We truly had a amazing time! Your home had a lot to do with that.

First of all the location off the golf course made the vacation...feel like a vacation! A real vacation! Even my close friend who is a native local, said she felt like she was on a vacation when she visited us!

The home was clean and every detail was considered. The scooters were perfect for two busy little boys! The pool was wonderful for the whole family! The temperature of both the pool and spa was perfect as well!

The view we had of the golf course and the pond was more than we could have asked for!

Thank you again for letting us stay in your home! We are already planning our return dates next year!

Over the twenty years I have been visiting the island since I last lived there, I could not imagine staying any place else. That is except for our own home located on the lot next to yours!

My family of 5 (ages 11 to 75) spent 8 wonderful days and nights at Hale Nene Poipu and could not have found any house more perfect for us. We plan to return every year for many years to come. This amazing home far exceeded our expectations. It is huge, providing lots of space to enjoy time together and moments of quiet solitude. The house feels both luxurious and extremely comfortable. Elise has filled it with everything one could possibly need or want –completely stocked gourmet kitchen and bathrooms, extremely comfortable furniture, boogie boards, beach chairs and towels, board games, and guide books. The house is also perfectly situated – on a quiet street with easy access to all that Kauai has to offer – only minutes from amazing beaches, snorkeling (we saw sea turtles starting on day 1 at a spot Elise recommended), surfing, boogie boarding and one of the best fish markets (Koloa Fish Market) on the Island. We bought fish at this market and relaxed at the house while cooking the fish on the lanai grill and watching the parrots fly over the golf course almost every evening. The house is also a convenient location for day trips to Waimea Canyon, Hanalei Bay, the Na Pali Coast, whale watching and sunset sails.

While staying at Hale Nene Poipu, we felt like we were in paradise from the moment we woke up to the moment we went to sleep. Thank you Elise for making your home our home for 8 perfect days.

Thank you for sharing your beautiful home on the Kiahuna Golf Course with us. John and I spent a glorious ten days exploring and just enjoying beautiful Kauai. You have thought of everything to make your home welcoming and enjoyable. The kitchen is fully equipped and stocked with essentials as is the laundry, beds were very comfortable and the linens top quality. We felt right at home with everything we needed. We could not have asked for more.

My husband Al, sister Sue and her husband Jeff and I stayed at Hale Nene Poipu this spring. We were there to celebrate our 30th anniversary and are from Alberta, Canada.

Suffice it to say, this was one of the most beautiful spots we have ever been. We arrived at the house late so it was dark when we drove up, but the house was impressive even then. When we walked in, we were astounded. Everything required for a perfect vacation was there. The way the house is designed is perfect for two couples. Sue & Jeff had the master suite on the pool level; we had the suite on the main level. The bathrooms were huge! There’s another room on the pool level with its own bathroom, so you could easily stay three couples or add a couple of kids.

Our mornings started with Kauai coffee on the deck watching the golfers trying to hit the green on Hole 3 of the Kiahuna Golf Course. In the distance is the ocean & we were lucky enough to see whales breaching (bring binoculars!). When we tired of watching Hole 3, there were four other greens to keep our eyes on. As well, many colourful birds made appearances. Then it was down to the pool and our loungers! Again, everything we needed was there as well, such as beach towels. We finished almost every day in the hot tub. We enjoyed cooking in the kitchen. Sue was flabbergasted with the top end appliances (she is a HGTV fan!). The outside BBQ & subzero fridge on the deck kept our "sodas" really cold. Took a Blue Hawaiian helicopter tour & loved it. Also drove to Waimea Canyon; I highly recommend this trip & it’s not that far from home. Drove to Princeville on the northeast side - gorgeous. We only did one round of golf because Al had hurt his arm. He was the best caddy I ever had! If he’d been healthy, we would’ve golfed more. After 12 p.m., with cart & club rentals, it's $120 each on our “home course.”

Elise was fantastic and responsive to our every need and request for information. She really cares about you and the quality of your vacation. There are rules to the house, and if it were my house, I would have the same rules. Really, if you treat this house the way you would treat your own home, you will be fine. It was comforting to know that someone has the same values as you do. This is her home and she & her family are generous enough to share it with us.

Hale Nene Poipu was just what we needed - luxury, sun & relaxation. I will never forget this time and the laughs we shared. MAHALO ELISE.

Had a wonderful week long stay with 2 other couples. Was a bit apprehensive traveling with a group of 6 however this worked out perfectly. The home was large enough to provide privacy yet comfortable enough for our dining and Happy Hours on the rear Ocean View deck. The home was even better than described, very elegant and first rate decor, amenities and location. I would highly recommend this home to anyone looking for an elegant getaway to beautiful Kauai. Am looking forward to booking our next trip.

We had a fabulous stay at Hale Nene. House exceeded expectations and Elsie was like dealing with your best friend! Wonderful kitchen and well appointed. Everything was top notch from linens to beach toys. We didn't need a thing to have a superb vacation. There was nothing left undone from a renters perspective! Enjoyed grilling on the built in grill on the lanai. The pool and hot tub were awesome-warm and clean. Have rented several other homes in Kiahuna and nothing compares to Elsie's attention and the beautiful home she shared with us. Tried to book a return visit for 3 months from now and the house was already booked or we would be back staying here again.
Elsie is a renters dream to work with. Could not have asked for more- and we have high expectations about the homes we rent. We would nightly recommend this home to anyone traveling to Kauai.

My family stayed at the Hale Nene Poipu in mid October and had a wonderful time. The layout of the house was able to accommodate 4 adults and a toddler but could easily sleep a few more.  The house was immaculate and very well maintained. The kitchen was state of the art and a dream to cook in! The house is situated on a very well maintained golf course and my only dislike was they do the maintenance in the early morning. The pool and spa were just the right size and again very well maintained. Overall, a very high end, well maintained property.

I look forward to my next vacation at Hale Nene Poipu.

I just wanted to send a short message to say I really enjoyed my stay at your beautiful home. Not only was the house gorgeous it was beautifully decorated. The location of the home is stunning and the view of the golf course and ocean is breath taking. You definitely know you're in paradise once you arrive to the home.

My kids really had a great time and enjoyed the salt water swimming pool. All the amenities were nice as well. The flat screen televisions, DVD players and stereo system were great! From kitchen supplies, pool equipment and toys to beach chairs and boogie boards your home was fully stocked and ready for any family to have an amazing time in Kauai! I've stayed in many five star facilities and your home is definitely five star!

I know any family who stays at your home will have an amazing time and love it. I'm sad and miss the house already . . . I will definitely contact you again to rent your home in the future. Thanks so much.
