Amazing -- just like we wanted but beyond what we expected!

This condo was our second week in Hawaii and after staying at two mediocre places we weren't sure what to expect. Well, it certainly surpassed our expectations and provided even more than we were looking for.
1. The bed was very comfortable (PLUS).
2. The sofa was very comfortable so we didn't have to sit on our bed to watch tv.
3. The kitchen was well stocked with spices, coffee filters, more than one trash bag.
4. It was quiet. We didn't hear others except when we were on the deck.
5. There is a keypad to enter so you don't have to worry about ever losing your room key.
6. Water pressure in shower (with two heads) was wonderful.
7. The view -- amazing!! While we did not see one turtle when we were there, it was awesome to sleep with the windows open and listen to the waves. Hint-- open the shades all the way up or you will be up all night as they hit the window frame.
8. The location was perfect.
9. Boogie boards, beach chairs, umbrella, cooler are available to use.
I was comforted to find two "hurricane evacuation backpacks" hanging in the closet. Certainly hoping to not need them, it felt really good to know the owner of this property cared that much.
While we enjoy our grandchildren we really wanted a vacation without a lot of kids milling around. There is NOT a pool at this place, and it is located near the end of the road, away from the main beaches. While some people may be disappointed in this, we were delighted because there were not many children. There is a great coffee shop 1/2 mile away which made for a nice morning walk.
Without a single doubt, if we make it back to Kauai (and I think we will) we will be wanting this place again.

p.s. If you get there, be sure to check out the Jack Harter open side helicopter. We flew 2/14/13 and we are STILL smiling!!

Excellent Vacation Choice

We stayed in thisnunit for 3 weeks and loved it. This unit is great. I would recommend this unit to anyone who asked. The owners have gone out of their way to make it unit comfortable. Great furniture, high end appliances, every cooking utensil you might need, and lots of room. Lots of extras like binoculars to watch the turtles and whales frim the lanai. The lanai is very large with a fantastic view and has two chaise lounges and a set of chairs and table to eat on. We spent most of our time out there. The on site staff are very helpful for questions you may have and the grounds are immaculate. We were impressed. The location is perfect as you are close to town, restaurants within walking distance, and lots to do in the area. We would come back here anytime. The owner provided lots of suggestions ahead of our visit and was great to deal with. You cannot go wrong staying here. We loved it.

Excellent Remodeled Unit on the Ocean.

This is a newly renovated unit. Everything is modern and up to date. The building itself is well maintained. The building is on the ocean front. If you like snorkeling it is one of the best spots on the island. The owner has thought of everything to make you holiday complete, by supplying beach chairs, towels, cooler bags, umbrellas, etc. The Unit is spotless and has beautiful granite counter tops and stainless steel appliances. The views are lovely from the large lanai. We were able to see the fireworks on Dec 31. After a long day out on day trips, hikes, etc. it was great to come back to this lovely unit. The owners also provided a binder of helpful hints and restaurant suggestions. Thank you Bob for making our time at Kuhio Shores go so smoothly.

Perfect location and view!

We are just wrapping up our stay and can not belive how wonderful the condo and the views were! The condo underwent a great remodel (they even have a book about the remodel process with pictures in the unit). The Kukui'ula shopping center is about 3/4 mile away (great little walk) and has several restaurants and a great market called Living Foods. Reservatiion process was simple and quick- you can tell lots of TLC went into the unit-Can not wait to return!

Beautiful pceanfront condo for any vacation type

My husband and I loved staying here- we had the the windows open all the time when we were there and could listen to the ocean all night. We would see the turtles swimming right outside every day. The remodeling inside is beautiful and the condo is stocked with everything you could think of to make the stay comfortable. The owner was very responsive and helpful. We would definitely return to this specific condo if staying on Kauai again.

Absolutely wonderful

This was our first time to Kauai. We have previously vacationed on Oahu and Maui. We loved Kauai. The location of the condo was perfect. Sunrises off the lanai and sunsets on the other side of the condo. Bob's condo was very clean and well equipped with everything you could need. Nice restaurants & shopping in the area. Great snorkeling right outside your condo. We loved watching the big sea turtles from the Lanai.
Bob also provided us with plenty of information about the area & car rental discounts.
This was definitely a vacation worth repeating. So far Kauai is our favorite Hawaiian Island.

We liked this oceanfront condo very much, especially the sunrises, as we arrived with our two kids from Europe (11 hours time difference). Everything is there and more. We enjoyed our stay here and we definitely want to come back in 2 years. The owners are very friendly and the reservation process was very easy. Thank you again.

Fantastic remodel job! Right over the water with mirrors on inside walls that even extend the wonderful view. Very complete kitchen with everything at your fingertips. Felt brand new and oh, so clean!! Sea turtles are fun to watch, and so are the snorkelers. Close to wonderful restaurants....we went down each evening with our cocktails and watched the beautiful sunsets! Also enjoyed the tour of the Allerton Gardens just down the street. Will come again for sure.

Modern, Charming Kauai Escape

My wife and I stayed in this lovely, modern condo for three nights just before the holidays. Robert was accommodating and provided plenty of helpful information prior to our arrival. The condo was very clean and had everything a visitor would need. The Poipu location was great, and the views from the Lanai are even better. We would definitely stay at Kuhio Shores if we are ever lucky enough to go back to Kauai. Highly recommended.
