The Janssen Place is the perfect location for anybody looking to get away for a week or longer. My wife had just returned from Afghanistan for a two week vacation, and this was the perfect spot for us to see some of the attractions in Kansas City.

This apartment is ideally located close to the highway and downtown. It is in a quiet neighborhood and provides lots of privacy for those seeking to rest and relax. The Mitchell's made sure our stay was a pleasant one. We really liked the special touches of fresh flowers in the bathroom and a bottle of Champagne waiting for us upon arrival.

What you see in the pictures is exactly what you will find upon arrival. The property was clean, well-maintained and have top of the line furnishings and decorations.

There is no need to bring anything except food and clothes because the Mitchell's thought about everything to make guests feel at home. We will definitely like to stay here in the future and would recommend this for couples or families with small children. Thanks for everything!

The carriage house was a peaceful and beautiful getaway, located within easy access to where we went while in KC. Stunning decor, and all the amenities that we needed/wanted. Thank you for a great place to come to for relaxation. If ever in KC again, I'll look to come back!

What an absolutely marvelous place to stay!! Shirley and I had a ball for our week there and were sorry to leave. Kudos to Barbara and her Husband for a simply magnificent job turning this carriage house into a beautiful, elegant, and extremely comfortable retreat. The central location was also perfect for our needs. Our next extended trip back to KC, we will nail down a reservation EARLY.

My husband and I took our first get away in 12 years away from our three young children. We were looking for peace and relaxation along with the opportunity to shop, experience great food and fun. We found it here! The carriage house was absolutely beautiful! Barbara and Stephen thought of everything when creating this fabulous little get away! We enjoyed peaceful and quiet evenings sitting on the balcony over looking thier gorgeous yard, including a gazebo with a pond and fish! I enjoyed many wonderful and relaxing baths in the jacuzzi and simply felt like we were at home! Thank you for a perfect stay!!!

There is nothing that could have been better about our stay. The Carriage House is simply magnificent. The details of the home are top of the line and everything was perfectly planned and constructed. We have been fortunate to have been able to stay in many vacation rentals but this one is absolutely one of the nicest. Barbara and Steve, the owners, are very welcoming and accommodating. If we are ever in the area we would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend it to all that were traveling to this area. No one would be disappointed. Thanks for such a wonderful stay.

We have stayed in numerous VRBO/HomeAway type properties around the country and The Carriage House is near the top of our list! The location is ideal for exploring downtown Kansas City to the north or Country Club Plaza to the south. Situated in an established neighborhood, the setting is quiet and peaceful. The owners live on the property and are very hospitable. They have done a fabulous job renovating and redecorating their carriage house. The amenities are as luxurious and modern as any upscale hotel, including an updated bathroom, washer/dryer, a full kitchen, internet, and flat screen TV with DVD player. The apartment is clean with everything you need for a comfortable stay. In addition you will have access to a covered garage for your car and a working security system. The Carriage House will be our first choice the next time we visit Kansas City.

Our family recently spent two nights in the carriage house and were very pleased with our stay. In our opinion there is no better location in Kansas City. It is located in a beautiful, quiet historic neighborhood and is only minutes from all of the places we wanted to visit including the Country Club Plaza, downtown, the Power & Light district, and the 18th & Vine area. The accomodations were great. Everything from the furnishings to the kitchen to the bedding was top-notch. It was also a great value. I don't think you can find better accomodations for the price.
