WEST BAY STREAM COTTAGE -Very private, newly-built chalet located on 100 acres along the West Bay Stream. This chalet sleeps 6+ and has a many amenities such as high speed internet and satellite TV. Wonderfully diverse setting with classic Maine seashore within minutes. Land has access directly to the new 2010 Downeast Sunrise Trail System to Canada . Acadia National Park - 40 min., Schoodic Peninsula and Nat'l Park - 10 min., Jone's Pond with public beach and boat launch - 5 min., Ferry to Bar Harbor - 10 min., Airport - 40 min., Health Clinic - 5 min., Ellsworth - 25 min. and fishing along West Bay Stream and pond - along the property.

Experience the real Downeast Maine centrally located, from Bangor, to Bar Harbor, Ellsworth, and Canada. Gouldsboro is situated beyond the hustle and bustle of the heavy tourist attractions around Bar Harbor, yet easily accessible. Day trips from Bar Harbor, Castine, and Canada are all comfortable to manage.

More pictures coming soon of the finished off family and weight room totaling more than 700 square feet. This multi-room arrangement will be complete with wet bar, weight room equipment, and entertainment equipment. Estimated time of completion is early summer 2013. This build-out will not effect the rental as the house will still be availble as described and shown.

This chalet in Gouldsboro, Maine is indeed in a private setting and minutes (perhaps 20-30 minutes) away from Acadia park. We had 5 in our party, though I believe 6 people could have fit comfortably. The house seemed new but clean. The basement is a work a progress and still needs finishing touches. But the rest of the house (3 bedrooms, 1.5 bathrooms with indoor Jacuzzi) was clean and relaxing. The house had Internet access and direct television. The real estate agent was approachable with most of the house procedures. The main living room space was a tad stuffy with no central air system, but this was not a big issue because we stayed in the house during late August. Overall, I would return here for another trip in Maine.
