What makes this villa unique
I live in Naples, Florida and spend months at a time at 'One Rhythm Villa' in Jamaica. Doing this, I feel good and at home...I am grateful..I always Love it when family and friends find thier way for a visit...
I especially favor this location because it is private, quiet and on the seaside.I Love the Sea. When I first came upon this area, it was an instant knowing for me that I would one day be at home here in Jamaica. That was almost 15 years ago. When I first saw the Sea, it was full of so many different shades of turquoise that I could not look away.... so I just sat in gratitude of the beauty surrounding me & took it all in.
One Rhythm Villa opens up to the outside gardens and sitting areas, it is like having a flower garden inside. There is a gentle sea breeze that flows through the villa most all day.

Amazing/Unique Winter Vacation

We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 week stay at One Rhythm. Our party of 2 couples do a winter vacation every year and this was our first time in Jamaica. Here are some things about One Rhythm that we felt were unique:
1. Healthy eating - we usually eat out a lot on vacation, but not here. We had fabulous meals everyday that included lots of fresh fruits and vegetables. Ms. Annette just may be the best cook in Jamaica.
2. No need for A/C - One Rhythm opens up to sea breezes and was always comfortable.
3. Hand painted furniture and tree carvings - we've never seen this anywhere else.
4. Amazing beach - walk east on the beach and you'll find scenic fishing boats (maybe antique). Walk west and you'll find 3/4 mile of isolated beach that include lava rock formations. Bring your camera.
5. No rental car - Andrew is an excellent driver. We saved a lot of money and probably our lives by using Andrew to take us to the various sites and activities.
6. The Jamaican people - we thoroughly enjoyed interacting with the locals everywhere we went. Duncans is an experience in itself.

"Once Upon a Time"
Once upon a time, in the land far, far away, there was a kingdom known as One Rhythm. It was a place of exotic and wonderful flora and fauna and tastes and smells. It was a kingdom where peace, respect and love flourished. It was founded by Queen Karen of the Northland and managed by a shaman known by some as annette, and others as Christine, and a few others as Stan :) The citizens viewed the shaman as very wise, but some also believed she had magical powers. There were tales of her turning sand into bread and weeds into exotic and mesmerizing feasts. It was said that once you visited One Rhythm it was always with you from the first blink in the morning until the last blink at night. Those who never visited thought it must be a fairy tale. It is said the citizens and visitors to One Rhythm that they lived thereafter with pleasant days and pleasant nights. Thanks for the memories.
The foregoing was written by by husband on the last night of our stay. He read to annette Christine to her delight! I won't say what she said afterward but Vince received a grateful hug. We had an amazing vacation at One Rhythm and cherish every moment spent in the caring hands of Christine. We are most grateful to Karen for this beautiful home! This was a trip to paradise. And each day was filled with great memories. Thank you Karen! And Christine!

Wonderful week at ONE RHYTHM!

This was our second visit to Duncan's Bay and our first stay at ONE RHYTHM Villa. WOW!!! The villa was amazing! It was beautifully decorated and very comfortable. We wish there was an opportunity to give our stay more than 5 stars, because we wanted to give it a perfect 10!
Ms. Annette was a highlight of our week. Every meal was a gourmet experience... fresh lobster and fish, jerk chicken, and fruits and vegetables that we had never tasted! She said we would cry when we left, and she was right. She was so much more than a cook and housekeeper. She became our friend.
Andrew did our airport transfers and at our request also took us on a special trip up into the hills so that we could see the "real Jamaica." That was one of the highlights of our trip. He was a great tour guide, explaining all the local customs and educating us on the local vegetation and fruit trees. We even got to meet real Rastafarians.
Karen stayed in touch before our trip and also while we were in Jamaica. She was great! Ms. Annette was a perfect hostess, and Andrew a perfect driver. We plan to return to Duncan's Bay, but only if we can stay at ONE RHYTHM!!!

