Beautiful Home
This house was definitely awesome. Went down with a group of 20 people for the weekend and everyone of us loved the place. We thought it was better in person than it was in the pictures. There was plenty of room for all us to hang out and to sleep. Everything was in great shape when we arrived. Pool/ping pong table downstairs, hot tub, and sound system throughout the house are excellent features. Very nice beach/lake is a 1-2 minute walk down the street. Plenty of parking at the house.
There are stores close by in case you need to run out for anything. Skirmish is about 10 minutes away for paintball/whitewater rafting and I believe there are a couple of casinos about 30 min away which we never made it to.
Colleen was very helpful in giving me information about the home and answering any questions I had. My friends and I said we would absolutely rent a home from her again, especially this one. Thanks again Colleen.

Great Home for Families
This spacious home suited us very well and exceeded our expectations. We were pleasantly surprised by the nice layout, spacious tables, and doors that closed off the dining room and basement to help our toddlers stay in the main living area. It was well-maintained and clean, and the owner was excellent, promptly returning calls and responding to any issues. Upon our arrival, we had some trouble with the hot tub, so we called her and she personally came out and spent time making sure it was fixed so that we could enjoy it the remainder of our stay. We were very impressed and so appreciated the personal care taken to ensure our enjoyment. The close proximity to the lake, sand, and playground was a huge attraction for us. Tennis courts were in excellent shape. We would certainly recommend this property to friends and relatives, and hope to return again, as long as our family doesn't outgrow it, with more babies on the way!

Great spot for a weekend retreat
House is huge, cool and fun. We had around 20 people for a weekend, and there was always plenty of room for people. Jacuzzi room was very cool, although we never ended up trying it...Dining room is nice and long so that the entire group can have dinner together. While there isnt a large enough living room for everyone to sit and chill in at once, there is definitely enough chilling space in the various spots around the house. The outside grounds are beautiful as well, with a gorgeous lake a 2 minute walk from the house. Pool table was lots of fun, although we couldn't get the arcade games to work properly....Sound system throughout the house was a nice touch. Kitchen and bathrooms were clean and modern, all bedrooms were spacious and comfortable. Sitting on the large outdoor deck in the Poconos is amazing.
Would definitely recommend. My main peeves were that linen and towels were not included. The listing clearly says the property does NOT come with it, so nothing unexpected here. Just saying, when you have such an inclusive big place, and you pay for cleaning, it would be a welcome touch....Just saying. But overall, highly recommended.

Great House for a Large Get Together
We recently had my wife's surprise 30th birthday party at the house and had over 20 people stay there for the weekend. The house had enough room for everyone and we even had a enough space for the murder mystery we held at the house. The game room and the basement were great places to hang out.
My only compliant was there was a fair amount of cigaratte butts and trash under the deck when we arrived, but besides that the house was great and I would reccomend it for group gatherings.

This home is fabulous!!!!
We stayed here in March 2013. This home is Amazing! It is HUGE! The home is immaculate and beautifully decorated. We were a party of 9 couples and the way it is set up, we could VERY comfortably all hang out together and still have tons of room! I loved the giant dining areas. It was great to have everyone eating together. The set up of the house, everything from the family room, the bedrooms, the bathrooms, the dining areas, the deck and the hot tub were purposeful and well thought out. Even the location and the parking was great, On a scale of 1-10, I would give this home an 11!!! I can't wait to go back :)

Wonderful Weekend of Fun and Relaxation!!!!
Thank you for helping us create a weekend of memories with family! We were able to get our whole extended family together under one roof for the first time in years to celebrate the holidays! From our first phone call with Colleen through check out, the process was seamless! Upon arrival the house was immaculate (and that is coming from a picky mom) and there was plenty of room to fit 4 families with children comfortably! The furnishings are all brand new and kept much better than any other rental we have ever used. We never felt crowded or on top of each other. We truly appreciate your attention to detail in the kitchen where every serving piece and cooking necessity was provided for a rental home. An early Christmas dinner was enjoyed by everyone! The husbands would like to personally thank you for all of the "fun" the basement provided! Hours of ping pong, arcade games, darts, and poker kept them happily occupied! We didn't even need to leave the house. My personal favorite was relaxing with my sisters and cousins in the hot tub until the wee hours of the morning! Thank you again Colleen and family for sharing your beautiful home with us! We are already planning our return trip next year!!

