The owner and management company were very easy to work with and were able to get us in at the last minute! The living room is exactly as pictured and very comfortable. We enjoyed the fireplace and had a great time.

Fall and Winter Excursion

We had a great time, beautiful fall leaves, apples, cider, and a winter snowstorm. We stayed in for 2 days while it snowed, built fires, made soup, and S'Mores. Coming from Florida it was very cold but we're originally from Massachusetts so it reminded us of home. The hikes in the Smokies and Blue Ridge were breath taking. This was our 3rd Fall trip to the area so we'll definitely go back. Downtown Waynesville was very quaint, great restaurants and shops. We loved the house, all the sliders looking out at the mountains and we enjoyed making a snowman on the deck and playing pool downstairs. We would definitely recommend this house and area to other people.

My husband and I stayed here for an extended weekend. This property was great for us! The view is truly breathtaking. We arrived mid-morning Friday, since there was no prior rental, they let us in early. We went straight to the porch and did not leave the rockers until dark. When the other reviews say the view changes throughout the day, they were right! The leaves are just now changing. I'm glad we picked this cabin, as it is roughly 4300 ft and the leaves change sooner in the higher elevations(I read this before picking our cabin). It's secluded way up on the mountain side which was also adventurous for us. We played pool one day, but we mostly enjoyed sitting upstairs either on the porch or fireside admiring the view. We did venture out to Bryson City on Saturday to do the Great Smokey Mountain Railroad-Nanatahala Gorge tour. That was a great tour. You get dinner and cocktails and the leaves and scenery were fabulous. Thank you Betsy for allowing us to enjoy your little piece of heaven! I hope we can do it again next year! This was one of the most relaxing get-aways we've ever done.

everything about the cabin is so welcoming and comfortable. the views over the mountains changed throughout the day - it was so beautiful and so peaceful. we were also thrilled with our visits to Cataloochee and Cades Cove. To experience wildlife in a natural setting is a rare and exciting opportunity. We saw many elk, and in Cades Cove we watched a mama bear and her cubs feeding. Other highlights include shopping and dining. More than anything we emjoyed the beautiful creation God made for us

when we got out of our truck in the driveway the snowflakes started to fall - beautiful! it was like a dream that we were in a beautiful log home on top of a mountain with snow outside. We enjoyed a great week traveling to Gatlinburg and Sevierville. Dillsboro, Sylva, Waynesville, and Franklin were all fun places to visit. The Biltmore Estate was awesome. What a great week of vacation from our busy lives. our son enjoyed trying to climb a couple of mountain side. Today we got our Christmas tree

My wife and I came to find a place in the area we plan to build, and for a log home experience. It could not have been more perfect. Even Buddy our cocker loved Rebels Escape. We have purchased a lot across the road in Creekstone and will begin building this fall so we will be neighbors. We thoroughly enjoyed staying in your lovely cabin. We held an old college freshman reunion from WCU from 1970. Ten of us got together, some husbands, and had a blast reminicing and getting caught up with 36 years of new experiences and new memories. Enjoyed hte peaceful atmosphere and freedom to guffaw and not disturb any neighbors. The wraparound porch is lovely and conducive to visiting and relaxing. Thanks for sharing!

This was our second trip here and definitely wont be our last, we love it here in the mountains. we came last year in December, it was a little too cold. This year it was very nice. We look forward to coming back next year to this beautiful town of Maggie Valley and all the rest of North Carolina. This year we had the enjoyment of traveling into Tennessee that was very nice. We feel very at home here even though it is a lot difference than we are used to. well we will see yall next year

Words cannot describe how wonderful it was to spend countless hours sitting in the rockers watching the mountains change as the sun and clouds moved across the sky. Your home is so beautiful and comfortable. We had a wonderful time and hate to leave and return home. We will always treasure memories of Maggie Valley and hopefully can return soon.
