Wonderful getaway for rest and relaxation

Me and my wife were looking for a place to just rest and relax. We both have busy schedules and we were in urgent need of re-energizing ourselves.
Strawberry Corner was just the ticket.
First, it was so great that it was only an hour and a half from our home in the inland empire, yet seemed like we were so far away in the mountains.
The cabin is great. We spent much of our time sitting on the deck reading and talking. You could hear the creek and the birds. It was so, so peaceful.
We were also able to have daily walks to the charming town of Idyllwild. It was so nice to walk to the grocery store or coffee shop. We also had a fun night at the movie theater, which also rents dvds.
It should be noted that some shops are closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, if you go up early in the week.
The cabin had everything we needed. It was spacious and welcoming. It is decorated so thoughtfully and really gave us the feeling of being away in the woods.
I would highly recommend.
The owner was great to work with.
You will not be disappointed.

Family friendly get away

The house is perfectly set up for families or a family with grand parents too. Lots of space, nice comfortable beds and a wonderful loft area that our son loved exploring. The gazebo in the garden is just lovely as is the deck to sit out on to hear the creek bubbling away.
We really enjoyed our stay and it feels very much like a home rather than just a vacation rental. All the amenities you would want, great stocked cupboard with spices etc so you can cook easily.
This would be the perfect rental if you wanted to share it with another family although it is of course lovely having all that space to yourselves too. Thank you for sharing your holiday home with us Lorraine. It was a real treat for us.

What a Thanksgiving!

After falling in love with Strawberry Corner while staying there last Summer, we immediately reserved the cabin for Thanksgiving weekend. You know how when you look forward to something special for so long that it can never meet your expectations? Well, our stay in your cabin EXCEEDED our dreams! We had so much fun! We loved your decorations - the cabin felt so Christmassy. I cooked my best turkey ever (granted, everything tastes better in the mountains but it truly was good!) and we ate and ate and ate. We shopped, drank wine at Idyll Awhile, and had a picnic at Lake Fulmore. We watched Christmas movies in front of a roaring fire in the huge stone fireplace and bundled up to sit in the gazebo at night so we could appreciate the beautiful twinkle lights.
Your fabulous cabin helped to kick off our holiday season in tremendous fashion. We are already counting the days until our next stay at Strawberry Corner!

30th Anniversary with Family

My Husband and I celebrated our 30th Wedding anniversary with our children at Strawberry Corner, and the gazebo was the perfect setting for us to renew our vows! The cabin was perfect and had everything we needed to celebrate our anniversary dinner with our children. The Cabin is decorated so beautifully and it was just so relaxing to spend time there with family. We have so many beautiful pictures of our special day! We will never forget our time at Strawberry Corner with all of the special touches in the cabin and the beautiful scenery! We have stayed a few places in Idyllwild but Strawberry Corner is definitely our favorite!!

I had a great weekend with friends for my birthday and return from deployment. We had an amazing time, it's a block away from a good pizza place, a grocery store and easily within walking distance of the local stores.

Wonderful time at Strawberry Corner Cabin

We chose this cabin as a get-away for my 60th birthday. We had a wonderful time. The cabin and the whole property were emaculate and decorated so very cute. I loved the fact the property was fenced in and our small dog was allowed to stay with us. The location of the cabin was perfect for a nice stroll into town. Our favorite part of the cabin was the back deck where we relaxed and played cards listening to the creek below. We also had free wi fi at the cabin so we were able to use our iPad. The cute strawberry decor in the cabin was fun to look at, we saw something new each day! The owner also has a nice notebook on the desk filled with information about Idyllwild and things to do. This was very helpful to us. The owner was also very easy to get in touch with and responded right away to my emails about the propery. We will stay here again for sure.

As Near Perfect As Possible

How good is it? Well we have already purchased a return visit and that should be a clue. The home is spacious, loaded with every convenience, and in a quiet, heavily treed neighborhood but still within walking distance of the best restaurant in Idyllwild -- Gastrognome. This is truly a place for a couple's quiet getaway, or that of a large family. It exceeded my expectations, and we will try it in every season. Next time we will bring friends with whom the share this excellent find. It's too good to keep to ourselves.

Great memorable stay!

The cabin was wonderful!! It had just enough amenity to feel luxurius but still lustic enough to feel appropriate for the surroundings. We loved the town and this cabin made us feel at home. It was perfect setting for us and my husband's parents. They even still talk about the stay and we cannot wait to go back. When we go back to Idyllwild, I don't think we'd consider elsewhere. We would love to come back HERE!
The cowboy cabin was so cute too! It was perfect for us especially because we were two couples who had different sleeping schedule. We did not have to worry about bothering each other.

This place is perfect for anyone not needing the Vegas style night life. It was quiet and peaceful. I can't remember hearing neighbors. It was a four minute walk to town for newspapers. We used the kitchen in the mornings but mostlly ate in town. We enjoyed the Gastrognome, The Creek House and the Red Kettle. We also liked the local wine bar. We had lots of space to spread out. One couple slept inside and the other in the separate cabin by the enclosed garage. There was a second floor with toys and play activities for children as well as a creek in the backyard. Great place for kids! There are a lot of varied activities within an easy drive. We plan to return in 2013.
