Wonderful house, great views, helpful owners
My family of five and my in-laws absolutely loved staying at Moonstruck lodge. The house is beautiful, and so well maintained and clean. The pictures give you an idea of the house but in person it is so much better. Lots of room to spread out when needed and come back together for family movie night on the big screen. Lots of cooking supplies, towels, nice linens, etc...Fantastic views with wonderful sunrise photo ops. We stayed for four nights in August 2012, and wish we could stay longer. Dollywood is less than ten minutes away, Gatlinburg is approximately 20 minutes away depending on traffic. The aquarium was very impressive and loved by my children aged 3-9. We spent one morning river tubing, and spent a few days hiking in the smokies. There was so much more for us to do, that we hope to come back soon. The owners were very responsive when booking the rental, and communicated during our stay as well, Thank you for letting us stay in your house.

Wonderful Family Vacation 2012
What a perfect place for a large family to have their vacation! The cabin looks just like the pictures, with so much space and amenities you can't help but have fun. We enjoyed every aspect of the cabin as well as the surrounding area. No one will ever get bored here; with the arcade, pool, hot tub, movies, games, fishing and 7 TV's! But my favorite thing to do was sit on the back porch in a rocker and look at the stunning mountain views. All of your worries will melt away, and isn't that exactly what a vacation is suppose to be for?

Awestruck With Moonstruck....
I have organized an extended family getaway for us every year for the last 3 years at resorts in Orlando, Florida. This year we decided to go somewhere different. We stayed in this beautiful cabin over the July 4th holiday.
Even though I had seen the pictures on the website, when I walked in the front door, all I could say was "WOW!". I was not prepared for how gorgeous this cabin really is. I was so amazed, I sent Jamie, the owner an email almost immediately to say, thanks.
One of the greatest features of this cabin is that the layout of the rooms gives everyone privacy while allowing family fun in the common areas. There were 9 of us in the group and from the 12 year old to the 64 year old, everyone commented how much they really liked this cabin and how wonderfully sound we slept here. The Theater room was first rate and well stocked with a variety of movies. We watched several movies in there and even fell asleep in there one night because we were all so comfortable.
I agree with the other reviewers the parking was steep, but hey, it is in the mountains. No one in our group had any problems going from the vehicle to the steps and one member of our party is scheduled for knee replacement surgery. Also there was enough space for us to park a Chevy Suburban, a Dodge Durango and a small trailer.
Jamie was simply awesome with communicating with me to answer any any questions or concerns from beginning to end, making sure that this was truly an excellent vacation.

Moonstruck Lodge..... a great family getaway !
We stayed in this luxurious cabin June 4 - 11, 2011... WOW! after getting home I went back and longingly looked again at the pictures in the ad....... We had 13 from 1 yr old to 65.....we loved the cabin and used everything it offered. After a rain, my 3 year old granddaughter thought the woods (looking from the back deck) were on fire because of the mist coming up from the mountain...... everyone went whitewater rafting, ziplining, river floating, antique searching,..etc.... we did a lot and then came home to a full kitchen to save money on meals for so many.... some played pool while others watched movies in the theater room. and even fished in the pond down the hill... all had privacy when they wanted it but came and went seperately when they wanted to. We felt very safe in the gated community and maintenance was excellent when needed for very minor issues. The parking is steep but part of the fun....we all laughed as we struggled to get to the porch....the ones who had to walk farther or wait for a ride from the lower lot just laughed about needing the exercise..... we went for a great time together and have no complaints...... we would absolutely recommend this cabin and these landlords....... Jamie kept in touch and answered my questions...even during a huge birthday party on her own vacation time........ the whole package is a WINNER! Thanks Jamie !

Our family stayed at Moonstruck as a family vacation after my son graduated from High School. We were there the week before Memorial Day. This time was great as traffic did not get congested until the Friday before Memorial Day. We had ages from 17 to 74 staying at this cabin and had a total of 11 in our party. We had plenty of room. The kids enjoyed having their own hang out location in the basement. They enjoyed the movie projector and the hot tub. The cabin was in good, clean condition. I had to contact the Roth's via mobile e-mail several times regarding a dish receiver not working properly. The Roth's were wonderful each time contact was made. Dish Network was a pain to deal with, but we were not there to watch TV. We had other TV's to watch - just the TV in the master was having issues. I had to contact the management company for help with a couple of issues - they were also wonderful. So, if you stay here, do not hesitate to call if you have questions or encounter a problem. They were expeditious in getting situations resolved. The only drawback ,from my point of view, was the driveway and limited parking area with the cabin. The parking was steep getting from the auto to the stairs. My parents (in their 70s) had problems getting to and from the autos. My mother-in-law (73) was able to manage just fine. For people with no health issues such as hip and knee problems, this is a great spot. I may also be concerned if there was snow at this location on how to get to and from areas of interest. The views from the deck are awesome. The kitchen was well stocked with all the pots, pans and appliances that you would need to cook on site. We cooked several times with ease. The washer and dryer got a work out from our bunch as well. I would recommend that when you come to the site to avoid the traffic in Pigeon Forge and use Veteran's Blvd. Part of our group drove and then did a hike to Clingman's Dome. It was beautiful. We encounter a momma bear and 3 cubs while on the hike. The kids enjoyed Big Daddy's Pizza, the Cherokee Grill and Bennette's BBQ. Our thanks go to the Roth's for sharing their beautiful property with us. We really enjoyed our stay in Pigeon Forge!
