The House was Great we all had A blast.... Everything was very well kept and the washer and dryer was nice to have. the lake water was very low due to the dry summer so we could not use the boat lift i was afraid I would scratch my boat but that has nothing to do with the home...which was awesome.
If I had to change anything it would be to get TV's in ALL bedrooms with the cable hooked up Not just A dvd player. but the tv in the living room was great. and the extensive list of near by places to eat and have fun was great also..So please take your vacation here you wont be disappointed.. bring your fishing poles and relax by the fire when the sun goes down.

This cottage is a comfortable house and I LOVE the Interior Decorating. It is very spacious and hopefully someday I can get my whole family together for a vacation at your Cottage.

You have a lot of information available in the house for people new to the area and as to what is expected of renters. Very well organized!!

We had a great time on our vacation!! The weather was perfect! It has been years since we have been to the lake and we appreciate you sharing your house with us! The house had plenty of room for my family and friends, the kids loved fishing and boating. The only thing I would have changed was the beach (the reason for the "good" review). Of course there is not much we could do with it being so low this year without the much needed rain, but we made the best of it!! Thanks again!!

. I am so gracious for you allowing us to enjoy your wonderful home. I had several guests that stopped over from Barton lake and Clear lake who admired the chaarm of your home. Sitting outside at night chatting while feeling the breeze off the water truly was something I will remember the rest of my life. Nothing made me happier though than my son telling me what a great vacation it was. We fished off the end of the dock and were amazed at how the fish all came up in the morning...well really anytime...and we were able to reel them in one by one. Your home truly has more charm that pictures cannot even capture. I am glad to make this an annula vacation destination. The location offers many dining and recreation activities for all ages.

Our Family came for a week of fun at the Lake! The property was immaculate and very nicely decorated. We celebrated our daughters birthday with family out on the deck overlooking the lake. The owners were very nice to work with. We had a great time! We would recommend this property to anyone looking for a step away from the everyday routine.

My daughter and I stayed here for a week while she was recovering from surgery. It was clean, comfortable and had all the amenities. I look forward to staying again and again!

We enjoyed our weeklong stay at the house on Crooked Lake. The upstairs of the house is nice with updated features. The outdoor patio was nice and had a good view of the lake. The only negative was the kitchen being downstairs with the stairs being steep to get to it. We loved the paddle boat! The owner was excellent to work with.

I had to give "overall experience" less than 5 due to weather but I could not bring myself to go lower because the property and owners were very nice. We rented the last week of April, 2012; It was 20mph winds and 50's degree temperature most of the week. (This was unseasonably cold.) Bad luck. We planned a fishing trip for 4 but only 1 of us really fished due to weather--and that was limited to the dock. (High winds limited boat travel to downwind only unless you were a world-class athlete--which we were not). I caught one 15.5" Largemout Bass at dusk and several Bullhead Catfish at night. The neighbors who were just as nice as the owner said that you can catch Walleye in better weather.

The kitchen is a level below the main living area. This is bad if you are one to make lots of snack trips to the refrigerator (although there is also a small clean refrigerator next to the washer and dryer on the main level). However if you like the kitchen separated from the living area for cooking orders, I suppose it is good--my wife liked it. Under normal circumstances in decent weather you will probably spend a lot of time on the nice patio just outside the kitchen door.

The rules for cleanup seem strict but this is a good thing. Of course it protects the owner from inconsiderate wild-partying renters. But it is also good because it insures that the rest of us can enjoy a clean home away from home. And the property IS very clean and nicely decorated. I especially liked the nice modern shower on the main level.

We did get out in the lake on our 5th day when the wind let up. We passed Mallard Ducks, Canadian Geese, a Swan on it's nest and two other Swans near the intersection with the middle lake. On our 6th day which had a high temperature of 43 F we saw a couple water skiers from the living room picture window. They went by so fast I could not see if they had on wet suits--how could they not. But they appeared skilled enough I bet they figured a way to get up on skis without getting wet.

Next time we go back--with better weather--I am sure I will rate the "overall experience" as "Excellent". Truth be told since I went on this vacation for the beautiful lake, the spacious patio, and outdoor enjoyment perhaps the weather made the vacation a "Fair" at best. BUT, that would not be fair to such wonderful renters and their beautiful property. I hope I gave some information that helps.

Would I recommend this property to my best friend? Definitely YES!
