Our family of four have rented homes/apartments all over the world, and we throughly enjoyed this rental. The owners were very helpful and responsive right from the very first email we sent. The apartment is very clean and spacious and modern. The photos don't do it justice. We were pleasantly surprised when we came in the front door and saw such a nice modern and well decorated space. We booked this primarily because of location, and secure parking for our rented vehicle and because it had an outdoor space, but am so glad we chose Valerie and Clark's apartment. The beds were really comfortable; even the pull out bed in the third bedroom. Towels and bed linens were luxurious and the kitchen was very well stocked. The bathrooms were modern and very clean and well equipped with soap and shampoo, etc. Internet worked well. The upstairs rooftop deck had stunning views but was a bit windy, so we didn't stay up there for too long. The building has an elevator, so bringing luggage up to the apartment was a breeze. There were some issues with the laundry facilities and we were warned via email by Valerie prior to our arrival, and the owners kindly took care of any laundry we required to be done. This was outstanding as we had been travelling for some time prior to arriving in San Francisco, and were running short on clean items. What service! Also, there was also some strange, short power outage in our apartment, and Clark scrambled to provide power via extension chords from another area of the building so we could plug our phones and laptops in to be charged, etc until the utility company could rectify things. They offered a free breakfast out for our family which we didn't feel was necessary as we had temporary power for the coffee maker and toaster, etc and already had purchased breakfast food. They also, without being asked, refunded us one night's stay for all the inconvenience. We were so happy with their compassion. These owners really care about their renters and try to make sure everything is perfect for you; a very important factor to consider when renting. The electrical issues were no fault of theirs, and I felt they handled things with great class. Thank you so much for opening your doors to us.

We recently rented this apartment for a month. The apartment is well-equipped with high quality tasteful furniture and top-of-the-line appliances. The owners live directly above this unit and were there in a heartbeat whenever we had any concerns which needed their attention. The area is ideal. Its a little over a block to Polk Street with neighborhood restaurants, and less than two blocks to Union Street, a neighborhood area filled with upscale boutiques and very good restaurants. In the month we spent there, we walked to restaurants for dinner at least 2/3 of the time. We would definitely rent this apartment again.

This apartment was nicely furnished, lovely colors, new and comfortable furnishings. The beds are, by far, the most comfortable beds I've ever slept in - including the beds in my own home. The owners are responsive and accomodating. The location is good; close to transportation and Union Street with nice shops and restaurants.
The only slight disappointment was the view out the windows - all looked at the wall of the surrounding buildings. If you don't care about that, you will have a wonderful stay.

I have booked this property for our High School Reunion. The house is FANTASTIC, it has a wonderful roof top with beautiful views. Location is excellent, walking distance to Fisherman's Wharf. Very comfortable home with excellent owners, who were very attentive, to make sure we have everything we needed.
This beautiful home is now in all our Reunion pictures and will stay as a sweet memory for many many years to come for all of us.

My family rented this apartment in April 2011. We were six in all (adult children with their significant others). The apartment was clean and well appointed. Owners live one floor above and were very accommodating. We enjoyed this location as it was a very reasonable ten minute walk to Marina District and Fishermen's Wharf. Owner gave us good suggestions for local dining and we were very pleased with her recommendations. Off street parking a real plus and kitchen/living area was well appointed. This was such a nice alternative to renting three hotel rooms for three nights. I would rent this place again in a heartbeat. Worked very well for our family gathering.
