This was our first vacation ever with our 14-month-old son, and we had such a wonderful time! The owner, who is incredibly nice and easy to talk to, went above and beyond in accommodating us, even going so far as pushing the twin beds together and adding a comfortable foam "bridge" in the middle (grandma and grandpa were with us too, so they had the other room). This place was actually perfect for a young child - plenty of children's books, toys, games, beach items, and even kid friendly dvds were included, not to mention a booster seat and safety covers for the wall outlets. Overall, the condo was clean and tidy, and pretty much everything we needed was available to us - we felt right at home. We would definitely recommend this condo, especially to parents with younger children, as the owner understands what it's like to travel with a precious little one and will do everything to make your stay a great one.

This condo has it all!! From the pack n play and booster seat for kids, to the beach chairs, cart, umbrella and beach toys, we had everything we could possibly need for a week on Sanibel. The two bikes were a great bonus. If you are traveling with children, there are lots of toys, games, and movies, too!
My family has visited Sanibel for many years (grandparents started coming here in the 1950s!), and Loggerhead is our favorite. The pool is the best on the island, and the grounds are maintained beautifully. This unit has been tastefully updated with new doors, trim, tile, carpet, and even crown molding.
The owner called to check on us during the week and see if there was anything we needed. She even had the housekeeper set up the second bedroom with a queen instead of twin beds so it was ready when we arrived. Everything was clean and comfortable.
We had a wonderful stay and highly recommend this unit!

An excellent choice for a Sanibel Vacation! The condo is immaculate and well furnished and equipped. We were extremely comfortable here - like being in our own condo. The buildings and grounds are well-maintained and this condo is ideally located with views of the beach from the balcony and morning sunrises from the kitchen. The owners take the time ensure that your stay is going well. We would not consider staying anywhere else on a return to Sanibel.

This condo was very nice. It was very clean. The beds were very comfortable. Nice towels and linens. It had all the kitchen supplies we needed to cook. Loaded with beach amenities such as umbrella, toys, nets, flash light. The owner was very easy to work with and supplied us with all the information that we needed for our stay. I would highly recommend this condo for any family or couple looking to rent in Sanibel.

We rented two units at Loggerhead Bay for a family reunion, and this one was both less expensive AND considerably nicer. On the subject of cost, this unit also comes with two adult bikes, which effectively saved us over $70 during our stay (although we rented 5 other bikes at Billy's---very satifisfied with quality).

These owners pay attention to details. Here are some examples: plantation shutters instead of blinds or curtains, Tervis cups instead of less expensive ones, stocking several rolls of toilet paper/paper towels/dishwashing and laundry detergent instead of supplying one and making you buy after consumption, beautiful furniture, sparkling white woodwork in bathrooms, kitchen, on 6-panel doors and baseboards, etc., nice carpet in living room and BRs (other unit had tile throughout---not as nice for big group get togethers). And I was blown away by the little details---lotion with Aloe in both bathrooms (anticipating my sunburn?), sample sized shampoos and conditioners, supply of coffee filters and sandwich bags in the fully stocked kitchen, microwave popcorn and vegetable oil (didn't use, but still amazed it was all there).

The contractual details for renting were well executed at the start and end of the rental time, and the owner called twice, and emailed once, during our stay to make sure we had everything we needed. But we didn't need a thing---again, perfection. She even offered, unsolicited, an hour's extension on check out because her housekeepers weren't arriving until after that anyway. So just very, very kind and accommodating.

About Loggerhead Cay. The location is beautiful, it is located right off of one of the 20 miles of smooth and flat bike paths, and the beaches are pristine. This unit is literally 20 feet to the boardwalk that takes you to the beach (albeit on 4th floor). The elevator worked fine, but we usually walked the 4 flights without difficulty (view from 4th makes walk worth it)! The unit is very close to the elevator, and there is assigned parking. The complex is very well maintained; they were doing cyclical parking lot brickwork when we were there. The pool is unbelievably beautiful, big, well-heated and very clean--perfect for our family of lap swimmers. This unit overlooks the pool, although it is far enough away in center of greenspace that you can't hear the pool chatter.

Not unit related, but our two best meals on the island (both pricey) were (hands down) at Sweet Melissa's Cafe and Il Tesora.

Even though it has been several months since we had our trip to Sanibel, the delight of this place is still fresh on my mind! My husband and I and our three teenage sons came to Sanibel to celebrate the high school graduation of the two oldest boys and also to commemorate my husband and my twenty year wedding anniversary. We had a wonderful time! The condo was amazing. It was beautifully clean and well-furnished. The owner was great in communicating with us with any questions we had. It was so easy for us to fill up the beach cart that the owners keep there--go down the elevator--walk out into the lovely courtyard and down the pathway to the Gulf, and spend time enjoying the beach, waves, and shells. The pool was great, too! Our guys loved this place. It was a wonderful, relaxing vacation--no multi-tasking!!! Our big question each day was: where will we go out to eat? And there were some fun places for that! The weather was perfect almost all week--there was one day that was partially rainy, so that gave us a good excuse to try out the cute movie theatre that is on the island. We'd love to come back to this condo some day!

Don't even consider staying anywhere else! This condo has it all. It is beautiful, comfortable and has many extras you won't find anyplace else. The owners have gone above and beyond to ensure their guests needs are more than met .Peggy was very helpful with tips on island restaurants as well as the many things to see and do. We loved having all the beach supplies and use of their bikes to ride on the many island bike trails.The pool was very nice and not crowded during our stay. We walked to the tiki bars at Holiday & Sanibel Inn by way of the beach. found great shells, toured the island in a scoot coupe rental, took the Sanibel Thriller cruise seeing many dolphins. We have stayed many places including other condos at Loggerhead but 544 is by far the best!! We can't wait to return and neither will you! 5 stars:)
