My roommate and I were looking for a temporary, fully furnished, apartment in the Wicker Park area while waiting to move into our new apartment. Brannon and the team were more than accommodating for our situation. They were very attentive to our needs and requests.

Would definitely stay here again!

Comfortable apartment, great neighborhood

This apartment was spacious and comfortable, perfect for two couples on a long weekend in Chicago to celebrate a birthday. And the neighborhood is a big plus - a short train ride from downtown but authentically residential with a great restaurant and bar scene. You won't be bored here. The managers were great, too, quick to answer our questions and flexible.

We traveled to Chicago to celebrate our son's 40th birthday. We needed a 2 bed, 2 bath place so two couples would be comfortable for six days. This condo provided us with all that. Great neighborhood. Two blocks from the Blue Line. An easy train trip from O'Hare and easy train travels to all parts of Chicago including Sox and Cubs games. The boys rented a car from the local rental place to drive to Green Bay - easy access to highway. Wicker Park has wonderful places to eat, drink, shop, walk and just look around. This condo was just perfect for us...clean, spacious, modern, comfortable, fun neighborhood.

Wicker Park/Bucktown condo North and Damen 6 corner at Red Line El, 2 bedroom 2 bath

Location, amenities and condo were just as advertised. Photos are accurate. Excellent appliances, great a/c, good w/d in condo, very nice bathrooms, comfy beds. Moderate size Flat screen TVs with cable, DVD but not Blu-Ray, front and back balconies, 2nd floor, good secure building discretely along busy nightlife North Ave., one garage parking place in a 3 car garage, totally quiet despite on busy night life 2 lane street. Very walkable area right at Red line El Damen stop we took to and from O'Hare and downtown. Lots to do and eat right here especially for happening young night life restaurants and bars. Not as upscale area as Lincoln Park. Generally felt safe walking around. Condo clean and well maintained, wear socks or shoes inside, style modern 90's brown, roomy, nice floors, kitchen and bathrooms.
Garage space is great to have but tiny. Our Honda Civic barely fit. No balcony furniture or grill. Living room couch and side chairs more for the look than comfort but fine. Supplies like soap, paper products and trash bags minimal but we didn't need to rush out to the store.
We will stay here again. This time only 2 of us rented it. 2 couples or adults and kids would be very comfortable and at home. Don't rent a big car. No gym. Has elevator and stairs. Can enter and exit at 3 doors. Nice views from roof deck.

Wonderful Condo

This condo is actually bigger than we thought based on the pictures. Beautiful kitchen, flat screen tv's in every room. Property was clean and well maintained. The master bath was incredible, with a big soaker tub and huge rain shower. We really enjoyed our stay in one of the coolest neighbourhoods in Chicago. Plenty of places to eat and shop and a short 4-5 stop train to the Loop. Second City was a short cab ride away. Would definitely stay here again and would recommend to friends.

Only small problem was the sink garbage disposal didn't work and we found out the hard way after we had made breakfast. Other than that our stay was problem free.

Elegant modern luxury apartment

We had a lovely stay in this apartment. The apartment is spacious, generously appointed and a great place to entertain. It has two lovely porches, high ceilings, wonderful bathrooms and very comfortable beds. We will not hesitate to stay there again.

We had only a few minor issues, the garage is very tight for a minivan, and when we first arrived we accidentally got locked out since there are several doors, but not all of the keys are on the first keychain you receive. The management company let us in again and then we got the hang of all of the doors.

The apartment is very convenient, there are many wonderful restaurants and resources around. Overall a five star experience.

Excellent apartment

This is a spacious and well laid out apartment which is well stocked with kitchen appliances, comfortable beds and bedding as well as perfect towels. The apartment decor is contemporary and tastefully done. Very pleasant and homey. We had a disabled person in our group and the elevator and apartment structure made it easy for her to come and go and to move around and shower. The neighborhood is wonderful with a wine store just several doorways away, excellent bars and restaurants within immediate walking distance and the Blue Line just a couple of blocks away. Thus, It isneasy to move around Chicago. There is a grocerynstore within a 15minute walk. Very convenient! The management was quite helpful and responsive. I would definatelynstay here again!

Great choice for Wicker Park!

4 of 5
Submitted: January 31, 2012 Stayed: January 2012
We had a nice time for a long weekend in Chicago, visiting a friend who lives in Wicker Park. For us, the location was absolutely perfect! The unit has a great layout, and is nicely appointed. The master bath shower was awesome! The fact that the condo is dog-friendly was a huge part of why we booked here - it is an important requirement for our family!

We had a great experience with both Brannon and Tim, who were very accommodating from booking to checkout. We had some problems accessing the unit when we first arrived, and Tim met us there within 10 minutes!

The location speaks for itself - great walking neighborhood with tons of shops, bars, and restaurants. There is a dog park nearby, and the condo is very close to the Damen station (blue line) to whisk you to wherever you need to go (if you want to leave the neighborhood!).

The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 for me was related to: the fact that the condo construction seems to be quite thin - we could hear people above us walking around and some speaking sounds, which made us self-conscious of any noise we may be making ourselves. Also ran out of hot water regularly (after only 10-15 minute showers...those rainfall heads use a lot of water!). Checkout at 10 am was also very early - the cleaning crew came at 10 am exactly on the dot. We were in the process of packing up our car, and were a bit rushed so ended up leaving a couple of things in the unit! One was recovered, others were not. Overall, not major problems, just minor gripes. It's a great choice if you're looking to stay in Wicker Park!

Owner's Response: Thank you for bringing the hot water issue to our attention since this is the first time we've heard this. We have raised the temperature setting on the hot water heater and it appears to last twice as long. We will keep a close watch on the temperature and replace the hot water heater if necessary. We are very happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay and loved the neighborhood. Accommodating all members of the family, including our four legged fury ones, is important to us as well. We hope to have you stay with us again soon.
