This house truly comes as advertised! The house was immaculate and the scenery in the area is amazing. We only stayed 2 nights which was nowhere near long enough. Were already planning this house again in the summer. Also Debbie was very polite and easy to work with.

I cannot say enough about this beautiful house. We travelled down to SC to escape Hurricane Sandy and to watch our son graduate from the Marines and this house was exactly what we needed after a long day on base. The owner, Debbie, is one of the sweetest people I have ever met. After only speaking with her a couple of time, I felt as if I have known her my whole life.

We spent two weeks here this past summer and it was a pleasure in every respect!
The home is immaculate and has every amenity and convenience necessary. The kitchen is outfitted with high end appliances and accessories and there is nothing you will need to bring with you. The bedrooms are beautifully decorated and the beds and linens are first rate. The screened porches are a great spot for morning coffee. The air conditioning is very effective and was a welcome relief some days.

But the real highlight of the property is found at the end of the pier, and it is where we spent almost all of our time. The covered sitting areas by the above the dock enjoy a constant breeze, which is complemented by a ceiling fan as well. We brought out boat and had a wonderful time exploring the river and all of the creeks and islands between the house and the ocean on the protected waterways. Others have commented on the dolphins, and before we came I was hopeful, but skeptical, of seeing some. Without a word of exaggeration, we saw groups of dolphins many, many times every single day, often as close as ten feet from the dock. Even at night when they could not be seen, you could hear them breathing close by. When boating, they often came up to the boat, heads out, hoping for a fish handout. The kids were thrilled every time.
Others have mentioned shrimp and crab fishing. We caught as many blue crabs as we cared to right from the dock and caught enough shrimp for several meals once we got the hang of the cast net, again, right from the dock (give it a try for sure!). There are sharks (of all sizes...) in the river and we caught several while fishing from the dock, as well as sea trout and red drum, but the fishing is better down river near the creeks, I am told. At night you can watch four foot gar and other fish chasing the baitfish near the dock and during low tide you can see stingrays cruising the edge of the waterline.
Hunting Island is a beautiful place with an excellent beach for exploring. There are small fossilized shark teeth to find on the beach and the place is very well maintained and serviced. Some people might be put off by the "Sound of Freedom" coming from the very frequent passovers by military jets from the Marine Base located nearby, but we found it very interesting and exciting.

This property is exceptional in every way and the owners really strive to make sure that your every need is met.

Similar to the previous reviews, Where do I start? It was gorgeous. Upon arrival we entered the home and it was beautiful and clean! The sheets were all freshly washed and the home is so well maintained it looks new! I think Debbie is being humble in her description. The kitchen is a chefs dream (as I am not but love to cook) the high end appliances are great! It was nice to cook dinners some days and of course go out to eat in Beaufort!

For us it was perfect! We had our wedding in Beaufort and were able to relax and hideaway after. It is still very close to Beaufort and Parris Island but with the dirt road and being tucked away it makes you feel like you are in your own paradise!

The dock is wonderful! My husband and I enjoyed fishing and watching the dolphins swim by nightly! It was very tranquil and relaxing. There are little fiddler crabs on both sides of the dock which are fun to look at as you walk down. For kids it would be a wonderful experience. You can even catch a few in the backyard! This house is great for everyone! Families on vacation, romantic getaway, or a friendcation hanging out and catching up!

I love Beaufort and enjoy the downtown historic district very much! the restaurants all along bay street are wonderful. I am bias and love Plums (that was where our reception was) :) The food is delicious! There are plenty others around also, a new favorite is Maryland’s fried chicken! It was great!

A bonus to this location in low country is that there are plenty of things to do in the area. Bluffton is about 40 minutes away and they have restaurants (a brand new Plums) and Tanger outlets. Hilton Head Island is also not far. Great for beach and gold and plenty of restaurants as well. If you enjoy the beach Hunting Island is close and many scenes were filmed there from Forrest Gump! Of course Savanna, GA is in driving distance and beautiful!

My final review...House wonderful, the owner Debbie wonderful! She’s very informative and fast with responses and questions. She cares very much about this house and it shows not just in the house but in how she conducts business. I can't say enough how much I loved my stay...I wish I was back there now! I hope this was helpful and enjoy!

All I can say is "WOW!" We had a wonderful family getaway! Having one daughter in college and the other fast approaching it was nice to be able to stay at this beautiful home on the water and do the things that we love to do as a family away from home, work and phones ringing! We are from Savannah, own our own business and rarely are able to get away for much longer than a long weekend, so we didnt want to waste half of our time traveling, so I assigned my oldest daughter the task of taking into consideration all of our likes and she came up with Your Beautiful home! It was PERFECT!
Debbie you were great to work with and we thoroughly enjoyed every minute of our stay in your beautiful home! I think our favorite places were the downsatirs room, the backyard and of course the dock! We took our boat and were able to go out on it Saturday, we crabbed and fished off the dock as well! (Unfortunalty Tropical Storm Beryl decided to come in that weekend) But even though there was a storm it didnt dampen our spirits as the kids found a board game in the house and we had alot of fun playing that and then ventured into downtown Beaurfort, Fripp and Hunting Island! We met the people who were also renting the house next door and will probably be life long friends now! they were from San Francisco and said they fell in love with the area as well!
We plan to book another stay within the next year! Dont miss out on this property if you are looking for a Great family getaway! It has everything you could need and then some! :)

This was the best experience ever. Man, where do you start. House and location were all we ever wanted and more than we expected, Ernie, the neighbor and family were the awesome, Debbie was great to work with, we could go on and on. Everyday was awesome. It was so quiet and beautiful and was much more than we thought it would be. We hated to leave and can't wait till next year. Debbie told us to try out Low Country market while we were there. Just like everything else she suggested, it was the bomb!!! We went just about everyday and ended the trip with a steak dinner the last night. We watched the Dolphins every afternoon, so relaxing and just what we needed. The location is perfect. It is private yet is just minutes from anything you want to do. We took one day and slipped down to Savannah. Another great experience. Everything about this place is second to none. Debbie and Drew, thank you both for a trip to remember and we will look so forward to next time. We could not have asked for anything better. Please tell Ernie we will see him next time and we appreciate his kindness. Thank you.

This is a great house! Its well equipped, well decorated, and comfortable. Beds are comfy, bathrooms are nice and kitchen is great. We enjoyed catching crabs off the dock, watching the dolphins and birds and just relaxing! We brought our boat, and enjoyed going out fishing. Kids and adults enjoyed ourselves. Try out the drive-in theater nearby too

My family stayed in this gracious home while visiting the Beaufort area for a wedding. What a beautiful, comfortable, and memorable home and property on the peaceful Whale Branch River. Our stay could not have been better. The house is perfectly situated, private, and meticulously decorated and maintained.

Our only regret is that we could not stay longer!
