PRIVATE SPACES. Each room has views of Squaw Valley’s famous mountains and winter ski slopes. Our “Ponderosa King” guestroom has one king-size bed and a large 6 foot octagonal window. Look out over the living room to view Squaws rugged peaks, winter ski slopes and beautiful Ponderosa Pine trees. A SPIRAL STAIRCASE that takes you through the three levels of the guesthouse. Each charming and romantic guestroom has a 250 plus channel satellite TV system. For your convenience, we have high-speed internet access, washer/dryer, and iron/ironing board. COMMON ROOMS. Guests share use of the common living room with a 23-foot ceiling and walls of mostly glass, gourmet kitchen, scenic dining area and laundry room with detergent waiting for you. In the well equipped gourmet kitchen, enjoy our KEURIG coffee machine with a nice selection of Coffee’s and Espresso, teas, hot chocolate and alpine cider. A free shuttle travels throughout the valley about every 20 minutes.

WINTER-TIME, it is fun to watch the skiers riding up the ski lifts and swooshing down the slopes. The area also offers cross county skiing and snowshoeing, ice skating, snow tubing, a climbing wall and swimming lagoon. *** YES, we offer a GREAT SUMMER SPRING AND FALL LOCATION too! This is Tahoe… where its always a good time to visit! We are near all the fun things to do: bike riding, scenic walks and biking trails, river rafting, boating, fishing, horseback riding, a swimming lagoon & spa, a climbing wall, a ropes course, many golf courses, a scenic tram ride, beaches, and water activities. Guests often tell us that they wish that they had planned to spend more time at Poole’s Guesthouse; it is cozy and comfortable, has a great location, panoramic views and is offered at an affordable price! Like a Bed and Breakfast or Pension, we are the hosts; we have our living space on the lowest level of the guesthouse. Though we do not offer any meals, you are welcome to bring groceries in and cook any meals.
