This new apartment sits right on the coast of Chile in the town of Con Con. It has complete and unobstructed views of the ocean just off the deck. The Bay of Con Con, the Aconcagua river and the coastal mountains can all be seen. Access to and from the area either in your own car or by public transportation is quick and easy.
Completely gutted and rebuilt in 2009 using the best of materials. It was built to withstand seismic activity and built well above the Tsunami line. It was put to the test two weeks after completion with the earthquake and Tsunami had on 27 February 2010 and the apartment had zero damage. All window are vinyl double pane with UV protection. Apartment is very well insulated, with a northern exposure taking advantage of passive solar energy that keeps it cool in summer and much warmer in winter then most buildings here. Apartment is very clean and secure.
It has a very cozy woody feeling and the views of the ocean are intimate and unique. There are very few apartments in the area like this one.
Con Con has been a small fishing village since it's foundation in 1542. It has grown in the past years to become a small city yet it still maintains it's small town attitude and style in most areas. There are many possibilities for practicing different sports or going on different outings. Due to it's location it has access to the whole coast, the inland agricultural sector, and the Coastal and Andes Mountains. All within a days reach or less.
We are close to two major wine growing areas. The Casablanca Valley and the Aconcagua Valley. Casablanca has numerous wineries and restaurants for tasting and grommet food.
There are a tremendous amount of restaurants in Con Con from which to choose. Being a coastal town the majority of restaurants specialize in seafood.
Con Con is 20 min to half hour from Vina Del Mar and Valparaiso is on the other side of Vina, making it an easy trip into either one of those big cities either by car or bus.
Apartment rents as a Vacartion Rental. It can also be rented for longer term. Please inquire for prices and information.
The apartment is part of a greater complex of five existing apartments called Con Con Bay. There is a manager / maintenance man for the units.
I was originally born in California. I grew up there and graduated from San Diego State University in 1986. I started working in South America in 1991, first came to Chile in 1994 and moved here in 1995. I have been working in real estate along with quite a bit of designing and construction. I also take people on customized tours such as surfing and wine tours in and around the area. We live in one of the five apartments we have here at Con Con Bay.
This is a fantastic area with many possibilities.
