The apartment is located in the hip Saint Jean district about a 15 minute walk to the Old City. This is a great area to explore outside of the Old City and is where all of the best restaurants are located. Easy walk to all of the places we wanted to see in QC. Since we didn't need our car until we explored outside of the city, the parking space was a real plus. We enjoyed staying in this place.
The place is spacious and the natural light is good, particularly sitting in the window seat area during the day. Some of the lights and lighting circuits did not work. We contacted the manager who tried to fix the problems, but was unsuccessful.
The bedroom is compact and does not have a full height privacy wall adjacent to the common area. Since it is an internal room, I suspect the designer decided to allow light into the room by leaving a two foot gap between the ceiling and the top of the privacy wall. This worked out fine for us because we were only a couple. However, since the room is not enclosed, the refrigerator in the adjacent kitchen area can impact a light sleeper. Even though the room is compact, it would have been nice to have a 1'x1' cube on either side of the bed for nightstands.
The second bedroom is not a room, but rather an open platform area with a half height wall separating it from the common area.
The kitchen is not equipped for cooking. Seemed equipped by a bachelor -- plenty of wine glasses, a mishmash of plates and utensils, and nothing reasonable to cook with.
The living room area could use a coffee table or a couple of end tables; there was no place other than the floor to sit a coffee cup or glass while watching TV.
The adjacent tenant is a night club of sorts which stays energetic very late during the weekend. Since the bedrooms are open to the common area, a light sleeper could be impacted by the techno-thump.
