This home is on a premier location at Williams Lake. The home offers 110 feet of lake front and includes a dock for you to moor a boat and jet skis. With Turnbull National Wildlife Refuge just minutes away you will always have wildlife to enjoy. The lake itself is like a human refuge from the craziness of city life, yet in just a few heart beats civilization is there for you if the need arises. Even on weekends you never feel like you arrived at the zoo, and on week days it’s extremely peaceful. The lake is perfect for the weekend warrior and/or the person who prefers to relax and enjoy the rugged natural beauty. Whether you are looking for a romantic getaway or the ultimate family vacation, this is it! The property includes; hot tub, fire pit, and many more amenities. Top Rated Fishing Lake. Bicycling is real popular also in the area. There are two resorts that offer great restaurants and weekend entertainment during the summer. Williams Lake is truly an oasis for everyone

Family: Our family has been coming to Williams Lake for over forty years, and just over twenty years ago our parents built this Chalet style home for their retirement. It is our desire to share our parents home with you to enjoy and build memories of your own at Williams Lake. It's our sincerest hope to provide the best possible experience for you; whether you are looking for a family vacation, romantic getaway, small reunion place for old friends, or just a place to escape.

Restaurants: There are two fabulous restaurants at each end of the lake. Klink's is within walking distance of the property. Xanny's is a five minute drive or boat ride away. Both are apart of their respective resorts Klink's (Williams Lake Resort) and Xanny's (Bunker's). Each provide their own specialties. Customers are known to drive for many miles to indulge in these establishments. Check their web-sites for further details.

Cheney and Spokane: Cheney is home of Eastern Washington University and is a small town which provides a variety of amenities. Grocery stores, bars, and terrific eateries. During the second weekend of July Cheney host one the largest Rodeo's that brings tons of cowboys and cowgirls from all over the region. Yee Haw!!!

Spokane was the home of the 1974 World's Fair. This world class city is the Gem of the Inland Northwest. If a night on the town is desired your needs can be fulfilled. Riverfront Park is considered one of the most family friendly environments in the United States. The Spokane Falls, during the spring, are a must and can be enjoyed from the Gondolas directly above or from several fine dining restaurants.

Wild Life

As mention, Turnbull National Wildlife Refuge is nearby. The Refuge is open year round from dawn until dusk and has many walking and biking paths to enjoy nature at it's best. But frankly you don't have to go there to enjoy God's creatures. From the property you will enjoy Osprey's, turkey vultures, geese, swans, cranes, hawks, mallard ducks, humming birds and even the occasional Bald Eagle. That's just naming a few of the 200 plus feathery friends you'll likley see. Deer, elk, and moose can be commonly seen. There is an abundance of other creatures but typically they are only heard not seen (coyotes). Go to the Turnbull Wildlife Website to find more info.

Spokane

Within a short drive from Spokane, 33 golf courses, 11 wineries, five ski resorts, five major national parks, the Columbia River gorge, and the Grand Coulee Dam. Spokane is home to annual events and attractions that draw people from the surrounding area. Every year in May, Spokane hosts the Lilac Festival, which features many events including the Armed Forces Torchlight Parade held the third Sunday of May. The Lilac Bloomsday Run, held on the first Sunday of each May, is a 7.46-mile (12.01 km) race competitive runners, as well as walkers, that typically draws about 45,000 participants. Hoopfest is held the last weekend in June, and has a variety of participants, from kids, teens, and adults to former college and NBA players, in their respective brackets.

Weather

Spokane means 'Children of the Sun' in the local native language. Unlike Western Washington this part of the state is dry. You can experience four full distinguished seasons in this part of the U.S. The area, is typified by a very warm, arid climate during the summer months and a cold, somewhat snowy, and moist climate in the winter. Because the area is surrounded by the mountains you can generally count on good weather during the summer months. Summer time during the day you can count on a dry heat with temps in the upper eighties. While at night cooling off to around sixty degrees. Perfect for pitching a tent and sleeping outside. A little known secret for the locals is September and October is incredible time. Rarely rains and the temperature still is warm enough for most outdoor activities. Lake temperture during the summer hovers between 75 -82 degrees, perfect for cooling off during the day, or moon light dip.

