Character Home Located in the Heart of Sault Ste Marie. Wide baseboards, hardwood floors and lead glass windows. The house has been fully renovated, modern kitchen, new bathrooms, carpet and a new back deck. You will be glad you chose this over a hotel.
We love animals and Pets certainly are negotiable.
The neighborhood is great for walking, old trees in the yards, safe for walking and people are friendly. If you want to drive you can be downtown in less than 5 minutes or at the mall in a few minutes. Golf is less than 15 minutes and there are some amazing courses challenging and reasonably priced. If you are a foodie make sure to check out the Italian, Sault Ste Marie has great restaurants that you won't find anywhere else.

Stay here instead of a hotel! You will love it!

This is way better than any hotel! Our family {2 parents, 4 children) stayed here for 5 nights at the beginning of December. My Husband is from the Soo and we were visiting family. It was getting hard with the kids to ask someone to take us all in and Trish's house was the PERFECT solution. It was clean and comfortable. Room for us to spread out and we even had family over and could still put the kids to bed.
As soon as you walk in you will feel comfortable. The charm of the older home blended with the updated kitchen beautifully. The bathrooms are great, and the beds are so comfortable. We used the Murphy bed downstairs for the older kids and it worked great. My oldest daughter loved reading on the chaise by the window. The enclosed porch is beautiful but we did not use it too much due to the time of year we were there.
Anyone who is going to the Soo, for business or pleasure would be very comfortable here. We will be back! Thanks again Trish :)

absolutely wonderful

This summer my son and I are working in SSM two weeks each month. My hope was to find a warm, beautiful home in a quiet neighbourhood, rather than live out of a suitcase in a hotel. I could not have asked, or imagined, a more perfect place. Despite being in the downtown area, the neighbourhood is very quiet, with wonderfully cared for homes, beautiful gardens, and roads lined with mature maple trees. The home itself has a fantastic screened porch with comfortable furnishings- the perfect place in the morning to have your coffee and read. The house has a cozy living room, and as I love to cook- my dream kitchen. And what I appreciate most- given that I work night shifts- is the care taken by the landlord to provide the kind of comfortable beds found in the higher end hotels. I could not have asked for anything more and feel fortunate that I discovered this absolutely wonderful property.

Perfect Place to Relax

We rented this home as a place to stay while we visited family in the Soo. The house was very clean, beautifully decorated and the owner provided many of the amenities you'd expect to find in a hotel but not necessarily in a vacation home rental. We had a great time entertaining family in the huge kitchen, having bbqs on the large deck and lounging in the covered porch area. The bedrooms were big enough to accomodate a play yard for my nine month old, had new comfortable beds and ceilings fans. It did get quite hot in the house but we never had a problem as the fans cooled us right down at night. The bathrooms were both nice, with the downstairs one being quite large and modern. I highly reccomend renting this house when coming to the Soo.

Beautiful spotless home

Perfect Adorable Home Away from Home

We stayed here for ten days visiting family in Sault Ste. Marie. The location was perfect for us. The house is great. The kitchen is beautiful and everything you could possibly need is provided. The beds were very comfortable and I will definitely stay here again if it is available. I will never ever stay at a hotel in the Sault again if this house is available. We have stayed at nice hotels in the Soo but nothing compares to being in such a comfortable house. Trish the owner is terrific and helpful and so very easy to deal with. Really can't say enough nice things about the whole experience. You should have no reservations about renting this house through VRBO. You will be delighted. Just hope you don't want to rent it when I do. Thanks again Trish!

Perfect getaway!

My only regret about staying here is that I didn’t get to stay longer. This quaint and historic home is more than I had hoped and more! We spent lazy mornings on the sun porch sipping our coffee, watching the autumn leaves fall, and the children playing across the street. There is a spacious kitchen (complete with dishes and glassware that we wanted to stuff in our suitcases and bring home), very comfy beds, and a lovely deck and backyard. We felt so relaxed here and enjoyed the nice collection of DVDs to watch in the evenings. The location couldn’t be better. We brought our bikes with us and could easily bike downtown and around the city's trails and were only 1 mile from grocery stores and restaurants. The owner, Trish, is very accommodating. It seems her experience travelling has given her insight to provide all the luxuries of home. We couldn’t be happier with our choice!

The perfect stay

We have been in SSM for work for a couple of months, and were so lucky to be able to rent this house for our family (2 + 2 kids). It has been the perfect place for us both regarding location as well as for a warm and beautiful place to come home to. We have had the best time here, and the landlord is such a wonderful person, as well as the neighbors, so we have never been worried about anything while staying here. If we ever come back, we hope to be able to stay here again!