Ms. Karen, we really enjoyed our trip, what a lovely place you have. We was really pleased to see such a well keep Villa, and the views of the ocean as well as the beach was really nice.
Ms. Annette and Andrew where great, it was really different to have someone take such great care of us. The locals were all really nice and fun to talk too. We really loved going to Dunn falls :), everyone that comes here should do it for sure, we enjoyed going down to Leroy's and just hanging down there. They sure know how to bring in the New Years..
Ms. Annette's cooking was awesome, my husband wanted to bring her home :) , (not sure if he thinks I'm a bad cook or he just loved her;)

I wanted to finally sit down and take a minute to tell you how right you were. Your place is so beautiful.Perfect in every way.
We enjoyed our stay at One Rhythm. The kids had so much fun. The location is perfect. Of all the places I have been to, this is at the top of the list.
Miss Annette is a fabulous cook, she watches over you like a mother, very reassuring. Andrew was wonderful too.
You have a great staff.
I had the opportunity to see a few of the other villas and by all means, there is no comparison.
You have been blessed.
There isn't a thing that I did not like while there. Our weather was perfect.
My kids miss Tiffany.
I have the nicest pictures and memories.

Our family traveled to Jamaica for my husbands 50th Birthday. We have 2 teenage sons and were all needing a break! Our vacation was perfect! Busy families need time to catch up! We ate breakfast, lunch and dinner together every day! It was such a treat to have Miss Annette prepare all of our meals for us. She asked us about our eating preferences and we even went to the grocery with her! That was an experience as well! Be prepared, groceries from the market are expensive, but the fresh, juicy fruit and seafood in your own front yard is amazing! Everyday we had the most delicious fresh fruit and juices! Any seafood you could think of Miss Annette could get from the fishermen! If you visit One Rhythm, be prepared to unwind and relax! Also get to know the neighbors! They are locals, more travelers, and villa staff. Everyone is extremely friendly and welcoming. The beach is spectacular and we felt as if it was ours! Our kids pulled amazing shells and starfish right out of the sea! We snorkeled, visited Dunn's River Falls and mostly hung out at the villa enjoying the breeze off the beach in the rope swings and hammock! We believe this type of Jamaican vacation is much more rewarding than an all inclusive. We were able to experience the "real Jamaica" and it's friendly people!

Karen, our experience there can never be replaced and we thank you so much for giving us that opportunity to experience the Jamaican life!! One Rhythm is such a beautiful little villa! Me and Chris have decided when we retire, we will have us a place in Jamaica!!! And our villa will be similar to yours!! Even down to the plants, flowers, and trees, it is a beautiful home!!! There is so many wonderful things about Jamaica!! And having Andrew and Miss Annette with us made the experience even better!!! And they really taught us alot about Jamaica! If we had a question, they had an answer or would find an answer for us!! Just don't ask Miss Annette what goat taste like, because she says goat!!! Haha!! She will know what I'm talking about!!! We miss being there so much and I promise you, we will be back :) And Karen it was wonderful to meet you as well! You are such a wonderful woman! And without you, we would have never had the wonderful experience of Jamaica, and never met Andrew or Annette!!! We really thank you, and Andrew and Annette for everything y'all did for us!!!

A wonderful Experience

This was a wonderful stay. The villa was clean and well kept and Ms. Jasmine was awesome. The local fishermen will come around a sell you fresh fish. Absolutely as beautiful as the pictures show. Karen was a pleasure to work with and very much a place to stay in again in the future. Awesome!

The Fantastic One Rhythm Villa By The Sea

We had such a wonderful time in this villa while vacationing in Jamaica. Believe her when Karen/Owner tells you "That Once You Are In Her Staff's Care ... You Will Be Totally Taken Care Of". Her staff's care will begin when Andrew picks you up at the airport. He will guide and care for you and escort you anywhere that you want to go. I already miss the laughs and great fun that I had with him. The villa is beautiful inside and out and to say that it totally expresses the love for Jamaica and the wonderful people would still be an understatement. While at the villa, Jasmine will pamper you with her cooking and what ever else that might be needed or desired. She adds her special touch of Jamaican Flair to her cooking and it is superb. You will meet Trevor in the evening and is wonderful to talk to and finish off the day. In the way that they all took care of us, they are like Family now. The villa is surrounded by beautiful landscaping that you can easily notice something else that you had not seen on your last walk around the yard. The beautiful ocean is just steps away and it is by far the best that we have ever been in. You can walk right out into the water and stay as long as you like because it will never beat on you like on many beaches. The water is so clear that it will amaze you. Snorkeling can be easily arranged out on the reef and we wished that we would have done it more. Crafts and Wood Carvers with their work can be purchased just around the corner of the Fishermans Landing. You can also purchase freshly caught fish here or step on into Leroy's Bar for a cold Red Stripe Beer. Karen definitely has a piece of Paradise here and we look forward to returning to her home in Jamaica.
