Our home away from home for 5 months

My parents rented this beautiful home for the winter with the expectation that various family members would visit over the course of five months. Everything in the house was exactly as listed in the ad - it was filled with lovely furniture and decoration and was immaculately clean. The pool and spa were absolutely wonderful (although it took awhile to figure out how to keep it running properly; guess we should have looked in the manual). There were pool toys, tons of towels, bikes in the garage, truly everything one could ask for. The kitchen was full of cookware, ovenware and serving plates, (although my parents found the dishes very heavy) everything we needed. Over the course of their stay, many family members took turns visiting and it was great to have so many bedroom choices, lovely dining area and great backyard to hang out with family in. Tim the pool man showed up on time every time and kept the saltwater pool in excellent condition and the grounds were cleaned every Saturday. We have to make special mention of Char, the go to woman for any problems that we ran into. She went above and beyond what was her job so many times and was so helpful in getting my parents set up in November. We are all very grateful to her. The location is fantastic for getting anywhere in the area; by the time we left we could make it to Palm Springs in 20 minutes and Indio in 10! The one downside is the fact that the train tracks are very close as is the 1-10 so the noise from traffic can be quite loud at night, especially in the casita. There is a lovely park just at the back of the compound which we walked in a lot. Gary (the owner) gave us his cell phone number and responded to any question or concern we had. We would all recommend this house to anyone looking for a large home which is extremely well furnished and maintained with an owner who will respond to any concerns.