Water Craft Recreation

Small to mid size boats up to 22ft are the ideal size for this lake. If you have a raft, canoe, kayak, row boat, small sail boat, modest fishing boat or the tricked out luxury ski boat you'll find this lake will give you hours and hours of enjoyment. We do provide a paddle boat for your pleasure. This lake offers fantastic water recreation. Williams Lake is annually rated one of the best trout fishing lakes in the region, even if you don't have a boat we have caught our limits off our dock more often than not.

Public access to launch your boat is open from dawn to dusk (Need Discovery Pass) or you can pay a $5.00 fee at the local resorts.

Columbia Plateau Bike Trail

The Columbia Plateau Trail runs 130 miles between Cheney, Washington, and Pasco, Washington, on an abandoned rail bed. Parts of this trail are near by and can be connected to on many of the roads in the area.

Four Seasons

This region of the country offers 4 distinct seasons. June - August are considered the peak time of year for the lake because the weather is typically warm and dry. The months of September and October are perhaps some of the best months to stay at the lake. The weather is typically dry and still warm during the day. As the fall progresses the autumn colors begin to pop. The sun sets at the end of the lake providing beautiful photo ops. Plus with the summer gone even the weekends are quiet. Some of the best opportunities to witness the wildlife is during this time of year. Plus the water is still warm for the diehard water enthusiasts. Hunting season you can hear the hunters at work. The winter months are quiet, but it's especially beautiful if you like to enjoy the snow. The early spring is typically the wet season. But fishing season starts end of April so the lake is definitely hopping pretty much from this point forward until Labor Day but mostly only on the weekends.

Ultimate Lake House

This is the perfect getaway for friends and family. We had the best house on the lake by far. The owner met us on arrival and went out of his way to make us comfortable. There is a great restaurant within a 5 minute walk if you don't want to cook. However the house has everything you need. Kelly really made us feel welcome and we will make this a tradition every year. This is a perfect family weekly vacation home with wii fi and direct tv for that extra comfort. I know people from Tacoma and Seattle might think it's a little far but it is worth the drive. The fishing was great and has plenty of trout for everyone, but the house takes the bait LOL.

Best. Vacation. Ever.

Where to begin? For the 7 of us - 4 adults and three children - the location and amenities were ideal for a one-week vacation. The kids loved swimming in the lake, toasting marshmallows for s'mores in the fire pit, and family games around the dining room table. The adults loved the cycling, running, wildlife, grilling, and time to just hang out and decompress.

The property was clean, and extremely well stocked with towels and kitchen-related items. We hosted a party for 25 family and friends one night, and the layout was perfect - small groups or larger groups could congregate and move around easily. The owners went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed, and were extremely receptive to any suggestions or requests we had.

We did not take advantage of dining at Klinks, literally a stone's throw across the lake, although I heard nothing but praise for that experience from locals (my mother has eaten there several times and recommends it). There was no cell service for AT&T, or almost anyone else (I think) - that could be a minus for some - and the land line was set up to only make local phone calls. Wireless internet kept us connected if we wanted to - and allowed the kids the ability to get online and play games if they wanted.

Would I recommend this location? Absolutely and without hesitation. Was it without problem? No, but just about as close to that as you could reasonably expect. Sometimes, the upstairs got a little hot, even with the AC running. The upstairs TV had cable (useful for following the Tour de France in the mornings!) but no DVD/VHS player, while the TV in the master bedroom had a DVD/VHS player but no cable. The cabin gets potable water from a well, so long showers or multiple loads of laundry + running the dishwasher were discouraged, but this was never a problem for us. One set of adults had to sleep on a futon, which was perhaps less than ideal, but the accommodations were otherwise lavish for a summer rental.

At one point when preparing for the party, I realized we didn't have enough ice. It took 15 minutes to drive into Cheney to get it. That's about exactly right for me - close enough that you could go into town to get supplies / find something you had forgotten to pack, far enough away that you never, ever heard traffic. I saw more deer than cars when I rode my bike.

