very helpful and a wealth of information.She was extremely responsive to any needs that we had and could not do enough for us.As our son and his family lives in Geneva,it is very likely that we will be returning to Geneva in the near future and we would not hesitate to stay at this apartment again. My husband and I felt like we made a friend in Claris.

Just what we were looking for!

The location is fantastic - the neighborhood is friendly and safe; there are several excellent bakeries and convenience stores in the immediate vicinity; the lake is a short, scenic stroll or bus ride away - the owner was helpful and attentive, and the apartment itself was perfect for our needs. The photos and description online correspond exactly with what we found upon arrival. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom beautifully appointed, the kitchen well-equipped (including basic food supplies), and the laundry/work area fully stocked and convenient. The walk-in closet was roomy and spotless, with thoughtful details like lights that turn on automatically, lots of hangers, and a sliding door. We did not try the fold-out bed, but fell in love with the balcony. Even in a rainstorm it was cosy and protected; on sunny days we could not resist eating breakfast among the geraniums under the awning.

Apartment Living at its best

We stayed five nights in this location and it was a lovely setting with a most accommodating host. The apartment was clean, up-to-date with great appliances and cooking tools. We appreciated the extra care taken in facilitating our needs.
