Wonderful week in Punta Cana

Our family and a guest enjoyed a fabulous week at this villa in Punta Cana. It is well appointed, clean, and very comfortable. The house staff made us feel very welcome and were very helpful in every way. The location is very nice and there is a nice amount of privacy with the lush vegetation surrounding the pool and patio area. It is easy to get around within the Punta Cana resort and it is close to the beautiful beach. We were glad to have the golf carts and did not need to rent a car. We wish we had practiced our spanish a little more prior to our arrival. However, we were able to communicate well enough without any problems. We enjoyed snorkeling one day and visited the ecological reserve as well. We liked our dinner at La Yola the best of the restaurants we tried. We ate at the villa several nights and Nelly and Edmund prepared several tasty meals for us. The weather is fabulous and the scenery here is gorgeous. The owner was very easy to work with and helpful with any questions we had. We would love the opportunity to return if possible.

La atención de Eduardo (el dueño) siempre fue buena y disponible.
El personal de servicio impecable.
100% recomendable.
Consejo, si quieren recorrer otros lugares es necesario que arrienden un carro, ya que la villa esta dentro de Punta Cana y para ir a cualquier punto es lejos.

What a Magnificent Vacation!

The title pretty much sums up our entire experience. First – the house. Absolutely beautiful and exactly as shown in the pictures – truly picturesque. Our first morning there when Seneida made us a beautiful breakfast and Chiciquito set it up nicely near the pool side – we knew we found heaven! Seneida & Chiciquito were just the sweetest & super helpful and invisible at the right times and there when you needed them! Chiciquito will run to the store if you need an item/s and Seneida is a great cook so definitely try out her skills. The owner – Eduardo. Very nice to work with and was easily available to address any questions we had during our stay.
The entire resort complex is massive (so large it doesn’t feel like a “resort” more like a town) and we LOVED having the golf cart to get around to the beaches (closest one is less than a 5 minute ride and they are ALL beautiful), dinner (lots of really cool restaurant to choose from and the food was very good – have to try their cerviche) and we also used it to get to the club house to play golf (we never played on nicer more picturesque courses in our life) and just explore. We even took advantage of the scuba center and took a quick resort course and scuba dove right off the coast.
I’ve traveled around much of the Caribbean when I worked for Islands Magazine and I have to say this area of the DR and this home are truly special and we cannot wait to go back!
p.s. we too were apprehensive about wiring money to the DR, but that is standard for foreign rentals/out of state rentals and it all went fine.

We stayed at the villa from 7/7/2012 to 7/14/2012 and had a fantastic time. The house is beautiful and immaculate. The location is great and about a three minute ride in the golf cart to the beach. We had six people (my wife and two kids (ages 19/17) plus two of their friends on vacation. The resort had plenty to do to keep the kids occupied but some of the best times we just hanging around by the pool. As a guest staying in the house, you have full access to the Punta Cana resort as well as the Tortuga Bay resort, which is within the Punta Cana resort. There are plently of restaurants to choose from and the food was great.
There was a housekeeper (Seneida) and gardener (Edmund) that really made the vacation special. I had never stayed at a house with a live in housekeeper so I was a little hesitant at first but Seneida did an excellent job and made the vacation much more relaxing. Each morning coffee was ready and she cooked several meals for us. She kept the house incredibly clean.
Having to wire money out of the United States was a concern but everything worked out without a problem. The villa owner, Eduardo, was easy to work with and was quick to respond if I had any questions.
I would highly recommend staying at this villa. There is nothing negative I can say as we had a perfect vacation.

My wife, daughter, son-in-law and three grandchildren enjoyed a wonderful stay at this property. I wholeheartedly agree with the other reviewers that the owner is very conscientious that guests have a splendid time. The property is modern in design and absolutely beautiful. This is better than a five star hotel. The staff was amazing and the combination of activities within Punta Cana resort and the ability to just relax and enjoy the tranquility at the Villa was fantastic. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and hope to be able to return soon! - Richard and Family

Great Home! Delightful staff! Ideal vacation!

My husband, sister and husband and their two daughters 18 and 21, spent a perfect week here. The house was ideal with the right private and public spaces indoor and out. The housekeeper was delightful and cooked wonderful meals and Dominican dishes for us and offered to show us how to make them when we asked. She was not intrusive but always there if we needed anything. She keeps the house immaculate and the grounds are well cared for too with the view to the golf course just right for views, but also privacy.
The location in the gorgeous PuntaCana Resort and Club was wonderful and made transfers to/from the airport quick and easy. Access to the club and resort amenties was nice (my husband and niece went diving, he used the workout center, we carried out pizza from one of the restuarants and we all enjoyed the eco preserve; the new year eve party was tons of fun!) and the beaches are some of the best in the Caribbean. The golf cart for beach access and getting around was fun. The owner is easy to deal with and very concerned that you have a great vacation. I highly recommend this home for your get-away-from-it-all and relax vacation! --Susan, Chicago

My husband and two daughters recently spent an enjoyable and incredibly relaxing week at Tortuga Villa B5. We decided to do something a little different for Thanksgiving this year and after shopping around for the perfect vacation rental, we decided on this property and I am so glad we did.
The owner was very prompt and courteous in responding to our questions and special requests. He arranged for someone to pick us up from the airport so our arrival was very smooth and hassle free.
According to the owner, the home has been newly remodeled and it shows. It is located in a very established neighborhood with beautiful grounds and looks out on to one of the golf courses within the Punta Cana resort. It features a great pool area, which was where we usually ended our day. My daughters were able to take the golf cart, which was included in our rental rate, to a gorgeous beach that is within walking distance, but of course, they thought going by golf cart was much more fun!
The rental rate also included a housekeeper who made a delicious breakfast every morning and was available to make meals for us if we chose so. While she stayed there our entire stay, it was not intrusive or uncomfortable one bit since she has her own sleeping quarters and would clean and tidy up while we were out. We decided to rent a car just to be able to get around outside the resort however, it is not necessary if you plan to stay within Punta Cana village.
The home itself is gorgeous. The kitchen is fully functional and updated and features all the amenities we are accustomed to at home. My daughters wanted to share the downstairs bedroom, which has two queen beds and a private bath. My husband and I stayed in the master bedroom upstairs, which was a very generous size and incredibly comfortable.
We did not want to leave when our vacation was over. But we are happy to have found a new home away from home. We will definitely be back and may even make this a new family tradition for Thanksgiving!