Great for Entertaining

We rented only for one weekend, but it was the best weekend we've had in a long time. Friday night the wife and I dined on the lawn, before a fantastic sunset over the lake, and it was an incredibly romantic setting, also sitting on the dock after and listening to the lake sounds. The resort provides quiet music drifting across the lake until about ten. Sat. night, we entertained a party of 15, and there was plenty of room for everyone. The multiple levels on the deck were enough to keep it from being at all crowded, and provide intimacy for anyone wanting a moment away, as well as having plenty of space for everyone to be together. The barbecue provided was enough to cook a whole mess of steaks, the kitchen was well stocked with pots and pans and utensils for our party prep, and overall the comfort was amazing and the property was very well maintained and attractive. The house is amazing, beautiful, and what a view! Kevin was very helpful, friendly and nice, and gave us a welcome basket of stuff to make S'mores! My only regret is we didnt have time to stay all week and bring the kids, because they would have loved it.
If I had one complaint, it would definitely be the bees. There are lots of bees, but they arent too aggressive, and nobody got stung, so all in all, it was pretty much perfect, and the price is simply too low.
It is rather far from Spokane, but its easy to find if youve got Google, and there are some stores nearby. Also, if youre coming for any amount of time, bring a boat. Of course, if you cant, you can always rent one at the resort around the corner.
Thats about it, really... Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and we highly recommend a stay here for any family or couple looking for some time away or a nice place to entertain friends. Thanks Kevin!

Williams Lake Getaway

My wife, parents, sister, and brother-in-law recently stayed at this quaint cabin on Williams Lake. Our stay was very enjoyable, and would highly recommend to anyone seeking time away from the hustle of the big city. My family and I are avid anglers, mainly all salmon, but were pleasantly surprised by the abundance of trout in the lake. Great size for BBQ’ing or a morning/evening of stories. The cabin has all the amenities of your house, but the satisfaction and enjoyment of relaxation.

Upon arrival we were greeted by Kevin and a generous welcome basket with all the S’mores fixing, and a bottle of sparkling cider. We felt very ‘at home’ after arriving, and immediately took advantage of everything the place had to offer. 2 minutes down the road is a nice resort community (Klinks) with a great restaurant. I do highly recommend reservations for dinner. We called a week in advance and only 2 reservations remained for a party of 6.

The cabin came stocked with all the kitchen utensils, plates, and glasses you could ever need. Onsite is a beautiful wrap-around, multi-tiered deck with hot tub and gas BBQ. The dock is a healthy size to accommodate a few boats. The yard was completely fenced-in for our dog, with plenty of room in the yard to run freely. Additionally there is a great fire pit to take-in a sunset while roasting marshmallows.

Overall it was a great experience, and a place I would highly recommend. Thanks Fischer Family.

Relaxing getaway weekend.

My wife and I were in need of a weekend away and for us it is usually difficult to find cabins which allow pets (we have 2 medium sized dogs). However, we found this awesome place and after contacting Kevin and Kelly stayed 3 nights. Kevin was there when we arrived to show us around, answer questions, and give some information about local restaurants. The view of Williams Lake is excellent from the big wrap-around porch and we enjoyed having the fenced-in yard for our dogs. The deck also has a hot tub (which could fit 4-6 people) and the yard has a fire pit for campfires. We were also pleasantly suprised to receive some complementary s'mores making supplies along with sparkling cider from our hosts. The house was clean and very spacious, definitely room for a family (master bedroom downstairs, twin bedroom upstairs, and a pull-out sleeper sofa in the upstairs loft). The upstairs loft also has a 3/4 bath and TV/entertainment center which includes DVD/VCR and a few movies. The kitchen is well stocked and a BBQ grill is available if you are cooking your own meals, otherwise their is an excellent resort within a <5 minute walk called Klinks. Their food and service was superb and they do have a website if you want to check out the menu before you go. We called ahead to make reservations, but this probably is not necessary until peak camping season. Otherwise, Cheney has food options and Spokane is not very far away either. We were also able to rent Kayaks from the resort nearby (Williams Lake Resort/Klinks) for very reasonable price, although the cabin does have a paddle boat and row boat available. The dock also has room for mooring a boat or pontoon and extends far enough from shore to do some easy fishing. Overall, our stay was very pleasant and we would definitely recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a place to relax, enjoy the outdoors, or hang-out with family/friends.
