You can enjoy seeing all the historic sites of Istanbul (Topkopi Palace, Blue Mosque, Agia Sofia, Underground Cistern) by walking just a few footsteps away and you can come back to relax on the terrace and overlook the Marmara Sea and street life below. The beauty of this flat is that although you are in the heart of Sultan Ahmet, the street where you will stay is relatively quiet with the exception of the exotic call to prayer from the mosque next door. Newly renovated and stylishly decorated, 1-4 people can comfortably stay here. Public transportation is literally footsteps away and both my partner and I live in Istanbul and are always available to help with any needs or questions. Istanbul is a city of views and being able to overlook the sea and daily life of shop keepers, tea sellers, carpet dealers as well as fellow travellers is the perfect way to feel the amazing energy of this amazing city. The flat is on the 3rd floor. There is no elevator. The kitchen and bathroom are modern and newly appointed, free wifi and cable t.v. are available. You will recieve a welcome package with local foods and drinks when you arrive so you can just put down your bags and relax with a snack before heading out to enjoy Istanbul. There are a couple of historic turkish baths close by, local restaurants, and wonderful shopping.

I am an American women living in Istanbul since 2005. I owned a cafe here until a few months ago. Since I travel alot myself I can understand the needs of travellers that are looking for alternatives to hotels. I can speak Turkish and my business partner Aylin is Turkish and speaks perfect English so we are always available to help with any questions or needs.
Being a frequent travller myself, I think I can understand what is important for people on the road. I have lived in Istanbul for over 6 years so I can understand both local customs and culture and a foreigners mentality . In this way I created the perfect place to stay or 'live' in Istanbul for guests that want an alternative to hotels
The benefits are location, a boutique style accomodation at reasonable rates and the opportunity to ask me any advice or recommendations about where to go that isn't in the guide books!!
