We had the fortunate privilege of enjoying a marvelous stay in this lovely home for twelve days in June. The days were long and luxurious as the sun did not go down until about ten thirty at night.
Claire was a perfect hostess and helped us with a critical phone call to line-up a private car to Giverny...We had booked it on line with pick up at the apartment... the email the next day said that it was not possible. She just dropped by to inquire about our departure and was able to place a "french" call to assure us that we would be picked up that afternoon.
Ali (our six year old) said that she had a "new friend" in France. We absolutely loved the whole experience and felt as if we were indeed part of the populace for that short period of time.... we enjoyed the trains, boats, buses and taxis, food and wine....all very convenient and delicious!! Claire is a wonderful, effusively welcoming host. The apartment is spacious, full of light and perfect for our troupe of two couples, two singles...a grandmere and an uncle and two daughters (one husband/animal-hunting and one Nutella-hunting). The long table in the main parlour was the center for much eating and drinking. Conviently, the market at Place Monge is three blocks away and the fantastic cheese shop at the bottom of Moufftard a couple more. The modern oven and stove top performed well in support of the feasts. The street has apartments on one side only, which leaves you with a view of tall trees, a Mansard-roofed museum office, statuary and blue sky (in our case). A wonderfully comfortable experience. Thanks from all of us.

The apartment was perfect for 7 women for 5 nights. The beds were comfortable, even for the 2 who slept two-to-a-bed and for those on fold-out couches. The rooms were spacious and there was plenty of space to be together or to go off and read or take a nap. The neighborhood, though lively and great fun for eating, shopping, and visiting, was surprisingly quiet at night. The Jardin des Plantes right across the street is a source of birdsong, lush plantings, running and walking paths, and serenity in the heart of Paris - not to be missed! From the apartment it is a short walk to many sights including Notre Dame, the quays along the Seine, the markets and shops on rue Mouffetard, and the bustling evening scene at the Contrescarpe.
We could have used a little more space for our clothes, but the lovely and helpful owner of the apartment plans to add hanging and storage space as well as another shower very soon. The owner and her family live in this apartment and vacate during rentals, leaving a spotless, well-equipped kitchen and a beautifully furnished home. We loved living there and hope to return.

Perfect for a two-family stay

We had a fantastic experience staying at this 4-bedroom apartment. The place was perfect for two families with young children - beautifully laid out, comfortable, and clearly well-maintained. It included many unexpected extras, including comics and toys for the children and kitchen amenities. Coordination was easy and simple with Nicolas. I would also highly rate the apartment for its location - it was in the middle of great restaurants, parks, transportation links and shops (I would especially recommend the crepe stand across from the Metro on the corner and the Arenes de Lutece park/playground).
All in all, a terrific place for a stay in Paris.

Fantastic Parisian Apartment For Large Group

Being able to find an apartment in Paris that would comfortably accommodate eight, including four kids was a difficult thing to find. When we came across this apartment it was almost too good to be true. We ended up absolutely loving our stay and found this apartment charming, filled with amenities, and great for a large group. We were warned of potential issues with running out of hot water but never had an issues because we rotated shower times during the day/evening. The owner was so nice and made sure to tour us through her beautiful space and teach us how to use everything in the apartment. The Metro is so close...a five minute walk which turned out to also be one of my favorite things about renting here. The restaurants close by were excellent...don't miss the cous cous restaurant across the street and the italian was great. If we were to travel to Paris again with a large group we would certainly stay here.

Nice apartment

We rented this apartment for Christmas and new year 2011/2012 on the internet. And we had a fantastic experience.
Throughout the negociation did very well attended and was very easy.
From the first contact until the end of our stay, Nicolas and Claire were very kind and concerned about our comfort and well being.
We were very well received in Paris, the apartment is great and meets all requirements as making us feel at home.
We had wonderful days in Paris and the apartment Cuvier 18, part of this.
The only thing to point out that as we were in many people, so sometimes the hot water ran out, making the cold bath, but it was a small detail, through the great experience.
I recommend this apartment for the place, location and service.
Thanks for everything Claire and Nicolas, mainly due care and attention on our trip, I hope to see you again soon.
