3 Bedrooms, 2 Bathrooms, Convertible bed(s), Sleeps 8

Relax Relax Relax...sit on the porch and watch the world pass. My family & I have created a sweet & memorable home for our guests. After days spent at the beach or golf course, fishing, boating, hiking or antiquing among other pursuits you will welcome the return to our lovingly restored turn of the century cottage.

Abundant space (2400 sq ft) with plenty of privacy also..the cottage is a single level, free standing private home with up to date amenities and plenty of parking. Walk 2 blocks to beautiful Spring Bayou with its flower beds, sea walled promenade and gallery of Victorian homes. Watch dolphins and manatee in the quiet bayou or drop your fishing line into the quiet water and try your luck. A short 15 minute walk takes you to the historic Sponge Docks area with its working waterfront, Greek restaurants and cafes.

There are several excursion boats to consider and quaint shops to browse in...including a 'haunted 'soap shop next to the Cuban cigar makers.

Gulls and pelican criss-cross the blue sky and flocks of noisy African parakeets fly from ship to ship. Cooking smells from the numerous restaurants mingle with the briny scent of the nearby Gulf of Mexico. People wander by savoring delicious looking pastries from the many bakeries that line the main street. Grab a dockside bench and watch the crab, sponge, fishing and pleasure boats pass along the Anclote River.

Our cottage is also convenient to banks, antique shops, restaurants and the great, new Public Library in downtown Tarpon Springs. Our city has a wealth of cultural events all year long and the renowned Pinellas Trail for running, biking, walking is 2 blocks away. We love our cottage and think you will also.

I just returned from a girls' weekend here with my mom and sister. We had a wonderful time! The pictures on the site don't do it justice-- It is much more beautiful and spacious in person. It was such a cheerful and relaxing place to return to each day after wandering around the local attractions. The owners were very accommodating and easy to work with, and made sure that everything was ok after our arrival. I really appreciated all the extra thoughtful touches they provided-- a huge collection of movies, board games, little shampoos/conditioners/lotions, and even games/toys to keep young kids entertained. It was definitely hard to leave! Hope we'll get to stay here again sometime.

We just returned from a week at this lovely bungalow, and we cannot recommend it enough! It's very spacious, and clean with every amenity necessary for a great stay. The location is within a short walk to the sponge dock area, but also there is beautiful Spring Bayou within 5 minutes where you can see manatees occasionally. Jim recommended a great place for meats - The Acropolis Market - where you meet two very engaging and gregarious butchers and can purchase fabulous meats and house made sausages. There are also many good Greek places to eat locally and other types within a relatively short drive. There's a great front porch for sitting with a drink, plenty of good board and card games, childrens' toys, and a wonderful collection of videos for your down time. We hated to leave....you won't be disappointed.
