3 bedroom 2 bathroom main house with a guest cottage with kitchen/bath

Our home is a charming cottage in Altadena, CA. with a guest house on a private, gated property that is near everything. Close to LA and at the base of the San Gabriel Mountains.

The main house It can sleep 8 and the guest cottage can sleep 2. Our modern kitchen can cook up a wonderful Holiday family meal. Seat 10 comfortably around the dining room table and an additional 6 in the Kitchen, or two can sit on the breakfast bar. And after, sit and watch Blue ray movies in the family room on the 51' flat screen or play a little Wii. When you get tired rest in our comfortable bedrooms. (bedroom1 : King size bed. Bedroom 2: two single/twin beds. Bedroom 3: double/full. family room : Full Futon. Cottage: Queen bed) More friends and family coming, we can leave you a queen Air Mattress.

The clean and well equiped kitchen has granite counters, a dishwasher, a standing oven and a microwave convection Advantium smart oven. With a washer/dryer in the house you wont have to over pack.

We have lovely views of the San Gabriel mountains that surround us and we are minutes away from hiking in Eaton Canyon, yet only 15 miles from downtown LA or LA live. A 50 minute drive to Disney and all Anaheim has to offer. We are 5 minutes from the Rose Bowl acquatic center and the Rose Bowl Stadium.

There are DVD movies, toys, books,TV w/cable and Wii, Netflix and high speed internet. This is a perfect choice for a family or two.

Beautiful tennis courts very near and a horse corral if you want to go horse back riding.

We are a family of 5. I am an attorney and my husband is a computer engineer. Our home is decorated in early childhood. We have two kids now 7 and 9 and they are happy to share all their toys and arts & crafts. Papa, my dad, is retired and loves to play tennis on the gorgeous public course up the hill. Some days he walks to the courts.

Excellent Family Friendly Home

My family flew in from across the US to spend the holidays in LA. This home was the perfect family-friendly space to accommodate all 7 adults plus 2 children. My daughter was entertained with toys and crafts, while my sister and her 5 month old were comfortable in their own private cottage. The owners are extremely friendly and accommodating. The home was also in a perfect location for our needs, easy access to downtown but in a more residential area. I would recommend this home to anyone looking for a relaxed, family-friendly place in LA.

This property was perfectly situated for the needs of our family! We went out specifically to enjoy the Rose Bowl Game and festivities and the location was perfect.The property description,location, layout of the house, and amenities were as described. It was clean and well maintained. The Lanch family was a pleasure to work with from beginning until the end. Communication was great. We traveled with two families that included two 9 year olds, a teen, two couples and mother in law. Everyone had their own space. I was a bit taken aback that the master bedroom and the second bedroom were so close. However privacy was not an issue and it did not pose a problem.The personal touches of a welcome basket and notes left throughout the home was appreciated. The owners were very accomodating to the needs of our family, offering tips, and suggestions for activities. We visited downtown LA several times with ease. The Grove and even Disneyland were a cinch to get too as well. I would recommend this property to a friend or relative and rent it again for our family if the occasion arose.
