Enjoyed our stay very much. Condo was outstanding. Resident manager was very accomodating. Weather excellent. Enjoyed the turtles and other life on the ocean shore. Beautiful landscaping and amazing blooming plants around condo. Short drive to Lahaina were we did the submarine, the semisubmarine, and the whale watch. Saw lots of humpback whales even though the season for whale watching was almost completed. Saw and photographed sunrise in the 10,000 foot high crater; did the road to Hanna; very beautiful. Enjoyed shopping in Lahaina and swimming and tanning at Kaanapali Beach.

Stayed at this cute condo for over a week and had a wonderful time. The condo was in really nice condition and clean to a tee. All the items that others had described as issues have all been corrected - sliding doors lock, dishwasher works great, etc. The condo is exactly as the pictures show.

The grounds of the condo village are manicured so that you feel like you are in a tropical garden and the swimming pool was crystal clear. The condo has a really great private lanai where we ate our dinners and enjoyed the surroundings at night while relaxing in the rocking chairs. The bed was comfortable and we enjoyed the hot showers and warm tropical breezes, no need for any artificial air conditioner.

Thanks for the use of all the beach equipment, that was a nice addition to have available to us.

The turtles swimming in the surf off the sundeck were just incredible. Just like clockwork, every day at 2PM they showed up to eat and swim in the warm waters and stayed well beyond the sunsets which of course were absolutely stunning.

We have stayed at a hotel near this same location several times before. This unit is nicer, has a separate bedroom and full kitchen - all at a price of half what a hotel room is. A great value at a really wonderful condo. Thank you so much for letting us stay at your little piece of paradise.

Location was great, lovely lanai, great pool, grounds very lush and tropical, great viewing platform to watch distant whales and up close sea turtles.
Very close to bus stops which we used almost daily. We purchased a senior monthly pass for $25 each.
Condo itself is very dated. It is in need of a few things to help improve your stay. The following items would greatly enhance the condo: covered casserole dish, new frying pans, new pillows with pillow protectors, additional cutlery, set of bowls with lids and a new large cutting board. (the old one is worn out)
Dishwasher handle is broken and dishwasher will not close completely to do dishes. Patio door does not lock (you have to use a long stick to keep is secure) and has a gap of several inches when the inside door is open.
It is within walking distance to a large grocery store. The Farmer's Market is very close to the condo.
No great restaurants within walking distance but taking the bus you can reach many. Our favorites were the Sea House in Nipili and Basil Tomatoe near Kaanapali resorts. Do not recommend the new restaurant in Lahaina called Fleetwoods, setting is beautiful but food not great and some servers not very friendly. Also Lahaina Pizza Co. is very good.
Would highly recommend the Feast at Lele and the Old Lahaina Luau.

We loved our stay at your condo. The snorkel equipment was not used by us as it was really dirty. The last people to use it must have left it laying on the beach and put it away without cleaning. Also, the cds for the road to Hana were missing except for one older one that was not synchronized to the trip. Some of your renters are not too respectful of your things. Its so good of you to provide it all for us. We would return to beautiful Maui in a heartbeat. Thanks so much for making your condo available to us. I have recommended it to many of my friends.

What a wonderful time! There was some confusion when first arriving, we expected there would be a front desk for check in but there is not. A couple of quick phone calls solved that issue and we were off and running. The view from the unit was gorgeous, like being in a tropical greenhouse right down to bananas on the banana tree next to the lanai. We prefered the ground floor opening onto the grounds, it felt a lot more spacious than an upper floor with a small deck.
Hale Ono Koa is only minutes from downtown Lahaina, where there is a selection of great restaurants, fun shops and fascinating high end art galeries. If I may pass on a restaurant suggestion that was made to us by a local; if you are interested in going to a luau but don't want tp pay $100 a plate for wait staff in Polynesian dress or a fixed menu go to Betty's By the Sea and reserve a front row deck table. There is a luau right in front of it on the beach front and the view of the show is wonderful, its like having 1st row balcony seats at the theater. We went 2 nights, saw the 1st half of the show one night, the second half the next and the food at Betty's is good with a reasonable price. And P.S. you get a beautiful ocean sunset view too.
There is so much to do on Maui, my wife and I didn't actualy have time for a beach day until the last day we were there. My other suggestions are: Whale Watching on Maui Ocean Rafting (be prepared to get wet); Deep Sea fishing, Die Hard Sportfishing Charters (it gets rough wear a Transderm Patch or take Dramamine, we caught Yellowtail, Bigeye and Skipjack tuna); watch sunrise at the top of Mt. Haleakala a 2 - 2 1/2 hour drive to get there but worth it (dress warmly 30's degrees and windy at the summit) and take the road to Hanna an all day trip not for the driving faint of heart.
2 final notes: There is no wifi at the condo, we found a Starbucks in Lahaina with free access and a lot of the return flights to the mainland are redeye's, ours was at 11PM so be prepared for the gap between checkout from the condo and your flight time.
Again, I highly reccomend this unit, I will try to stay there again on our next trip to Maui (not an if but a when). I have already reccomended it to a friend who will going on a trip to the tropics when her husband, a Marine, returns from deployment

We stayed at the condo earlier this month and loved every minute of it. We especially liked meeting the Hale Ono Loa residents and watching the turtles in the reef in the morning right off the condo's lanai. I thought we were so lucky to see them the first day, then the next and the next....it was incredible, where else can you do that? We were within walking distance of the Cannery Mall and enjoyed the Road2Hana resources the owner left in the unit for us, that made all the difference as this was our first trip to the area. It was a great relaxing holiday, and the unit is beautiful, clean & very comfortable. We will be back again for sure.

My husband and I stayed at your condo over Christmas. It was the perfect place for two people to enjoy a quiet little holiday. The property was gorgeous, the unit was very nice and clean, and the weather was amazing. Hopefully we can come back next year!

Hale Ono Loa is a great place to relax and just enjoy. The lanai just below and to the right of the deck is perfect to while away the hours, with lovely views to Lanai and Molokai as well as turtle watching par excellence. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained; we loved the banana trees just off our lanai, where we had breakfast each morning.The dishwasher was broken and unfortunately there was no detergent to wash dishes by hand. There was no parking pass in the unit upon our arrival but when we contacted the resident manager he promised there would be no problem and there wasn't. The bed was extremely uncomfortable for us and the elastic in the sheets was "dead" so we fought the sheets every night. That being said, we had a wonderful stay and would probably book the unit again should we return to Maui. The price is right, the location is awesome and the owners are very pleasant to work with.
