From the time we moved in until the time we left , there was grief. A BBQ was in the listing , but not there , when asked from the owner , his email was alittle bit contrite. After 4 days , we finally got one . We asked for a cell phone to contact the management company because the listing said phone included. We got 8 days later and charged for minutes even thouigh the management company said there would no charge . The TV turned orange and shut down , the landlord blames that on us . The management company checked when we left , and everything was fine , yet the landlord charged us for a piece of crstyal that he says we broke . In his email he told us that he knew we were trouble . We have rented before and we have never had these problems ... NEVER AGAIN FROM HIM.
Owner's Response: Dear Guest, I apologize if you think that it was all grief, the moment that you checked in on the 18th of February 2012 you wrote me; ”looks exactly as was described”. Thanks Andreas. Like you complained about nothing in regards to the house, like location, kitchen, living room bed rooms, garden, terraces or inside parking and cleaning, we assume everything was just perfect like your wrote me when you arrived. Sorry for the grill,the old one was not good enough, because it was to old for you. We tried to please you, but you arrived on a Saturday 18th of feb.2012 and next Monday you had a brand new grill, sometimes it is difficult to find nice things in Playa del Carmen over the weekend.The moment you reported the TV broke it was replaced as there was one not in use in the property either if you connected or the property management did it, but you had an spare TV on the property for immediate use, and you were not charged for that, I told you broken TV had to be sent to the provider to try to find out what happen to the TV. I wrote you in my email; if the provider tells as the damage were provoked by the user, the guarantee doesn’t apply. It was not our intention to blame you, before we know what happen with the TV, but it is how it works with the providers. Sorry if you misunderstood that. We had to fight with the provider to get it repaired on guarantee, for a reason! So you had not to pay one penny. Question is; why we had to fight with the provider… In the house are 3 house phone for local calls (living room, and in each bed room.You asked for a cell phone and the property management delivered one the same day, they left it on top of the dining table, as you were not at home with a note, if you found it several days after, sorry… Just looking for another reason to blame us.You would be normally charged for 2.50 USD for the credit you used on the cell phone you requested, if that was too much for you,so we don't charge the 2.50 US.On your check out the glass/crystal cover on a sideboard was broken, sorry, but we had to charge for a replacement and we don't a future gust get hurt. You got told that from the management comapany that you have to pay for the replacement and that is the reason for this kind of review. Sorry we were not able to please you and your party but we did our best.For some people the best is not enough. We are very,very sorry for your grief.