Awesome stay!!!
Positives:
- Very responsive renter.
- Pictures do not do this house justice. Ample room for our group to eat together and watch movies together.
- House music system was excellent as it streamed across the house, just connect your phone/tablet/laptop and your good to go.
- Downstairs entertainment room- poker table, arcade cabinet, darts, ping pong and pool. No need to leave the house for entertainment.
- Well heated.
- Spacious rooms.
- Convenient location - close to Big Boulder Ski Mountain.
Negatives:
- Refrigerator was not cooling as well as we would expect. But a a new fridge should already have been installed.
- When using hot tub need to air out the room. The Chlorine smell is strong because of the small space where it is located.
- These negatives did not in any way affect my experience and I would recommend this home to anyone interested.

Excellent
My Husband rented out this beautiful house and and threw me a 40th surprise party with 20 of our closest friends. I was amazed how much room we had for everyone. The house was beautiful and very clean. The men loved the game room in the basement and we ladies loved the fully stocked kitchen. The Jacuzzi was an extra special treat at the end of the day. We are looking forward to renting this house again this summer so we can bring the whole family and enjoy the Lake. We give this rental five stars. The owner Colleen was very nice and helpful with any questions we had.

great location ~ great house
Great location - close walk to the lake and beach (would be perfect for the summer). Close to skiing, which was awesome! House was very clean, kitchen was fully stocked with dishes, glasses, pots & pans, etc. All the kids loved the game room in the basement (happy kids = happy adults). The owners were always available during our stay for any questions that we had. We will definitely stay again and recommend to others.

Has so much potential, but lots lacking...
My number one complaint I have about this property was the lack of response by the owner. We had multiple problems and questions during our stay and we called multiple times and emailed as well and not only was there no response, we didn't get a call back the entire 4 days we were there. It was a very big disappointed for all of us.
That being said, here are my general thoughts on this property:
PROS: 8 bedrooms is nice. Bedroom configuration worked well for our group. Large dining table.
CONS: it appears the owners have cut a lot of corners to keep expenses down. you have to turn the water on/off upon arrival and departure. therefore, the ice maker does not work in the refrigerator. don't count on having any ice there and be prepared to bring your own. also, its freezing cold when you arrive and takes quite awhile to warm up.
the kitchen stock was weak, especially compared to other places we've stayed. this is a house that is supposed to sleep 22. would you expect at least 20 glasses available then? I think there were maybe 10 drinking glasses. and I think 3 wine glasses available. we had to drink our wine out of paper cups.
TVs in many of the bedrooms but owners to cheap to make a cable connection. Whats the point?
the indoor hot tub had an intense chemical smell since it was in enclosed doors making it impossible for some of us to use/enjoy. In addition, the house really could have used a sofa downstairs in the basement. No real place to hang out.
My overall thoughts - we were really disappointed. for the price, we expected better customer service and better quality. there is better value out there elsewhere... check out other options before landing here. I know that our group will be staying elsewhere next year.

Owner's Response: I apologize that your rental experience was not what you expected, I try my best to be as accomodating as possible and we shared 7 emails the last 2 weeks before your rental date and I answered every email in fact you apologized for emailing me so much. The day of your arrival I met you at the house and told you if you needed anything just call my cell phone, after checking back through I never received a call from you. I did receive an email the night of your arrival telling me that my house is awesome and your so excited for the weekend and that you just wanted to make me aware of a couple things. Which is what most renters do if they find things they don't want to be blamed for, one being a screen door that didn't lock and the other being a running toilet. Both items are fixed now it didn't seem like it was an emergency that needed to inconvience your vacation. As far as the water goes we shut the water off so that our pipes don't freeze and burst when nobody is up there. We purchased the home 2 1/2 years ago and replaced the kitchen, rugs, painted and purchased all new furniture so we did invest a good amount of money to make the home nice. The basement was meant to be a game room which is why there is no couch down there and we were told by the cable company that cable could not be run in the bedroom without taking the walls out so we put tv's with dvd players in them so people could at least watch movies and we have that specified on our website. As you can see from previous renters I do nothing but try and accomodate my renters any issues that previous renters have had I was on it and it was fixed so I am really sorry for any miscommunications I was up there myself that weekend so I definetly could and would have addressed any issues if I was aware of them.
