Another day in Paradise

We are a family of 6, Mom, Dad, 3 kids, 14, 12, and 10 and Grandma. We absolutely loved this condo. It looks exactly like the photos. It was pristine clean, the beds were very comfortable, the condo was well stocked with linens, and all the towels you could want. We loved the patio and the pool. It is away from the traffic and congestion of Seven Mile Beach, but only minutes away. It is maybe 10 minutes to Foster's the virtually American grocery store with everything you want/need to cook at the condo. The kitchen had everything we needed and we only went out twice in 2 weeks, the first and last nights. We bought fish at Hammerheads open fish market. We got sushi at Yoshi Sushi , excellent. We are avid divers and kiteboarders. The diving is wonderful, and once you figure out the tank rental system, easy to arrange shore dives (great stuff and much less expensive than boat diving). We did one boat dive, 2 tanks and a trip to visit the stingrays. We loved it and the kids had a ball feeding the rays hot dog pieces! The kiteboarding at Barker's Beach, 15 minutes away, was fantastic. Lots of side onshore wind, safe (please wear boots), shallow and the guys from Kitesurf Cayman were terrific. After extensive research, this is the best place to "flat water" kiteboard outside of Hatteras Island. We enjoyed our own virtually private beach in the National Park. Cayman can be very expensive if you stay in a big hotel and eat out every night. The food prices were higher than home but acceptable. The plane fare on Cayman Airways was a bargain. All in all I highly recommend this condo and Grand Cayman and trust me we are planning to return!
