Gem near Wenceslas Square

The apartment was a little gem and a haven to retreat to in the heart of Prague! It was very close to Wenceslas Square, and a short walk to Old Town Square, Republic Square, and Charles Bridge! This was one of the most spacious apartments we had seen in Europe, with a very large and generously sized bedroom, living room and bathroom. Even the ceilings were quite high, giving the illusion it was even larger than it was!
It also had one of the best showers we had experienced in Europe. It not only had great water pressure - similar to that of North America which is a rarity in Europe where water pressure is normally quite weak in the shower- but an ample amount of hot water - again, another luxury while in Europe.
The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed to cook meals in including pots, pans, dishes, cooking oil, etc, and the cleaning supplies required including dish detergent and dishwasher tabs. The washroom had plenty of towels, paper towels and hand soap.
There are two grocery stores nearby, a Tesco's and an Alberts, both no more than 2 or 3 blocks away. My only complaints would be that the elevator isn't that useful as it only stops a floor above or below the apartment, so you always have to do one flight of stairs, so we wound up using the stairs most of the time. As well, the manager needs to do a better job of showing you the apartment when you arrive. It was quite cold and since radiators aren't common in North America, it would have been helpful to been shown how to turn them up or down, since adjusting the thermostat doesn't do much unless the radiators are actually turned up. He also didn't explain that to get to Wenceslas Square, you have to go into the park across the street, go down a flight of stairs, go through an underground tunnel, and go up the other side as there is no other way to cross the freeway that divides the building from it and the Square.
Otherwise, I would definitely recommend this unit to others visiting Prague as it's a very good price for what you get, it's very comfortable and in a very convenient location.
