Live the dream!
Petr and I met in Dutch Harbor over thirty years ago. We moved to Southeast to build our own home in a road less area outside of Petersburg. In 2000 we got a road and in 2009 we got electricity. Our Alaska adventure continues and is enriched by our many guests who fall in love with Alaska every year.
The Lucky Loon was built in the early 80's before there was even a road to the property. While we were building our rock house, our friends were building their beautiful home .8 mile away, bringing materials out by small boat. When they decided to go sailing years later, we were 'lucky' enough to acquire the Lucky Loon property and began our vacation rental experience. We've had a great time introducing people to the beauty of southeast Alaska.
Living on the shores of Frederick Sound offers endless opportunity to see wildlife from the comfort of the porch or living area. Whales, sea lions, seals, deer, eagles, porcupine, otters and porpoise have all been sighted from the house.
