Located in the heart of the beautiful Pocono Mountains. The property is situated on a peaceful lake with access to many attractions for both the thrill seeker and the relaxer alike. The home comes complete with 4 full bedrooms, accommodating up to 11 guests, a L shaped sofa, 42' Plasma TV, along with a Wood Burning Fire Place. The property is a short, five minute drive to the popular Pocono Raceway and is located an easy fifteen minute drive from Camelback Ski Resort, which becomes an exciting water park in the summer months. Somewhere in between you will find Mount Airy Casino if you find yourself feeling lucky ... That's if you ever want to leave the house your entire stay. There is plenty to keep you busy at the lake house from paddle boats to the popular hammocks or try your hand at cooking on the gas grill over looking the picturesque lake. There is also a communal pool located on the development if you don't fancy the lake. This property really has something for everyone!!

A Great Getaway - Under 2 Hours from Manhattan

We had a great experience with Andy and this vacation rental. A group of 10 arrived on Friday evening for a ski weekend at Camelback. The property was fairly easy to find (FYI - there are a number of Clearview Drive's, use Google Maps on your iPhone rather than GPS once you are in the development). The setting is beautiful, right on the lake. I'm sure it's a great spot in the summer. The house was equip with pretty much everything you need. Ample pots and pans, as well as plates and flatware. Only thing I would like to mention is that the renter (you) need to provide linens / sheets for the beds and your own towels. There is a washer and dryer on the property, so you can clean everything before you go. It was only a 15-20 min drive to Camelback which made for an enjoyable day of skiing and boarding. Hot water was sufficient as all 10 of us showered withing an hour or two of being home. The garbage is a bit funky, you need to get stickers for the bags, and drive them to the recycling facility within in the community. Don't think that you can just drive there and throw any bag of trash into the compactor, there is a man on duty all day, every day. Just buy the stickers, or pack up your garbage and drive to Walmart and use the dumpster there...
All-in-all, a great rental, very friendly and helpful host. Willing to rent to Mid-20s without any problems.

There is a map that we send renters that shows the location of the house from the main entrance as it can be a bit of maze in the development. The trash isn’t ideal I agree but it is the only option available to us in the development without the high costs of private firms, which would require us to add $100 to each rental. Recycling is free so you can usually get away with just one garage sack per rental if you separate it out.
This is the same reasoning why we are unable to provide linens and towels within our current resources. To launder sheets and towels each time would again hike up the rental cost by around $50 that we try to avoid.

2nd Stay.. I think I might make it a tradition !

What can I say, it's everything you want in a cabin. The only negative thing about my trip was that the deer didn't come as close as they did last year(to the front of the house) The pictures don't do it justice; it's so much of a homey feel to it. Went snowboarding at Camelback, and relaxed by the fire and played board games. The property was clean and kitchen fully stocked to fit our group (9). I'd recommend this house to pretty much anyone who wants to have a good time. I'm considering on renting for the Summer now!

We went so many places in Poconos, this place is the BEST!!!!!!

Lake Front Retreat

My wife and I rented this property for an August 2012 vacation with our three adult children, their spouses and our grandchildren. As advertised, it is a beautiful lake front property which provides great accommodations for an expanded family. The amenities both inside and outside the house allowed us to relax and enjoy our time together. The deer mentioned in multiple prior reviews, walk freely around the lawn and surrounding areas. Even though the fish were not large, we enjoyed fishing from the back yard pier, where one of our grandchildren caught her first fish. Even though the community offers a swimming pool, we did not find it necessary. Our grandchildren (four years old and younger) enjoyed the local beach which was only a short car ride away. Our son enjoyed sailing on the lake with a small sail boat he had brought with him on the trip. This was a great place for us to be together. Thanks Andy!

A great place to stay!

This was our first family vacation in the Poconos, as we normally travel to the Jersey Shore. The house was just as described, and well laid-out to suit our family. There were a few minor issues that I fixed myself, but not a problem! Andrew was great in communications, from the initial rental inquiry, through the actual vacation. He was very responsive to questions and concerns, and made sure we had an enjoyable stay. Note: he did offer to fix the above mentioned issues, but I was more than happy to help out. Being "pet friendly" was a primary requirement, and this house fit the bill. It provided our dogs with plenty of space to roam and enjoy the lake as well.
The house has great lake views, especially from the upper rooms and deck. We happened to catch a week with beautiful weather and a "full moon", which greatly added to the the viewing pleasure at night. We also had a couple of camp fire nights, which were also fun. The lake is great for boating, fishing, and just plain relaxing. Plenty of activities in the area, including golf, hiking, shopping, state parks, etc. We located a very nice restaurant nearby on 611 (Bailley's). The food was great, and reasonably priced.
All-in-all, a great experience and a change of pace for us. Consider this home for your next vacation....you won't be dissapointed! Thanks Andy!

A perfect vacation

My family & I rented this home for our summer vacation. Once we walked in the front doors we were amazed. It was beautiful. The view from the back deck to the water was breathtaking. We walked out to the deck and looked to the house next door and there were 3 deer in the yard.
The bedrooms were big and comfortable.
My children loved taking out the peddle boat. They went all along the lake in it. My husband took the row boat out everyday and went fishing.He caught a large mouth bass on our 2nd day there.
The Icing on the cake was every night the deer came into the front yard. One night we had 12 of them. My mom came with us on vacation and she loved to watch the deer romp in the yard. We got some amazing pictures of the deer and the lake.
My children liked shopping at the outlets which are close by also the horseback riding. They also hit Camel Back Beach and the casino.
If you want a quiet vacation and some great family time, then this house is for you. We had fires in the pit and just enjoyed the peace and quiet.
I LOVED the house in the summer, I want to see it in the winter with all the snow around. I'm sure it will be just as breathtaking.

Great Place to Relax!!

We recently stayed at this vacation home. We were 10 people and It was spacious and the view of the was lake breath taking, the house was exactly as listed. The kids were on the lake everyday, although it was brisk. Would definitely consider renting this house again.

An unforgettable weekend!

To start, the house is beautiful. It's everything we could have asked for and more. We were a group of 11 people, and we all fit comfortably. The view of the lake is also beautiful. We went in early march and still found a lot to do. We were able to take the paddle boats out.
Also, the house is close to town where they have supermarkets and places to eat,
In short, this house was amazing! We all want to go back this summer!

Perfect Weekend Getaway

The cabin is super charming and easily accommodated everyone in our group (There were 8 of us). It's just a 15-20 minute drive to Camel Back and close to grocery stores and liquor stores. The wood-burning fireplace was my favorite part of the weekend.
One minor thing --At first, we had a tricky time figuring out which light switches matched which lights. [For example, the downstairs lights near the sliding doors turn on some of the upstairs lights]. We thought a fuse had blown, but it was just a matter of experimenting with the light switches. Don't worry!
I would recommend this property to friend or relative for sure.

Great Weekend Place

Bunch of my pals all went up to this lake house for a weekend of skiing and shenanigans. This place had plenty of rooms for crashing and a huge deck. Close to Camelback. We're going to head back in the summer to tube around the lake out back. A bit hard to find (look for the sign that says Camp Barefoot), but well worth it.
