I stayed at Casa Simba with my wife and daughter and we were very pleased with the accommodations! This condo is exactly as advertised and the ocean view is great! The market just around the corner makes it super convenient to pick up pretty much anything you will need and it seems like they are always open. Samara Beach is stunning, the town is small with everything you need and a real Costa Rican vibe...Casa Simba is a great place to enjoy the beautiful setting!

Staying at this condo was an incredible experience. As a young couple, we loved how close in proximity it was to the town, bars, restaurants, and beach. Although there were apartments closer to the town, it was nice to be slightly removed (only about a 10 minute walk) because the actual town can be quite noisy at night. In terms of the beach, you walk for 5 minutes and you are there. The ocean is bath water temperature, and the waves are calm enough to lounge in the water and swim. The condo has all the amenities you would need, including a great balcony view of the pool and ocean. BEING UPSTAIRS IS A PLUS! The balcony is bigger than the bottom units, and you don't have to worry about unwanted bugs as much. You have a better view as well, and it stays a little cooler because you get the ocean breeze. There is a convenience store about 100 feet away that has everything that you would need if you are feeling lazy, and would rather not make the 7 minute walk to the grocery store. There is also an ice cream parlor and an authentic Tico restaurant about 2 minutes away on foot. The place is cleaned every week and the owners are very accommodating to any needs or inquiries. Every morning you will be able to listen to the frogs, tropical birds, and howler monkeys that hang out right across the street. There is a pasture on the other side of the condo that has wild horses roaming about. BBQ parties were a must every weekend. The complex is gated and there is a guard there 24/7, although this wasn't necessary considering the area was very safe. The condo is quite spacious and could fit 5 adults easily. We didn't have a car, so for our weekend excursions, we would rent from Alamo which was located in town. We are in our 20's and found the town to have no shortage of entertainment, i.e. kayaking, scuba, snorkeling, horseback riding, reggae nights, clubs/bars, restaurants, gym, and boating. I also work from my computer, and was very impressed with the internet speed/WIFI. We called Las Palmeras our home for two months, and would have stayed longer if we could. Lovely place in all regards.

Life at the condo was easy breezy! Grocery store and bakery around the corner, the kitchen had all the utensils for meal preparation. The view from the balcony faced the ocean and provided hours of "birding". The pool offered refreshing dips from morning till evening. Walking to the beach was no more than five to ten minutes, depending on your pace. The beach is extraordinary in that it is a bay approximately four miles from one end to the other; excellent morning exercise, depending of course on the tides. The town can be reached via the beach or the regular route. Obviously the beach route was preferred since it was cooler and less traffic. All along the beach are great eateries and bars at various price points. The condo was comfortable and clean. I hope to come back in the near future with my husband.

The owner was great--very helpful in answering questions. I loved having a fully equipped kitchen, two TVs, and air conditioning! The condo was within walking distance of the town. I really enjoyed my stay in Samara and Casa Simba was great!

I stayed at Casa Simba for about 2 weeks and had a wonderful time. As a single lady traveling with my female friend, we felt safe and at home at the Casa. The walk to the beach is about 5 minutes, and to town about 10. I loved this location because it is a little outside of the noise of town at night, but not a hike into town at all. Pablito's is a great local resto right around the corner, and the store beside it is also very convenient. There is also a nice walk to Playa Buena Vista that is not far from this side of town. I would definitely come back to stay at Casa Simba next time I am in Samara!

This place is wonderful, everything described and more! It's very close to town (just minutes to walk) but far enough to have some peace and quiet. The beach is a moment's walk away, plus the pool and BBQ are great to have close by! The owners are exceptional to work with and very helpful. The entire complex is very safe and the condo neighbors were nice as well, sharing tid-bits on what to do and see in the area. Highly recommend if you're planning on visiting Playa Samara to stay here!
