We were blessed to celebrate our 34th anniversary this summer. We have lived in Santa Fe for 20 years and have loved every minute in The Land of Enchantment. We are mostly retired now...John worked in film and television and Joan was the director of a Santa Fe non-profit. Photo Above: John and 'Cooper' at Williams Lake in the beautiful Taos Ski Valley.
We found ourselves spending a lot of time in Taos to ski in the winter and hike in the summer. New Mexico is known for its beauty but Taos is truly awe inspiring to us and many others who visit this exquisite town. We looked at houses for months but when we saw this home in the Millicent Rogers Museum area, we both fell in love with Casa Verde. Now we enjoy sharing our homes with visitors and love to hear from guests who tell us that staying at Casa Verde helped to make their family reunion or ski vacation even more special.
We enjoy the feeling of seclusion and privacy in our area, yet we are close to town and close to the Taos Ski Valley. The great room is spectacular...the light, the mountain views, the aspens 'quaking' in the front courtyard....the list goes on. The layout of the home is very conducive to large gatherings. There is a place for everyone to enjoy a bit of privacy and no one has to sleep in a hallway or living room.
