This penthouse condo is a wonderful place for two or three people who want a grand view of the Atlantic. The condo is tastefully decorated and the master bedroom has a large walk in closet for storage.
We were visiting during a week of abnormally cold and windy weather so we did not get to use the balcony much. However, the morning sun does warm it up nicely and we did get to try it out some one day. It has some very nice furniture where you can relax and enjoy watching hundreds of birds diving for their food (not just pelicans either). There were also numerous sightings of porpoises and what we think may have been a small whale because it was so big. There are also land turtles below in the dunes that like to come out in the heat of the day you can spy on. The balcony is very relaxing. The condo also comes with some nice binoculars that allow a nice perspective on things.
This unit is right across form the elevators and the trash shoot which is very convenient. The parking area is very well kept and they really check on parking compliance.

The owner is very nice to work with, very accommodating and honest. Would rent from her again. Condo is nicely decorated, clean, and comfortable. Equipped with just about everything you need, including binoculars for dolphin watching. The view is without a doubt unmatched. We greatly enjoyed sitting on the patio and listening to the water while enjoying the panoramic view. Very relaxing !!!! Just what we needed. Thank you for sharing your place with us.

We had a wonderful experience from beginning to end with this rental:
1. The owners are professional and honest. All questions are answered completely and prompty.
2. The view of the ocean from the condo is breathtaking and expansive.
3. The condo is squeaky clean
4. It is beautifully furnished. It made me feel beautiful!!. The furniture is very comfortable as are the beds and linens. This is a deal maker/breaker for me. Why would I want to stay in a place on vacation that is not as comfortable or beautiful as home? No worries here.
We would love to return next year.

Stop searching and book a stay in this condo. My wife and I stayed here over Easter and could not believe how wonderful this place was. We have rented 6 other properties using VRBO and never stayed in a place as wonderful as this. The views from the balcony are breathtaking. The sound of teh waves put us to sleep and then woke us gently in the morning. Everything they promise about the condo is true. We even got to see dolphins playing around a group of kayakers one morning while eating our breakfast on the balcony. Lastly, I have never seen a kitchen so well stocked with sharpe knives, like new pans and skillets, and every applaince we needed. If we return to Amelia Island we will not look for another place to stay, we will book this condo again and again.

GORGEOUS! WE HAD A WONDERFUL TIME!

My family and I stayed here last August when I was pregnant with our second daughter. The condo is gorgeous, impeccably furnished and maintained. The grounds are beautiful and we loved the fact that there were two oceanfront pools. We had a fabulous time and are disappointed that the condo is booked for the dates we needed this year. We will most definitely come back another time!

Our stay in this exclusive beachfront condo was one we
will always cherish. If you like sumptuous settings, immaculate, as
well as beautiful, then I highly recommend this property. The
gorgeous interior, decorated with a keen eye for the unusual, will
make you feel like you’ve been plunked down into an Architectural
Digest Magazine layout. Formally owned by film great, Richard
Widmark, this vacation property sits directly on Fernandina Beach,
with the magnificent Atlantic just outside the door. Not only did we
enjoy dinner on the balcony, but the quaint little town, just blocks
away, boasts lots of fine dining and fun things to do and see. After
visiting the Fernandina Lighthouse, the oldest structure on the
island, we spent the rest of the day investigating the many shops.
Then, a meal at the Café Karibo, was just what the doctor ordered.
What fun. And just when we thought it couldn’t get any better, the
evening before we departed the Ritz-Carlton, right next door, put on a
spectacular Fourth of July fireworks show! Ours was the best seat in
the house. If you get the opportunity to enjoy this high-rise condo,
do it! It will be your best vacation yet. You will come back year
after year. I guarantee it!

OMG!! You can stop searching now; you have found paradise at the beach!! I just spent 10 fabulous days at this beautifully decorated, immaculate penthouse home. Everything the owners says about this place is true, plus some. The balcony is huge and the master suite is perfection! The beds are better than any I've stayed at in hotels (and I'm a flight attendant, so I've stayed in a lot of hotels...lol). The kitchen is all you could wish for or need. To be able to prepare your meals while seeing the ocean is absolutely wonderful. Sitting on the balcony, we saw at least 10 sea turtles below us in the dunes. I was fortunate to be on the beach and watch a sea turtle come out of the ocean and make its way up the dunes to safety. Walking the beach and seeing the dolphins at sunrise really makes you appreciate life. Note..always take a bag or bucket when you walk the beach because the shells are plentiful and beautiful. The historic district of Fernandina Beach is wonderful; so many shops, restaurants, and beautiful old homes. A short drive from the condo, you can catch the Mayport ferry and cross over to an old-fashioned fish camp right next to the ferry port called Singleton's Fish Shack. It was wonderful. From that side of the ferry, it's also a short 36 miles to St. Augustine. This is the most relaxing and restful vacation I've ever had. I was pleased to be able to meet the owner and thank her personally for sharing their beautiful home with me. I look forward to being able to go back next year. Thanks again Patty!!!

What a beautiful condo! We spent the week of 9/24/11 through 10/1/11 in Amelia Island at this property. It is freshly and tastefully decorated and well equipped. The condo is very roomy. 2nd bedroom and guest bath has a privacy door from the hall to the living area of the condo so it is almost like a second master suite with the accompanying privacy. Balcony is large with a panoramic oceanfront view. We are picky and this was just about perfect. The owners were a delight to work with and provided lots of helpful information. We will definitely be returning.

One word to sum up the condo, the decor, the view...BREATHTAKING! My family and I recently stayed at this condo and I cannot say enough good things about it. As others have mentioned, the view is to die for! The condo is clean and spacious with a lovely decor. What sets this condo apart is that the owners have thought of the little things. From the basic handy items you might need like tissues and Q-tips, a laundry hamper, area restaurants, beach towels and chairs, to games, movies, and books for your enjoyment. The master bedroom has a sliding glass door to the patio where you can listen to the soothing sounds of the waves from the comfortable king bed or sit out on a lounge chair and take in the sights and sounds of the ocean. The second bedroom is perfect for children and with a flat screen TV and built-in DVD player, my children had no problem going to bed each night! We had a great time and are already planning our trip back next year. I give it an A++++ and recommend to anyone visiting the Amelia Island area. Did I mention the view? LOL

This Condo was just ablosutely perfect and a wonderful place for our vacation. The Condo was just amazing with everything new and updated. The view from the very large balcony was amazing and so very relaxing. There was no detailed overlooked by the owners when decorating the unit and we felt very much at home. The location of Ocean Place was wonderful as well and the beach is great for all ages. Thanks for a wonderful stay and we will be back and would recommend this unit to anyone looking at it!!!
