About The Owner

I've lived in San Francisco over 25 years and currently work as a Realtor. I love my work as it allows me to explore the historical nature of our City and meet a diverse range of clientele. I chose to join the VRBO network as a way of sharing a piece of my home with visitors who come to San Francisco, who also want to experience one of the most beatiful cities in the world with a touch of local flair.

In addition to renting the unit, we are always available to answer any questions and share our local expertise on good eats, fun nightlife and local hot spots.

Cheers,

Alan

The Owner purchased this condo in 1999
Why The Owner chose San Francisco

Prior to living in Dolores Park, I lived in the Marina, Pacific Heights and South of Market. Dolores Park is by far my favorite neighborhood. Not only is it sunny and warm most of the time, there is a ton of 'local color.' There is no shortage of gourmet restuarants and markets, cafes, hip boutiques and you are only a short distance from downtown via muni. Highways 101 and 280 are also easily accessible.

What makes this condo unique

The condo is located in one of the most desirable areas of Dolores Heights...you could not be in a better location! You are walking distance to Dolores Park, the Castro, Noe Valley's 24th Street and the hip Valencia Street Cooridor. The SF Muni is one block away and you will be downtown in less than 15 minutes.

I hesitate to write this review because I selfishly would like this flat to always be available just for me!
I feel like I'm sharing a juicy secret.

My family and I stayed at this amazing flat for three weeks this summer, and it could not have been more perfect. It was just the right mix of San Francisco chic and comfort. Everything is new and clean and has the feel of being recently renovated. Gorgeous views, best location in the city (you'll feel like a local), relatively easy parking, and unbelievably comfortable, fluffy beds. My kids commented on how white and soft the towels were ("Mommy, how come our towels aren't nice like this?"). The kitchen is well stocked for foodies, we cooked there almost every night. The huge new playground at the bottom of the hill was a highlight for the kids. If you are planning a family trip to San Francisco, forget the hotel and stay here. You won't regret it.

The only caveat I'd throw in here, and it's not a bad one, is that the flat requires you to climb up two flights of stairs, and potentially a decent sized hill depending on where you park. But the view from both the front bedroom and the living room make every climb worth it.

It was nice to come home in a clean and relaxing apartment after a day sightseeing and walking in San Francisco. The view from the living is outstanding!

The provision of information and contact with the owner were very good and pleasent.

We will definitely recommend this apartment if we know people who will visit San Francisco!

Highest Quality

We stayed at this property late July - early August and found it to be comparable to the highest quality accommodations. I have stayed in many of Americas finest hotels, and found the comforts of this unit to exceed many of those hotels. We also found it to be very quit, even though it is centrally located in the city, and provides views of Dolores Park and the city beyond. If you have an appreciation for quality bedding, new furnishings, and high quality appliances, then you need to book this place as fast as you can.

This was our first visit to San Francisco and everything was just perfect. Light, bright, spacious and modern once could not ask for more. Brilliantly located, we even used the public transport system on arrival from the airport with only one easy change and got off one block from the apartment - can one ask for more. The whole foods market within wallking distance was a huge spoil as was discovering how easy it was to explore San Francisco at our "home away from home." Alan was an absolute pleasure to deal with, and went above board to make a tired traveller feel at home - providing a welcome bottle of wine and soft drinks. It was great to have breakfast at home everyday, and the kitchen is well appointed and even had basic spices and condiments. I would highly recommend this apartment and would not hesitate in visiting again. Thanks for a great holiday,

The apartment is just as good as the photos. Wonderful place to stay. Alan was an amazing host who answer all our queries promptly. The area around the property is great for going out at night, lots of restaurants and bars. Public transport is also handily situated across the street which can take you downtown. I would not hesitate to recommend the apartment to anyone. Hopefully we will be back.

We've stayed at a lot of VRBOs, and this was easily the best of them. The unit is bright and beautiful, with high-end finishes throughout, and a lovely deck in the back. The location is unbeatable, in the center of the city, within walking distance to a dozen very good restaurants, and near public transportation. Having Dolores park practically on your doorstep is wonderful. We had a car and used street-parking with the permit Alan got for us (small fee to the city) and never had to park more than a block away, and usually found a spot right in front of the building.

Very highly recommended.
