amazing location, relaxing stay

My fiancee and I stayed at this wonderful vacation spot earlier this year. Beautiful views during the day and the night. The property was very nice, clean, and had everything we needed, hot tub, washer and dryer, even DVDs to watch. The owners were very helpful and very nice. We would definitely recommend this property for anyone who want a quiet, relaxing stay, away from the noise of the city. The entrances to Joshua Tree National Park are nearby, there is a Supermarket about 15 minutes away, and really good pizza place in 29 Palms called Pie for the People. We really enjoyed our stay. Lovely place.

Tranquil Honeymoon

My wife and I stayed at this beautiful cabin on the edge of the park for our honeymoon and had the most relaxing and peaceful stay. The owners were very welcoming and accommodating and set us up for our week. We took naps in the hammock, under the eave of the porch, with nothing going on but the sound of the desert and the mountains all around, we soaked in the hot tub as the sun set, we hiked right out the front door into the desert and around the mountains, we watched TV and movies on the television, and sat by a crackling fire under the desert full moon sky. The bed was more comfortable than ours at home; the kitchen was equipped with everything we needed to cook in if we wanted, there was even a grill. The cabin was immaculately clean, cozy and comfortable. Joshua Tree town center was a short drive away and if you took Baseline Road, it felt as if you were in the middle of nowhere with just the rocks and desert all around. Great cabin, peaceful location, centrally located to all there is to see in the area. Could not have been a more perfect honeymoon spot! Thank you Leslie and Todd!

A Peaceful Retreat

I enjoyed my stay here thoroughly. The cabin was quiet, clean and had a nice view of JT National Park. We used the jacuzzi at night to enjoy stargazing. That was beautiful. The owners are friendly and accomodating. The location allows perfect access to several entry points into the park and trails.

Our hosts were warm and gracious. The house is spacious and a great respite from the desert heat. It's so great that it's on the edge of the Park. We were visited by a number of creatures who were also looking for respite. It was such a blessing to have a private pool to swim in every day. And sink into the soft couch to read...

My family and I had a wonderful magical time here at Todd and Leslie's oasis.
Highlights: Laying back on pool floaties watching meteors. The lovely spacious cabin, the AC is fantastic, which sounds a little specific, but out there you appreciate an AC that cools the place down in seconds during a hot afternoon. Waking up to see the sunrise over Joshua Tree Nat Park out your front door. The hosts have thought a lot about what makes a nice stay, things like a through notebook of things to do and where stuff is and how it works. Amenities are great. Bathroom spacious and clean. Lovely front porch, and nice area to hang by the back yard pool, which is salt water not chlorine. the landscaping around the house is enchanting. Jack rabbits we saw like it too, munch munch!

The hosts are super cool, we really enjoyed meeting them, and yet they gave us complete privacy, so we felt away from it all which made our trip comfortable and magical. Thanks Todd and Leslie!

everything we hoped for!

The property is located off a dirt road on the edge of Joshua Tree Park and the cabin has a beautiful view of the park from the living room and bedroom. The cabin is located near the main house but we had plenty of privacy, The cabin was equipped with all the necessities with a jacuzzi and above ground swimming pool. We were looking for a place to get away from it all and we found it! Very peacefull and quiet. We went into the park a couple of times and also visited the farmers market in 29 Palms and spent the afternoons reading and taking dips in the pool. The warm evenings were enjoyed outside stargazing and we had a fire in the pit that is provided. It was nice to be able to bring our dogs but the desert is a bit harsh for them in the summer time plus they are not allowed on trails in the park. I don't think we will bring the dogs back but I know we will be back! I want to thank the owners, Todd and Leslie, for a great place to 'get away from it all'.

No Need To Think Twice!

If you are checking out this rental-don't think twice. You've found the perfect place! We stayed at this little piece of heaven, for only two days in April and hated to leave. The views, wherever you look, are fantastic and the star-gazing was amazing. This cabin is squeaky clean and has almost everything you need. We loved that we could grill up our dinner, take a short drive up the road for lunch or pick up a few snacks the nearby market. Leslie and Todd are fantastic hosts and they provide all sorts of information for you to make the most of your stay. I loved this retreat and highly recommend it to anyone looking to get away and enjoy the peace and quite of the surroundings- and a soak in the hot tub of course.

Awesome...

Todd and Leslie should be congratulated for their hard work in making this such a lovely getaway. One of the problems I have with writing a positive review is that when you let everyone else know just how awesome the place is, it gets busy and you can't get your dates any more! The guest house is at the end of the world with the property line at the national park boundary, three steps and you are in! However, civilization and Stater Brothers is just 4 miles down the road, as well as BK, Del Taco and a couple of other well known chains if you're too lazy to cook. The views of the wild desert are spectacular, the silence is total, We've never heard the swish of a bird's wings flying over until we spent the weekend there. The cabin will comfortably sleep a couple and one child, perhaps two if they don't mind sharing. Numerous hiking trails are within easy driving distance but don't come out to 29 Palms for the night life... it probably consists of cruising Del Taco's drive thru. However, if you are looking for somewhere to switch off from the big city and noise, if you want to relax in comfort in a spotlessly clean guest house with all the amenities listed, if you're running away from civilization and just want to sit on the porch, read a book without distraction and glance up to unobstructed views of the desert, this is the right place to do it. And for those with the same phobias as me, we saw no rattlesnakes in the back yard, no big spiders anywhere, and no mosquitos either. It was a blessing for me to be able to sit out at 11pm with a book and read on the porch without being bitten to death. Todd and Leslie will do everything to make your stay as private and comfortable as they can. They are approachable and very friendly. We only had a couple of very small things we shared with them and they are hopefully working on these for our next visit! :) The bed is a queen size so if you are a "big" couple or roll around a lot, it might be a little snug. The room is big enough for a king and we encouraged them to consider it. The shower head needs a little CLR to free it up from the hard water calcium. Other than that, really, we thoroughly enjoyed our beautiful weekend at Indian Cove Ranch. Just don't all rush out and book the place now or we'll be unable to get the dates we need!
