Beyoglu Apartment Rental Photos and Description
Apartment, 2 Bedrooms, 1 Bath, (Sleeps 4-6)

firuz!place is on the first and second floors of a 19th century traditional Turkish house. The apartment has two good-sized bedrooms (one double, one twin) with a shower-room on the first floor. Bedrooms are separated by a hallway and arch with curtains for doors. A sweet brick staircase leads up to the open-plan living/dining space and spacious balcony above.

It’s 90 m2 in total and full of character. The location of firuz!place is excellent and interesting: Cihangir/Cukurcuma are ‘happening’ areas in Beyoglu, yet still very authentic.

A short wander in one direction will bring you to quiet streets of antique shops and in another to Istanbul Modern contemporary art gallery on the Bosphorus. Orhan Pamuk’s Museum Of Innocence is right opposite firuz!place and Istiklal is just up the hill.

firuz!place comfortably accommodates five people.

We thoroughly enjoyed a long weekend in Istanbul and were enthraled by the interesting and diverse city. Our accommodation was in the nicest possible area, beautifully furnished and equipped and the perfect destination to come home to after a day (or night!) exploring.

I would have no hesitation at all of recommending this property to anyone wishing to enjoy amazing Istanbul. We will be back!

Istanbul place is an excellent apartment - sufficient for a family of 5. The two levels to the apartment made it quite unique. The location was great with only 10 minutes walk to Istaklal, but also surrounded by great local shops, cafes and restaurants

I would definitely recommend this friends and family.

Nice apartment in perfect location

This apartment was really very nice. We were a party of 4 and there was plenty of space - even after a week we didn't feel cramped. But the best thing was the location. The apartment is on a small quiet back street lined with residential buildings and antique shops about 10 minutes from the Tophane tram stop. Trams come every couple of minutes and take you direct to Sultanahmed / Aya Sophia etc. Supermarkets (Carrefour etc) are about 5 minutes away, and you have easy access to Istiklal Caddessi, Taksim square etc which are pleasant for an evening walk. We were really pleased we stayed there - it is close enough to the main sights, while being far enough away to see some of "normal" Istanbul. There was an Istanbulkart attached to the keys as well, which was very useful. If there are problems at Taksim square, this apartment is hidden away, and you probably wouldn't know anything was happening.

A gateway to the main sights

We were met at the airport and transported in a clean van to the apartment. At the apartment we were met by Monica (sp) whom explained all the nuances associated with the apartment . Had an explanation of the tram system (which we did not need as the location of the apartment is such that we could walk to every site we wished to visit).

This apartment is all about location. It was central to everware we wished to go . We walked the tram was 5 mins away. The house was very quiet , no issue with noise from the neighbours . The minor downside was that utensils for cooking were limited and there was no toaster. People that care. My wife got food poisioning . I e mailed them for doctors / hospital addresses. Instead of just an address they offered to come over and take my wife to the hospital. Fortunately we did not need to go but it is so nice to know that in a foreign country help is there. We thank you.

Definitely would recommend as a great place to stay and we are extensively travelled,

Wonderful apartment in a super cool neighborhood

Our family of four recently spent four nights at Firuz!Place and loved it. Everything was excellent - from the booking to the stay itself. We arranged for an airport transfer (very convenient and reasonably priced) and were met at the apartment by the helpful and friendly Monika. Although the apartment is not too far from the hustle and bustle of Taksim and Istiklal, it feels worlds away. We had considered cancelling our trip because of the press regarding the recent demonstrations - I am so glad we didn't and so glad we stayed in Beyoglu.

The neighborhood of Cukurcuma is quirky and charming - loads of funky antique shops, hip cafes and markets, friendly neighbors. It is convenient for exploring the rest of Beyoglu and just minutes away from the tram to Sultanahmet.

The apartment is ideal - well designed and maintained, with all the comforts of home, including a nicely equipped kitchen, very comfortable beds, great bathroom, sweet little terrace. The bedrooms were on the small side, but all in all this apartment was really quite perfect for Istanbul adventures.

We would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend it to family and friends.

Great spot in Istanbul!!!

We stayed in 3 different Istanbul locations and this one was our favorite - a lovely spot, extremely clean and well-decorated, in the midst of a historic and fascinating Istanbul neighborhood. While a bit farther from the main sites, this neighborhood offers a window into life in Istanbul and in particular, local artists and antique sellers. Really a wonderful spot! Tarkan and his team went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time in Istanbul. We've rented many apartments in European cities and this was the best place/company we've ever stayed with. Can't recommend them highly enough.

At Home in Istanbul

My husband and I love to travel, but we are very lazy. Usually we go to warm weather climates, lay around in the sun, snorkel the reefs, read, eat and sleep. Think sloths. This year, I decided we should challenge ourselves a bit and go to Istanbul. Our youngest daughter would be arriving some time in March so we planned our trip around her visit.

We intended to spend our entire time in Istanbul, a little over two weeks. With that in mind, we wanted our own place and a friend recommended IstanbulPlace!

firuz!place was perfect for us. First, it was in a neighborhood and not plagued with tourists (like us). The beds were comfortable and the furniture upstairs was plush and we could relax easily after a hard day of sightseeing. Yes, there are stairs in firuz!place, but easily manageable for people like me (dangerously close to 70 years). The kitchen is very workable and once we bought eggs, bread, juice, coffee, cold meats, and cheese (all in neighborhood stores), we fixed breakfasts and some lunches for ourselves. There were plenty of cleaning supplies to wash dishes and launder our clothes. The coffee press was perfect for our morning cups and the panini press worked well for our sandwiches. We had no intention of making our own dinners while in this city of fine dining.

Just down the street is the tram that will take you across the bridge to all most famous sites. A convenient transportation card at the apartment can be used for most all public transportation after adding money to the card and this makes it quite easy to get around.

The most interesting collection of antiques, used clothing, and odds and ends stores were found in our neighborhood. There is also a Haman only a few streets away and my daughter and I had our first Turkish bath.

All in all firuziplace made us feel at home in Istanbul and that's quite an accomplishment in a city of over 10 million people. I would return in a heartbeat, meanwhile we have great memories.

Very good apartment, located on a quiet road but within easy walking distance of Galata Tower.

The apartment is well sized for 4 people, with the kitchen and living area very well appointed and clean. Bedrooms and bathroom are also finished to a good standard.

The service we received was very professional, always responding to email/texts promptly and everything was exactly as promised.

We would definitely stay here again if returning to Istanbul.

A convenient and comfortable base in Istanbul

My husband and two young children and I really enjoyed staying at this apartment. The location was great - within a 20 minute walk from all the important and fun spots. The apartment was extremely clean. We enjoyed meeting the very helpful owners. Would definitely recommend this to anyone. The only downside was that the bedrooms did not have doors so sound traveled easily.
