We just got back from one of the most relaxing weeks in my life. Our dogs just got back from one of the most exhausting weeks of their lives. The house is gorgeous and has all the amenities. The view is spectacular! Even though it rained a couple of days, we had the HDTV and the internet and a suitcase full of books to keep us occupied. Dillon Beach is one of the few remaining beaches that allows dogs and our pups romped in the surf and body surfed every day. A 1/2 hour trip to Hog Island results in a bag of fresh oysters which we ate raw, bar-b-qued and baked with garlic butter and Gruyere cheese. Nick's Cove on the way back from Hog Island has a crab 'n Mac n' Cheese and an oyster Po' Boy to die for. It is so quiet out there you'll think you've gone deaf and we never tired of just staring at the ocean as the pattern of the waves breaking changed each day along with the weather. A walk along the beach to the end and back is about a 3-mile exercise trip to help walk off that Mac n' Cheese. Petaluma and major grocery stores are only about 40 minutes away allowing you to restock the fridge as needed and the fellow Dillon Beachians are wonderful people and very friendly and accommodating. A short trip north takes you to Bodega Bay where Alfred Hitchcock filmed "The Birds" so you can re-live the movie that scared the poop out of you as a teenager. Tippi Hedren was actually in the restaurant at Bodega Bay signing autographs last time I was there a couple of years ago...and she's still gorgeous.

This house is at the end of a cul-de-sac in an exclusive area in a development above the beach. The house is clean, nicely furnished, well-kept, and comfortable. The furnishings are new or next-to-new and are well-maintained. Bedrooms are downstairs; kitchen and living room up. The view is spectacular. The wifi was strong. One of our party has an issue with stairs, but because the kitchen, living room and half bath are all on one level, it was easy for him to get around. The dining room asily seats 8. It's just a very few minutes drive to the beach itself. I have rented lots of homes in the U. S. and abroad, and this is one of the nicest.

We had an absolutely lovely week at the beach. It was a great house. The kids enjoyed the play station and pool room and we enjoyed the great view! The distance from the beach is a healthy hike, we tended to drive the kids (teenagers) down with the dog and then we walked down to meet them. We typically walked back with the dog and then drove to pick them up. With skim boards and chairs and towels, the hike down to the beach and back would have been a bit much.

The house was clean, well-maintained. Beautiful view and great dinner table. We enjoyed spending time together in the upstairs and look forward to coming back.

We all escaped for Easter this year and did something different, we went to the beach ! and we went clamming, what a blast.. This house has stunning views, my father sat in the large picture window with the telescope and his binoculars and whale watched and monitored the boats out fishing. We watched the same two deer cruise the neighborhood every afternoon out the kitchen window. The famous Hog Island Oyster Company is down the road (a nice drive) so we picked up Sweetwater Oysters and BBQ'd them back at the house on the balcony.
The beds were comfortable and the house spacious, we'll be back..

We were here for Thanksgiving. The house is very comfortable. We usually stay in the village but this is a nice change.

I knew this was going to be an awesome place to stay right away- my old lab, who can take a day or two to get over her anxiety of being in a new place, immediately ran into the house and up the stairs, wagged and took in the smells and views from the balcony for 3 clear days (we got lucky). Everything we needed was here. Had breakfast at Route 1 Diner in Valley Ford- the huevos rancheros was awesome! Thanks a bunch- we will be back!

A great place to watch the rain sweep in off the Pacific. We've got 3 toddlers and a crawler here.

The view is beautiful. We just had Thanksgiving dinner and now we're going to play the board games (you) kindly left for us. I hope everyone keeps them nice like we did. Waking up to that view, wow, but playing at the beach, just as good. I miss my family back in ... but there fine (love u mom). Well just about to eat pie! Ur all so jeliouse!
