We rented Starwind for 4 nights in January '12 and I can't sing it's praises any louder. Bev and David were extremely gracious hosts; I'm not sure if they accommodate everyone as warmly as they did for us, but I imagine from the reviews elsewhere, they do. The house was very comfortable and extremely private. We were so glad we stayed on this part of Maui instead of the more resort oriented area. We felt the house was perfectly situated to explore the entire island because it's centrally located. It's a few minutes away from Paia, where there is a fantastic grocery store (Mana Foods), and we really enjoyed coming home after a jammed packed day of snorkeling, bike riding and driving to dinner at our private home and then soaking in the hot tub under the most outrageous night sky. No doubt about it, when we go back to Maui, we'll absolutely stay here again. I can't stop thinking about the view...
